Loved the Violet Waffles hat you made so I got the pattern and made it up in DK weight for my adult grandson in dark grey. Looked good on me too which was a surprise so will be making one for me too now. By the way, I am also one of your older watchers.
I've watched your vlogs in my 20's and now my 30's lol I tried to watch someone else's vlog and got so annoyed and I feel bad for typing this (I'm pregnant with my very very very late baby boy, my eldest is turning 12 this year lol) I told my husband I can literally only watch Little drops, Stranded, Ollie & Bella and sewsweetviolet and Sewraeme vlogs, it's soothing, funny and relatable ❤ thank you for the lovely vlogs/podcasts. My husband's response, the tea and biscuit people just do it for you. Indeed they do lol
Oh my, Ali. Your Skillshare story almost brought me to tears, I’m not sure why. Very impactful. Your drawings are amazing, I hope you are able to put more time into your art. Love your channels.
Oh thank you Kathleen! That's so kind of you, I really never wear it, but I was comfortable in it whilst chatting away on the podcast so it'll definitely remain in my podcasting wardrobe 😁😘
no pressure - definitely enjoying your emotional and artistic development when it comes to your drawing. you have so many things that you’re good at, but drawing - wow. enjoy it :)
That's a beautiful sweater, Ali, and that colour purple is gorgeous on you. I love the creative journey you're on - thanks so much for sharing! I'm so happy you're doing the April Vlog :-))) Cheers!
I had too watch this episode twice today , because the 1st time I watched my husband wouldn’t stop interrupting me to chat about his hockey game on tv!
Particularly rich and juicy episode - love everything - I feel like I'm part of a very fun club when I watch you. Lovely sweater you are wearing, i put the book recommendation in my Amazon cart (I'm 64), loved the stories you shared as part of the questions from your skillshare class, just everything interesting. I will definitely participate in the dodgy bag along too. Hugs Ali! Thanks for the sunshine. (Edited to add: I had also saved the granny square sweater pattern on Ravelry, and I will definitely crochet a Strawberry Shortcake doll with you if you do one.)
You are a wonderfully human being, I'm subscribed to both of your channels I don't comment much but I love listening to you, I feel I am sitting with a friend chatting. I just wanted you to know you are truly a warm beautiful human being inside and out 🌼🌸🌺
I'm so glad that you finished your Dad Cornwall socks! I just finished the Doris Shawl by Kat Goldin, which is named after her grandmother. It is made with this gorgeous purple yarn, colorway is "Ruth", which was my grandmother's name (and also the dyer's grandmother's name). As I was finishing it, my mom called to tell my that my other grandma had passed away. So, it's a very special shawl. It will be making it's debut at Granny's funeral (her name was Virginia). It will always remind me of these two wonderful women, I was able to call "Grandma" and "Granny". I miss them both very much. I also am reminded of what was going on in my life, or what show I was watching, while crocheting and knitting my projects. That's why I always take something to work on while on vacation. Almost a month ago, my husband and I went on a cruise to the Bahamas and Mexico. It took a pair of socks and a hat to work on. I knit a bunch of sunshine and fun memories into both of them. I finished my hat and can't wait to finish my socks. Both will keep me warm here in Chicago and remind me of my fun vacation.
Dear Ali, am just starting my catching-up after a couple of stressful weeks/months and it's such fun! The Moomin socks look really great but I must say the "winner" is the pair of "Cornwall-Dad-Socks" - they are just sooo beautiful. I'm very much looking forward to seeing what you've been up to in the last weeks! Hope you're having a lovely weekend😘 N.
Thank you Ali, for such a nice podcast. I think the sweater you are wearing is very pretty! It is certainly never too late to nourish your creativity. I often wish I had pursued drawing but never had the encouragement. But I encouraged my son who draws and paints professionally and he is amazing. I really didn’t start to knit seriously until I was sixty and I love it so much! So you have so much creativity to look forward to!
The purple crochet top looks wonderful on you - you should keep it! I know what you mean about memories attached to knitting projects, sad and happy. Hope you can wear your socks with good memories of your father now- glad you eventually finished them!
April VLOGs coming soon. I am so happy for that. I am going through a bit of something and your daily company will be welcomed. I love your first crocheted top.
