I sold Dino this radio. I also did the mod to it with the jack on the rear and the switch. At the time I wasn't aware of the issue with the rectifier and I never heard of Dino, but I am grateful I got to meet him in Higginsville that day.

well now that is a very handsome radio.sounds nice too. congrats on the new radio. 73,KB3AUM ps 3 nights ago my xyl got stuck in a snow bank about 2 miles from the QTH.after not hearing her call on the cell phone I got out my CB HT she had one in the vehicle and w/o that mode of comm.we would have been out of luck,cell phones don't work in this area,but the CB saved our butts. shes not a licensed ham.

Hee heeee, That is a great radio! Started out with the Lynx and then after I had cut every lawn in 20 miles for a summer I bought "Bingo" the Bengal. I know exactly how you feel about that radio. Still have them and they still work.
Hi Dino, you just made me jealous,,I have a pearse simpson bearcat 23 plan ,that's one nice radidio yiou got therei love upper and lower sidebands i have that on my consile 23 usb,lsb with vfo switch on the back,,, don't you just hate those three pin mikes, I just ordered a female plug for my bearcat the one it had got crushed ,, don't ask me how ,but yeah,, you the man going all that way to get it ,take care my friend 73 ,,, paulie
Hi. The individual crystals have a frequency for each channel, I have a six channel (A-B-C-D-E-F) Pearce Simpson radio to rebuild, but it doesn't have those crystals, which are the frequencies for T&R, I would like to know on each channel, can you help me? Thank you!
FANTASTIC! Yeah just wait till the SHTF and all the cell towers go dark. It will be just us CB ops and the Hams.And the public safety ops. Because we are both we will have double fun communicating with our friends and families and the cell peeps will wanna pays us to get their message thru.

Awesome! That is some dedication! I don't think I would make the same trip to buy a Uniden PC-122, my first SSB radio.
Guys like this are pretty much non existent now. He seemed like a nice guy that really enjoyed these radios.....RIP
