The fact is that Saikawa: CEO of Nissan had asked the prosecution for a plea-bargain to eject Ghosn, in stead of firing him in company meeting, in order to avoid Renault's buyout ordered by French government to Ghosn.
Because Saikawa simply does not have nuts to raise his voice and fix this issue by himself.
That's why Prime Minister Abe officially mentioned "I would like them to fix this issue within a company".
Because he does not like to have diplomatic problem with Lebanon and also does not like to reveal Japanese 'media and governmental agency connection' to the world.
In the Ghosn's press conference, only TV-Tokyo was invited to the conference room as Japanese TV station and only TV-Tokyo has broadcasted FOLLOWING critical points mentioned by Ghosn without trimming them.
Because TV-Tokyo does not join the "Japan National Press Club": biasing vested interest media cartel in Japan, which is the axis of evil in Japan.
Ghosn has mentioned important points of that...
    1. Japanese justice system is unfair and outdated: He was in jail for 130 days without right of rebuttal, and he had not been allowed any communication with his wife for 9 months.
The prosecution had abused an exceptional clause in "Code of Criminal Procedure article 60 paragraph 2" to extend his detention from 10 days to 130 days.
Moreover, soon after he had been released, he was re-captured by the prosecution when he tried to open the press conference in order to speak up the truth.
The prosecution might have silenced his critics by sending him to prison again.
In addition, the prosecution had leaked/sold the unofficial information to media against a duty of confidentiality required by "National Public Service Act article 100".
This corruption is frequently happened and intentionally ignored by the "media cartel" described above in Japan.
    2. Japanese media is rotten: they had used and reported the unofficial confidential information leaked from the prosecution and Nissan without further analysis with the rebutment and contrary evidence.
Moreover, they have reported Ghosn to general public as if he is criminal and terrorist.
    3. Saikawa: CEO of Nissan had asked the prosecution for a plea-bargain to eject Ghosn, in stead of firing him in company meeting, in order to avoid Renault's buyout ordered by French government to Ghosn.
Everybody are rotten in some points and have good aspect and bad aspect.
Problem is that Japanese media and prosecution are manipulating the standard and public opinion with their massive power.

This man saved one of the biggest companies in Japan and, in the process, 'hurt' some Japanese 'face'.
He deserves everything from that company and more, in my opinion.
That was as close as a national treasure as Toyota is in that country.
After he was successful in the turn around to profitability, he wanted to expand that company's future.
That is what led the Japanese to plot against him. Not to mention their 'hurt face' when he turned the company around.
This is a great man being subjected to great injustice and disservice by the company and people he saved.

Japan's Auto industry is going to suffer severe economical loss because of this man's arrest and detainment. He's in Exile and Nissan and the Japanese Auto industry has lost a business genius and Tycoon and it's all Japan's doing. Japanese fault and it was really a matter of honor to them because they didn't want a merger with a French company because of the Japanese honor in their name and not that he broke any laws.
This would be a great movie and even much better than the movie about the CEO of Facebook by far!

As an American, I strongly support Japan and its people as an Ally! I however, do not support their Justice system of being guilty until proven innocent! That is the opposite of our system in theory. If Mr.Ghosn were in the U.S. he would have gotten off free of charges or maybe, with a slap on the wrist and a fine. That's how it works for the rich and influential class of people! If your working class or poor here, you just sit in jail if you can't afford Bond money to get out on Bail. Guilty until proven innocent! If you get any kind of traffic citation or charge, you are guilty until proven innocent not by a jury of your peers , but by one person, the Judge! In the U.S. if a female get's mad at you, or want's to get revenge on any male, all she has to do is call the Law Enforcement and say she was assaulted by you even if you weren't there at the time and, you will be aressted! No if's, and's, or but's! The way the Law is set up you will be arrested! I have never been in trouble with the law or arrested. I questioned my wife about this very issue, and she reluctantly agreed with me after a long, long, long, disagreement and discussion! Thank you, Mr. Ghosn for saving Nissan from going out of business and making it a very competative Company in the Auto Industry! Thanks for the Nissan GTR. Thanks for my wife's Infiniti G, built by Skyline in Japan! That car has been absolutely the best and most reliable vehicle we have ever had! Period! I've been driving for 38 years. The next most reliable vehicle was my 1981 Toyota 4wd Long Bed pickup. The first year of the 22R engine. I'm glad your in a semi safe place now. Please, be vigilant and hire 24hr security while your in Lebanon! Prayers going up for your safety and a fair Trial! GOOD LUCK!! PEACE! \./

Japan were humiliated 2 times by Ghosn. 1st time was when a non-japaneses executive saved Nissan from bankrupcy. They have never shallow that. The "businessmen" from Japan hatted his style. The japanese people love him.
The 2nd public humiliation was now. He left the authorities looking like clowns. Whats a idiots.
By the way, I support Ghosn until Japaneses justice shows what were the crimes.

Sorry Man, but you are an idiot justice system in russia, India, Singapore are pretty much better than American bail bond justice system. And yeah being an Indian I know that there is a lot of nationalism, casteism, hinduism and many other isms in India but when point comes to justice system it is pretty much good. You can get a bail for even serious crimes in upto 500-1000Rs( 50-60$) and there is no jury so a good lawyer cannot convince judge easily thats the reason 99.9% cases go to trial but conviction rate is still less . And it is much better than some of developed world.

Japan's economy generally has 4 big powerhouses, Sumitomo Group, Mitshubishi Group, 3 & 4. They do not interfere with each other territories. Obviously, your contract is not stated, but your colleague should have warned you over hopping over will cost a lot of problems, this has been like that for many, many years. The best is opp-out of either group.

I remember watching a youtube video about how the Japanese court convictions are nearly 100%, which completely doesn't make sense. Their defence was that they don't pursue actions until they are 100% certain of their case. They say they'd rather let criminals go, than wrongfully convict someone. That makes no sense. You'd rather have murderers and rapists run freely than bring a case to a court if you aren't 100% sure you will get a conviction?

Donna Lee it depends who’s the suspect, for exemple issei sagawa “ the Japanese cannibal “ , a Japanese student in France who ate a Dutch female in 1981.. after examination of his mental health in an hospital they found he was only a pervert so he remained free en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Issei_Sagawa