Even something you don't wear often is useful as it taught you something about crochet and garment design. It does have lovely lacey sleeves that just sing of spring...
I'm so glad you've finished your Dad Cornwall socks and can now focus on the good memories with it! Is there anything better than colouring in David Attenborough.
Hi, I think the crocheted top is cute, and I like the longer sleeves. You should wear it more! I would make the Strawberry Shortcake dolls! Ha. Thanks for the book recomm! 😊😊😊
I love your top - it really suits you. As well as useful there's beauty in taking the time and effort to create something individual. Another great episode, thanks.
All your content is lovely to watchAli,this was extra special.I hope you go from strength to strength with your drawing,it is already so good.I love your vintage top,the colour is so pretty and the socks made from your 'dad'yarn are lovely❤
Your creative journey is really going to explode with the course you are taking. Sounds like such fun! Your cross stitches are just great. You could make your Little Drop into a needleminder. I would most definitely order one or two!! I'm looking forward to the April vlogs.
Hello from British Columbia, Canada. I enjoy watching your blog. Lovely purple sweater, I hesitate to make any kind of garment that has to fit as it’s quite a lot of work and expense to find it doesn’t fit. I just like to watch/follow blogs from other parts of the world…. So much the same, and so much different at the same time. It took awhile to figure out what a jumper was. When I was a child, this is what we called a sleeveless a-line dress that you may or may not wear a blouse/t-shirt under
Hi Lorraine! So lovely to have you here! I think for us Brits it's sometimes easier as we have so many American and Canadian speaking TV and movies over here, so we pick up on the different words for things watching those :) Sometimes I even say sweater instead of jumper 😃
Wow! Such a lot of beautiful hats, and the dad Cornwall sock are fabulous. Such a shame that 1 traumatic experience changed your whole career, but I think you’ve done some amazing projects. Skill share are a wonderful resource and once I’ve got myself a bit more sorted I think I will definitely be having a go at some of their courses, especially the one about crafting businesses, I left school and went to work in a bank and continued until I had my children. I dabbled with crafting but in the last few years have really embraced it. I was encouraged by my late husband, so in tribute to all of his encouragement I’m going to try and make a go of things. Thank you Ali for all your great advice, stay safe love and hugs xx
I would love to see you remake this sweater with all of the crochet knowledge you have now! I'm so interested to see if they would look really different. I'm so excited about the dodgy bag mal! It's time I pull out my sewing machine and give it a go!
Ali, you look fabulous in your purple crochet top! The colour really suits you, and it fit your body perfectly, you should wear it often! I feel berry and purple tone colours really suit your complexion and hair. Love all your makes, I have just started to knit DK weight socks for the first time, I heard they are soooo comfortable and squishy! I am looking forward to wearing them, writing this now before the end of your podcast, I will have to come back to listen to the end! 😊 Hugs, Suze. 🥰🧶🐈⬛ xxx
Thank you so much Suze! That’s very sweet of you. I’m always interested when someone thinks a colour suits me, as I’m terrible at identifying it myself. I quite like blues and greens when I wear them, I will add purple to the list! 💚💙💜😃 I hope you love your dk socks! They are satisfying to make and very squooshy to wear xx
Hi, I love to knit hats as well. Lately, baby hats !! . I have knitted a couple of Violet hat pattern also. Love the warm colors of your Violet hat. Your creativity is inspiring. Thanks for the company.🌸
Love your channel - I only found you quite recently and I'm part of the mid seventy brigade too : ) A piece of trivia from the days when I watched soaps...Calliope = CAL - I (eye)- o (as in "o" orange) PEE 😉 You are a little drop of wonderful. Love from a very windy Adelaide S Australia X
Pretty hats! "Calliope" is also a genus of hummingbird. Kah-LIE-oh-pee My sister has them around her place and the males make the cutest courtship "dive-bombs" with a hilarious squeak at the bottom!
Haven't all people with artistic inclination been given a gift? The gift is having the artistic inclination in the first place. There are people, with the best will in the world, like me, can't draw for the want of trying. So the people that can have been given a wonderful gift and should use it to the fullest. You have a gift for creativity, use it to the fullest.
I would definitely join a strawberry shortcake make-a-long. Love your Podcasts Ali and look forward to your April vlogs. I've also followed your tutorials for your dodgy bags and might be brave enough to try a zippered one in May.
