I'll never forget the day my buddy cut the muffler and resonators off of his 350z to make it louder. He paid a shop to put them back on the next day. It was a terrible mistake.
Yeah they need some expensive exhuasts to make them sound good, mine has a borla so it's not too loud and I think it sounds decent for a vq

I just looked at all of the aftermarket options for my Audi. Then bought the individual parts.
Magnaflow uses the best design, so instead of paying 2500$ for a cat back, I took the blueprints and welded in the exact parts.
Sounds about the same as the real catback my friend has. Not perfect, but close. His is louder. Same tone.
@@saltycanadian6190 Thats the way to go, when I had my mustang still I was shocked, an axle-back which is like two itty bitty mufflers and about 12" of pipe was $1200. I bought the same mufflers on amazon and had the shop put them on with ebay tips for $150 total. Complete rip off.
That Camry really didn't sound bad, it's just hilarious how slow it was going compared to how loud it was.

vq is just one of those engines that you see both sides of the spectrum. cheap setups sound beyond horrifying, expensive setups sound insanely good, damn near exotic. we got too many broke bois out here🙃

that silver z is mine and its got a LS2 in it now and also rear carbon fiber quarter panel over fenders. its my drift car and the video i sent was the day i got it so it was bone stock.

I used to have an 01 camry and cut the muffler and resonator. Was really satisfying to gas the car lmao. I weirdly like the sounds camrys make that I'd listen to fart cans from these than any honda or 350z

Toyotas Camry and Corolla wise dont sound bad with a muffler delete tbh. Ive seen a lot with muffler deletes surprise me till this day. Not something you expect from a economy 4 cylinder.

I love the way Vq37’s sound, you just gotta add extra resonators, the big mistakes for a bad sounding VQ is a single exit and no resonators.
I think the single exit sounds bette that’s the set up I had on mine
@@Clayton-markisich did you have resonators? I’m convinced the only reason they ever sound like shit is because people cut off the resonators. They don’t make it quieter they make the note “cleaner” if that makes sense

I once was behind an Audi RS4 with that popping exhaust, and I kid you not, when it did the popping thing, it sounded like a wet fart.
I say this in all seriousness, I didn't know a car could sound as bad as some of these.... Before watching this video, I imagined the worst sounding exhaust possible and some of these were way worse...

The 370z didn't sound bad at all, I think it sounded pretty good compared to 95% of them lol.
I am so beyond happy my g37 sounds heavily rather than the classic trumpet sound... And it's stock just muffler deletes and sum dual, long tube intakes.
The black infinity absolutely went right through my head, pierces through my soul.
My 2011 camry 2.5 sounds so different from that 07. It has a nice tone with no drone and it's not rhaspy. Magnaflow hi flow cat header-> 2.25" pipe -> hi flow cat #2 -> vibrant resonator -> single Flowmaster DBX muffler w/ chrome flare tip

At first i was little annoyed at everyone saying 350z sounds like crap. Cause it was the first "fast" car i got (in europe fwd four banger with 1.6 instead of 1.4 is performance) but i must admit, you all were right. The z's are rare here and thus everyone wants me to rev it. Meanwhile iam thinking about selling it because to pass emissions id have to fix a exhaust leak that makes it sound almost bearable.

Drew, that road in the last clip was Storm King Hwy just south of Newburgh NY by West Point Military Academy. Its only open during warm weather months, and is a fantastic drive. Not the best in the area though. About 1 hr north of NYC. Time to bring the Mclaren on a x country road trip!
