I’ve had this little gem for several years. I just recently put it to use and I love it! I have found that a dab of fabric glue holds the edges together better than a pin. Its one of my favorite creative grid tools now! Thank you Creative Grids USA!
This is such a great tutorial! I haven’t been so lucky with finding a step by step tutorial for the curvy log cabin trim tool though. As a beginner those step by step tutorials are the difference between making a beautiful successful block or wasting time and Money, being frustrated and upset because you just can’t get a a good block no matter how hard you try.
I bought the tool & it is Soooo worth it. Just used it at a 2 day retreat & it made piecing & finishing my binding 1000% easier & more accurate. Also had mismeasured a couple of border strips, so needed to do some quick piecing & this tool made that a breeze.
The formula is 1\4 in less then width of your binding for the over lap and you won't have any excess. In otherword if your binding is 2.5 then your overlap should be 2.25 and not 2.5.
@@hoosierpreppingnurse oh it definitely gets easier than that I’ll never do this method of binding again since I came across an easier method that doesn’t involve twisting pinning and all that nonsense

Thank you for that tip about the measurement t tip for the overlap for the join. That's the part I've always struggled with in applying my binding.
Gwyn Wellliver me too!
I have this ruler. Love it so much. Great help with piecing strips together and making half square triangles.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and talents with us!
Use mine all the time. One of my favorite rulers
Ok I'm convinced! Thanks Krista. I always enjoy your tutorials.
Yikes! Now I have to buy another tool! Much more accurate in doing both borders and bindings! And you make it sound and look easy! Thanks.
Actually, I decided to look through my rulers/templates, and I have it!
Is there a pattern available for the quilt behind you?
I love this ruler. And I can’t wait to try this new use for it.
i love the blue quilt behind you
I love this way of doing the joining, much easier than how I do it and I will do it that way from now one.
I got it for. Your recommendation and it has helped send much.
Great video! Does anyone know what the fabric line is for the floral fabric she's demonstrating the binding with?
Loving this tool!
Can I use the folded corner clipper for flange binding? Thank you
Thank you so much for the tutorial. However, when I put the two strips together, my edges are not nice and even????? What Am I doing wrong???? Help
What is the pattern name of the quilt behind you ... it is Gorgeous
I always sew my binding strips the wrong way & have to rip & resew. This tool would make that impossible to do! Definitely putting on my 'wishlist'!

Love that interesting quilt behind you. Can you post the pattern? I just got this tool and now I two ways to use it. Thanks
Hi Beverly, Krista does not actually have a pattern for the quilt behind her. It is something she said she just made up as she went along. Sorry!

OMGoodnes, great tip! Makes so much sense. Thanks!
Awesome! Thank you!!!
Almost nobody uses that method for matching up the end of the binding. There are better ways now.
One cut, one seam. It doesn’t get any easier.

Great idea. Will have to get that.
Thank you