Wonderful creations!! I love making hats so I’ll be checking out all of those. Hoping to join in on the sweater and dodgy bag MALs. Really, really looking forward to April daily vlogs. Happy for your epiphany and hope that moves you forward with your art. You have so much talent and skill I hope you can make it more of a priority in your life. Don’t wait till you’re my age to decide to do what you enjoy and makes you happy. 🤗💕🤗
Ali what a wonderful episode! (They are all good by the way 😅) Crafting and confidence, just wow! It has made me think about how I was treated in primary school, the negative impact one teacher had on me has stayed with me all my life. I think I will check out SS. Thank you for sharing your experiences. Here for the dodgy bag along too 😊
Your Dad's Cornwall Socks are lovely!! We recently had to say goodbye to Sandy, one of our dogs and I thought about what you said in previous episodes about these socks. I was working on a pair of socks at the time when her health suddenly deteriorated, so on Sandy's last afternoon with us before she went for her long sleep, I sat next to her knitting on my socks which also happened to be purple, her signature colour, and I've decided to call them my Sandy socks. It was such a hard day, but I will hold onto that memory of our last afternoon together knitting. It is still very fresh and painful, but I am sure in time I will think of Sandy and smile whenever I put on my Sandy Socks.
I have a few dodgey bags cut up and ready to sew. First, I have to get my machine tuned up. Scrap fabric from window valances and everything is matchy matchy with dpn cozys and a needle book I made.
Hugely enjoyed your pod today…..I loved hearing your thoughts about what has nourished or hindered your creativity and its wonderful to see you break out of restrictive beliefs……I especially loved your idea of making zines as it embraces a lot of your passions….I adore seeing women realise how free and creative they can be and REVELLING in it….it frees and encourages everyone…Yah! ❤
Your drawings are beautiful and competent. I lectured in art and design, my dad is a graphic designer/art director and my mum is an art teacher. You are definitely very creative and I’d be surprised if you didn’t take it further.
Hi, message from Sharon. I'm in awe of all the Strictly socks, But sadly I can't compete!, The socks I have produced so far, Are only suited to Hobbits feet! I never like to fail at things, And socks do really appeal, It goes ok for the main part, But I'm defeated by the heel! (every time), It's definitely on my 'to do' list, I'll just have to face my fear, Will maybe give them another try, For the Strictly Show next year! Love your podcast x
Oh my gosh this made me giggle! …. The heel, it’s true, can be a wriggle To face your fear And wait a year Is a good idea it’s true But keep in mind, When you’re feeling behind, That hobbits need socks too! 😄😘😘😘 Not as good as yours!
I have been tempted by your David Attenborough project before but expected the shipping to Australia would be prohibitive but I finally had a look via your link and discovered I can buy the pattern digitally ❤ so I did and now I can just gather the supplies locally. My almost 10yo is a great fan of his and will love the end result.
Great news! I do find myself learning all kinds of different things on there. I actually did look up oil painting and there were LOADS of classes...! Exciting! x
Hi Ali Strawberry 🍓 Shortcake, she smelt wonderful. The hats were brilliant but the sweater you were wearing is absolutely gorgeous, and the colour really suited you. Take care and look forward to seeing you again soon. 👵
You do have a gift for drawing. No, not everyone can learn to draw. I grew up in a very arty family. My father was an amateur photographer - good enough to be published but unwilling. My mother painted - from paper dolls for me to dresser drawers to fancy up a room. She also sewed - all my clothes - even when I was at University. No matter how much I tried, I never could learn to draw. Instead I discovered my own gift - I can write. I ended up teaching both art history and creative writing. We all have gifts - special talents - the trick is to discover what gift you have and not deny it. Embrace the concept of having a 'gift'.
