And don't use a Bug / Fire to Encounter Shiny Hunt with a Rock type

@@enanan4 nah that makes no fucking sense, why not go for a quickball then in the first turn? Why even bother healing up with HYPER Potions, not even full restore to maybe survive a 4x effective hit. This was just being pure dummy.

It's not really their fault if they didn't even looked at the screen because they didn't expect a shiny or something.But it is your fault if you only have a single Pokemon that can survive an attack from the Pokemon you are hunting. Another reason why she deserved it is that she saw the risk of failing that shiny but still didn't use the best ball she had. It was obvious that she won't catch it with a quickball because after so many turns, it is as effective as a normal ball. AND she knew that she is gonna die if this ball is not gonna catch it.
@@enanan4 Yeah, but in Zacian's case, you can rematch it over and over again. Not if you have a shiny Pokemon in front of you that can literally one shot you. And she knew that this is gonna happen but she still used the ball that has literally a 0% chance to catch it.

Always carry Quick Balls because you never know when you'll find a random shiny
So true. I found a shiny machop when EV training my Pokemon and a shiny chewtle ran into me when I was EV training and left to go grab some water.
The heracross guy went past Quick Balls so he could chuck a heal ball. SMH

I mean, why would you bring Centiskorch: a Fire and Bug Type, when you're hunting Lycanroc, who has stab rock type moves that could absolutely destroy the Centiskorch.
Thanks for featuring our hunt Dan! I’ve learned my lesson not to hatch eggs while hunting a mon over level 60 😂 but hey, every shiny hunter at least has to experience one fail in their life am I right? Lol good to everyone else getting their shiny hunting on!

I'm ~300 shinnies into my living dex and haven't failed a single one yet. I have chosen however to to faint random shinnies and redo hunts. I hunt with synchonize, harvest leppa berry strats, heal pulse, mostly because I only catch in premier balls. But yeah, rando shinnies in playthroughs and stuff I historically would just faint, in the days before bottle caps, mints, and all that.
That’s why I always bring a full team while shiny hunting

This puts me in agony, because I've been hunting for a shiny impidimp and I'm closing in on around 1700 encounters and still nothing. Yet here, these people are squandering their shinies. ;)
I'd suggest you'd use Pokémon GTS on 3DS or Pokémon Home app in phone, in your app phone GTS you can find any Pokémon, they'd put the Pokémon you want for exchange for something.... most the time legendary XD

Imagine streamers being preoccupied by and involved with their stream and chat... 🙄 Are you kidding? It's literally what they do. If you want to have a stream where you just let other people watch while you do your own thing that's fine, but they can stream however they want.
It's crazy how many people commit to shiny hunting without having the fore sight to plan for how they're actual going to catch the thing. I always have a mon with sleep powder, a mon with thunder wave and a mom with false swipe so there's no chance of me messing it up, lol! Love these fails thou!
Rules to hunting.
1. Pay attention when going into encounters, no matter how deep you are
2. Keep your sound on or up so you can hear the sparkles
3. Always double check before you run or kill in case it looks too similar to normal colors
4. GO IN PREPARED!
5. Random encounters use a quick ball or something beneficial to catching pokemon faster.

When it was gen 4 my brother was really looking forward to finding a shiny riolu in his diamond version while I had pearl when he found out about the shiny's colors then one day he goes to the battle tower and ends up battling a npc who had a shiny riolu. No catch chance at all. During gen two some time after seeing ash catch shiny noctowl, weeks or months, I was staying up when I was supposed to be sleeping and I encountered a shiny noctowl that I was looking for but at random, just after the sparkles my batteries died.
I soft reseted over a shiny Rowlet 4 years ago and thinking about it is still infuriating. I just cant let it go

This is why QUICK BALL is your best friend when collecting shinies without even hurting them.

well it was a funny encounter i had been encountering the same lycanroc for 200 encounters
when i found out i was doing it wrong it took me around 5 mins to hit the shiny.

Here is a team that can help when shiny hunting
A wheather changer (that isnt hail or sandstorm)
A damp pokemon if your hunting a pokemon that can learn explosion
And a Weakener (like Gallade)
But never just have one pokemon

I'll never understand why people would spend hours and hours shiny hunting but wouldn't spend 10 minutes getting ready. Just the sheer number of people that don't even use a synchronizer is mind boggling

I have never hunted a shiny Pokémon with one Pokémon in my party. Especially with a 4 times resistance, especially knowing I’ll take damage from priority moves. I always come over prepared.. hatching eggs is also an easy alternative
I failed a Kirlia in Gen 6 because i didn’t realize it had teleport at the level it was. Good thing I got another shortly after.
Now I'm not saying the last one was entirely unprepared...
But she was hunting a pokemon using only one pokemon in her party... which was 4x weak to rock (the type she was DELIBERATELY hunting)... and uses a Quick Ball after several turns have passed. I would have been more shocked if she managed to catch it

The worst fail I have ever had in my whole life was when my game froze when I got a shiny cyndaquil from soft resetting HG/SS I was absolutely devastated.
that lycanroc one was like 40 levels lower, a nest ball would have been the best option, doesn't matter if you like the look of it or not, use what you know is supposed to work

I lost out on a full odds shiny trecko yesterday on go just as soon as I got on go yesterday
I use a Venasaur with False Swipe, Sunny Day, Sleep Powder and Sweet Scent as my Shiny Hunt Pokemon. He does pretty well. No sandstorm kills etc.

I don't have it recorded, but I have a Shiny fail of my own for you. I joined a Max Raid against a Charmander that wound up being Shiny, and then one of my teammates got the brilliant idea to use Earthquake when the rest of us were all weak to Ground and they killed the 3 of us and then got one-shot by the Charmander, stopping us from even being able to throw a ball at it. I was more than a little pissed about that one.
Saw shiny pidgy in the route u catch eevee’s in. It flew away just before I reached it..

A midnight lycanroc chased me around and I was trying to find diglets, he caught up and turned out to be shiny! Lol didnt even hunt for it, caught it in a quick ball. Im trying to breed alolan vulpix and its a pain to get a shiny one. The coloring is so close too

I remember when I was 3 or 2 playing heart gold I manage to get all jhoto starters to be shiny but because I was so young It didn’t affect me
For shiny hunting, always have a pokemon with heal pulse. Always. I learned that when I failed a wormhole audino. I had a lot and it was wormhole so I wasn't that upset but I realized that you should be prepared for anything
