- Back on Wed, Jun 11, 2008 at 11:16 PM, I wrote to Heather to tell her that I'd bought a small Panasonic digital recorder. A file from the backyard I sent to Singapore back then returned just recently. That started a mission to extract more files from the recorder including clips of a four-year-old A2 singing in the kitchen as I clattered around in the background. Audio quality it's not... but pure gold all the same.
I told A2 we were recording "You Are My Sunshine" for Mommy while she was away - hence the ad libbed "Don't take away the Daughter." (Not my idea.) Oddly, I didn't think she did a good enough job and never sent any song files - that I recall. Obviously a mistake. The photos cover a period from March 2007 to May 2008 and include more than one of my many beautiful Grandkids. We never learn what's important until it's, almost, too late. The artist who sang the song, "You are My Sunshine" in this version was Elizabeth Mitchell.