I don't know how it would look in variegated yarn but the Antler Toque by tincanknits is a free worsted weight hat with gorgeous cables that I'm planning on making. Loves this episode as always 💛
So good to see you today! I have not been visiting regularly but saw your notification and it reminded me of the cute dress for your daughter . I thought I might need to dig to see it but you are not done. I want to share my experience knitting for my granddaughter. She wanted me to knit her a jumper. I was thrilled to do this after searching we found a pattern, then the yarn. I began… I had gauge… I lost gauge, repeatedly. Now I’m making an oversized jumper so no matter right? No this might fit her and six friends! I ripped and started 3 times. Decided on different yarn and pattern. Loved this project It took time to get fitting with a 16 year old. I finished a few weeks ago. She loves it, I’m so pleased… success! Don’t give up! It is hard to fit for ourselves and harder to fit someone else isn’t it? This is not impossible you are a capable crocheter. Go Ali!👗👑🌸💐🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶😂🌪️💥💕💖
Thank you Sally for the encouragement! And well done to you for persevering and getting that jumper finished! I will use your story as inspiration! The easter holidays are coming up so hopefully I'll get to do it then 😃xx
I love that jumper on you and the colour suits you so well. Another great podcast, I just loved it all, thank you and as i’m over 70 I will be looking for that book recommendation in my library!
Yes I can do that, I will try to do it soon. It's the Easter holidays soon so I may get a chance then. Keep nudging me if I don't, I am very forgetful at the moment 😁
I love this podcast❤❤❤❤. You make me laugh, think, and question all at the same time!!!!😂😂😂. I get so excited when I see a new video is up. I get my tea and snack ready, shut the door and snuggle up for a good show.
This sounds like me with my favourite podcasts - everything all ready around me, earpods in, ready for some good crafty chat! I’m so glad you feel this way about my videos too, this makes me so happy! 🥰😘🍓
Love it when there's a new podcast from you Ali. It makes my day to sit knitting watching what you've been making. I think your drawing is fantastic, you are very talented. I for one would definitely buy a drawing from you as they always look amazing. Love Marion xxx
I bought some Soy Cotton yarn from Marcia at the Knitting and Stitching Show last year and have been wondering what to make with it. Thank you for the Violet Waffles pattern recommendation. I'm going to give that a go. Non itchy hats are always a good thing! Thank you!
Hey Ali, I’m one of your early subscribers and I wouldn’t miss an episode on either of your channels. I’m one of your older subscribers (83) and I love every every minute with you. Looking forward to April and your daily blogs. I know it’s a lot of work for you but also know that you bring joy to so many. Hopefully can find Chance Holiday Card. Much love to you and yours xx
This is such a joyful positive vlog Alibobs - not that your vlogs are ever negative but this one is just happiness inducing.... thank you :)xxxxxxxxxxx
Love seeing your progress on David, I hope you got to spend some of Mother’s Day on it! The burgundy hat is just gorgeous, I never knew you could get yarn made from soy! 😯
I wonder if the “unfathomable depths” purple yarn is inspired by Ursula from Disney’s The Little Mermaid. I could be wrong, but that’s what instantly came to my mind when you showed it. Anyway, a great podcast as always and I’ve only just realised that what you refer to as needlepoint, I’ve always known as tapestry. I happened to pick it up during lockdown and only did it for a little bit until putting it down again. However, I’ve been thinking about getting back into it again as it would make a nice change, especially if I’m not in a knitting or crochet mood.
I wonder! I love that story so that would be a lovely connection 🧜♀️ I like to have other crafts to fill my non knitting and crochet moods 😄 Thanks so much for watching 😘
I am so glad you have had an aha moment as your drawings are amazing. You inspire me to get out my paints and pencils again, when I can grab some free time (hard with an elderly dependent parent that I care for) I have also revisited a huge granny crochet blanket to finish, it only has the border to go. Looking forward to your April vlog x
Ali,,,,Awesome episode,,,,, So much done,,,and love them all,,,!!!!hats really suit you,,,,,!!! Love that top you made years ago,,,,,!!! Love UR Socks!!!dad socks!!!♡♡ 🏠🏡elaine,,,, Look forward to sewing bags,,,,with my new to me sewing machine,,,!!!
*Thanks for stopping by for a lovely chat about crochet, knitting, cross stitch and general creative bletherings! I hope you have a lovely project on the go and a warming drink* 💕 *Don't forget that the first 1,000 people to use the link will get a 1 month free trial of Skillshare:* skl.sh/littledropsofwonderful03231 *I had an AMAZING time at EAYF, if you were one of the beautiful humans that took the time to say hello to me and have a chat THANK YOU from the bottom of my socially awkward heart* ❤ *Ali xx*
Take a piece of thin cardboard or construction paper, cut it such a tad smaller than your glass frame, and tape it to the back of your LOVE plastic canvas then you won't have to worry about light shining through it. Voila!
So fun and relaxing to listen to you chatting again while starting a crochet spring top! I love the idea of the dodgy bag mal! I can’t sew, but I would love to make my own cute project bags! I also saw that my second hand shop sells zippers and I know my mother has lots of leftover fabric and I love the idea of using stuff that’s already there. And my small town has a community centre where they host a “sewing” morning where you can use there sewing machines and get some advice. I might do that, sounds like fun!
Always a joy to see you and see all your making! Your art story /skill share section was so interesting and resonated with me! Glad you mentioned your Christmas jumper too because I’m in for that! My pattern is printed and the yarn on order! Now I can’t wait for daily April vlogs! Thank you so much Ali xx
I went to yarn festival Saturday afternoo and looked in case you were there but didn't see you.😢 I had my daughter and grandaughter with me, so got distracted. There were a couple of vendors I wanted to go back to and didn't. I can't remember the names, so hopefully, they will be on your podcast so I can contact them. Are you going to Buxton? Considering g but a but far from Suffolk and even further for you too.
I’m so sorry to have missed you Sandra! Did you have a wonderful time?? There were so many amazing vendors there! Not going to Buxton as it’s a bit far, maybe one day though! 😃
@Little Drops of Wonderful - Crochet & Knitting Yes, it was a good day out....I haven't been to a festival since before covid. I bought a few skeins as attempting some socks, which I haven't made for quite a few years. I might even manage your strictly sockalong this year. Looking forward to your April vlogs, have you released your festival one yet? Do you have any more festivals/shows planned for this year?
I press like before I watch because I already know it’s going to be good.😊❤
LOL glad I'm not the only one😊
@@stitchitch7010 I also push the like before watching too . It’s always amazing

Oh thank you Kathleen! That's so kind of you, I really never wear it, but I was comfortable in it whilst chatting away on the podcast so it'll definitely remain in my podcasting wardrobe 😁😘
well done finishing your dad cornwall socks, they look amazing and your memory really moved me. They will always be special to you x

April VLOGs coming soon. I am so happy for that. I am going through a bit of something and your daily company will be welcomed. I love your first crocheted top.
Oh Maureen, I’m sorry to hear this! I hope a little bit of daft company with the chickens and the rest of us offers a bit of respite xx
The colour of your “vintage” sweater looks terrific on you. I did speed through the vlog as I’m not too much into knitting/crochet.🇨🇦
Your crochet top is lovely on you as well as that color.
I think you are so talented at drawing. If you had one for sale in your Etsy shop I would buy it!! Even if it was a postcard size! Go for it! 💗
That is so kind of you to say, thanks Jane! 🤗
Your top is beautiful the way it is, and the color is one of my favorites!
Even something you don't wear often is useful as it taught you something about crochet and garment design. It does have lovely lacey sleeves that just sing of spring...
Very true! 😃😘
Looking forward to the dodgy bag MAL - yay Ali.
I’ll have to try to find time to join in with Strawberry Shortcake - my daughter was obsessed when she was young. 🍓🍓
I'm so glad you've finished your Dad Cornwall socks and can now focus on the good memories with it! Is there anything better than colouring in David Attenborough.
free hat suggestions-Angel Hat by Kay Jones, Bankhead by Susie Gourlay, Molly by Erin Ruth, or Graham by Jennifer Adams.
Thanks so much Jane for the brilliant hat pattern suggestions! 😃🤗
Hi, I think the crocheted top is cute, and I like the longer sleeves. You should wear it more! I would make the Strawberry Shortcake dolls! Ha.

I love all of your projects but mainly I love the banter!
Aw! Thanks Carol! 😊☺️
Really enjoyed todays Podcast Ali , you look really well
Your creative journey is really going to explode with the course you are taking. Sounds like such fun! Your cross stitches are just great. You could make your Little Drop into a needleminder. I would most definitely order one or two!! I'm looking forward to the April vlogs.
Great idea about the needle minder!
Thanks Jane! And Shari :)
I’m looking into needle minders for my little droplet, hope to get those sorted very soon 😃

Thank you Diana 😘
Love your channel - I only found you quite recently and I'm part of the mid seventy brigade too : )
A piece of trivia from the days when I watched soaps...Calliope = CAL - I (eye)- o (as in "o" orange) PEE 😉
You are a little drop of wonderful. Love from a very windy Adelaide S Australia X
Ah thank you Angela for the pronunciation and the lovely compliment! 🤗
Pretty hats! "Calliope" is also a genus of hummingbird. Kah-LIE-oh-pee My sister has them around her place and the males make the cutest courtship "dive-bombs" with a hilarious squeak at the bottom!
I love bonkers bird courtship displays! One of my favourite things on any nature programme 😁
That is the way I do my granny squares. Though I do an American Half double crochet since I do only two chains in my corners.
This is a good way to look at it! :) xx
I love your podcasts and vlogs!! I would love to join Skillshare
I would definitely join a strawberry shortcake make-a-long. Love your Podcasts Ali and look forward to your April vlogs.
I've also followed your tutorials for your dodgy bags and might be brave enough to try a zippered one in May.
🍓 yay! Glad to hear this Heather 😃
Thank you so much Evelyn! What a lovely comment 🤗
Love your purple sweater looking forward your April Vlogs thank you x
Thanks so much 😊
Hi lovely to see you 😊
Ali what a wonderful episode! (They are all good by the way 😅) Crafting and confidence, just wow! It has made me think about how I was treated in primary school, the negative impact one teacher had on me has stayed with me all my life. I think I will check out SS. Thank you for sharing your experiences. Here for the dodgy bag along too 😊
I absolutely LOVE the hats!
I am so sorry for the loss of Sandy ❤️ Very glad to hear you have your Sandy socks to west and think of her xx
Great podcast as always, a good pattern for aran hats is the wave of hope hat by LJM Designs, it's free and there's a matching cowl too. ❤
I'll check it out! Thanks so much for the tip! xx
Thank you.
I think you are experienced enough to make your hats now without a pattern good luck
ooooo not quite but maybe soon, thank you Delcia xx
I have a few dodgey bags cut up and ready to sew. First, I have to get my machine tuned up. Scrap fabric from window valances and everything is matchy matchy with dpn cozys and a needle book I made.
Really like the violet waffles hat. Also the needle point projects. Great episode as always.
Alice, on the badge, so looks like Phoebe
Aw 😊 She does!
Thank you so much Carol! xx
April vlogs🤗🥳
Yahooo. Can’t wait 🎉
Your drawings are beautiful and competent. I lectured in art and design, my dad is a graphic designer/art director and my mum is an art teacher. You are definitely very creative and I’d be surprised if you didn’t take it further.
Thank you so much 😀 Wow, you definitely come from a very creative family! My grandfather was an artist and poet but that's about it I think :)
I love your channel so much , its so relaxing and interesting and just lovely x
Thank you so much Hayley! I am so happy you enjoy it, I love chatting about my crafty obsessions 😃xx
Hi, message from Sharon.
I'm in awe of all the Strictly socks,
But sadly I can't compete!,
The socks I have produced so far,
Are only suited to Hobbits feet!
I never like to fail at things,
And socks do really appeal,
It goes ok for the main part,
But I'm defeated by the heel! (every time),
It's definitely on my 'to do' list,
I'll just have to face my fear,
Will maybe give them another try,
For the Strictly Show next year!
Love your podcast x
Oh my gosh this made me giggle!
….
The heel, it’s true, can be a wriggle
To face your fear
And wait a year
Is a good idea it’s true
But keep in mind,
When you’re feeling behind,
That hobbits need socks too!
A great idea! I did that with another cross stitch pattern, just bought the digital pattern and found the threads etc in my local craft shop 😃
I think that Kay Jones's Angel Hat would be super in varigated yarn. It's free in her Ravelry shop. Did you see Helen from Giddy Yarns at East Anglia?
Great pattern, thanks for the heads up about that one 🤗 Yes I DID see Helen at EAYF! It was so amazing to finally meet her in person! x
Thanks to your recommendation and code, I enjoyed a free month and am now a paid member of Skill Share! So much to enjoy on many different topics! 💛💛💛
Great news! I do find myself learning all kinds of different things on there. I actually did look up oil painting and there were LOADS of classes...! Exciting! x
Yippee April vlogs what a treat 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Ps love the hats
Hi Ali
Strawberry 🍓 Shortcake, she smelt wonderful. The hats were brilliant but the sweater you were wearing is absolutely gorgeous, and the colour really suited you. Take care and look forward to seeing you again soon. 👵
Thank you Molly! I still smell things sometimes that remind me of Strawberry Shortcake and it takes me right back to my childhood :) x
This is really interesting to read, thanks for sharing Gail! x
I don't know how it would look in variegated yarn but the Antler Toque by tincanknits is a free worsted weight hat with gorgeous cables that I'm planning on making. Loves this episode as always 💛
Thanks for the tip! I shall have a look for that one. Thank you Elena ❤️
Ali, I think your puffed sleeve top looks very attractive on you and it's a shame you don't wear it. You look quite becoming in it!
Oh thank you Kelly! xx
This will be my 3rd year participating in the dodgy bag M.A.L. it's such a fun event!
Thank you, for sharing your beautiful projects. It’s a joy like always. 💚🙏🏽🕊👏🏼
🤗 Thank you Olivia x
Hope you find and enjoy it Penny! My mum says she’s enjoying it 😃
Would you consider making a tutorial showing how you crochet your granny square? I am very interested in your method.
Yes I can do that, I will try to do it soon. It's the Easter holidays soon so I may get a chance then. Keep nudging me if I don't, I am very forgetful at the moment 😁
Great video. Love seeing what is happening. Garments are lovely.
love the hats and i do granny squares exactly the same as you and love it because you can't see a seam
Thank you so much Marion, always lovely to see you name pop up in the comments! 😘🍓❤️
I bought some Soy Cotton yarn from Marcia at the Knitting and Stitching Show last year and have been wondering what to make with it. Thank you for the Violet Waffles pattern recommendation. I'm going to give that a go. Non itchy hats are always a good thing! Thank you!
Oh yay! Glad you found some inspiration! It’s a really simple pattern, and held double it knits up nice and fast too 😃
Cannot wait for the April vlogs 😊
Strawberry shortcake doll 😊 I love the hats, et the purple jumper. Thanks Ali for the épisode 😊🤗🌸🌹
Thank you Priscilla! It makes me so happy to know there are subscribers in their 80s watching, a real honour! So thank you ❤️
This is such a joyful positive vlog Alibobs - not that your vlogs are ever negative but this one is just happiness inducing.... thank you :)xxxxxxxxxxx
Thank you so much! 🤗 I was feeling particularly bright and breezy 😁
Love seeing your progress on David, I hope you got to spend some of Mother’s Day on it! The burgundy hat is just gorgeous, I never knew you could get yarn made from soy! 😯
I’m onto a bit of colour now with the top half! I spent a fair bit of mother’s day hanging out with David 😄 🪡
So pleased you finished your “Dad” socks. Remember to wear them on Fathers Day xx
A lovely idea, I will ❤️
I wonder if the “unfathomable depths” purple yarn is inspired by Ursula from Disney’s The Little Mermaid.

*I had an AMAZING time at EAYF, if you were one of the beautiful humans that took the time to say hello to me and have a chat THANK YOU from the bottom of my socially awkward heart* ❤
*Ali xx*
Take a piece of thin cardboard or construction paper, cut it such a tad smaller than your glass frame, and tape it to the back of your LOVE plastic canvas then you won't have to worry about light shining through it. Voila!
Problem solved! Thanks Kelly! x
What a great thing to do in the community centre! A wonderful way to try a sewing machine and get help from experienced sewers, go for it! 😃xx
Destroy the like button yarn 🧶 major LOLs love the title and the colour
Haha, thanks!! x
Thank you so much Heather! I have been swatching for my Christmas jumper so hopefully sharing an update very soon! 😃
I went to yarn festival Saturday afternoo and looked in case you were there but didn't see you.😢
I had my daughter and grandaughter with me, so got distracted.
Oh, you've reawakened the yarn monster in me! I so want Third Vault in my stash now. 😻😻😻
👹 🧶 😄
Ali I really really like your top, I am a very new to crotchet but aspire to make a top just like yours, soon I hope x 😊
Thanks Jane! I made it when I was quite new too, so it’s definitely doable! 😃
