    This is the best video on the Hammond keyboard I have seen. I have an SK1 and there are demos on line that extract wonderful tones out of the SK1 , but none show how to dial them in. The user manual is intimidating. Your demo takes out the mystery and has some really useful pointers. Thanks you so much.

    Thanks for taking the time to make this tutorial. I wasn't considering buying an SKX until I watched your video. I can see more possibilities now after watching you cover all the important features. I live in Memphis, TN so I can't visit your store but again thanks for making the video.

    Excellent video and presentation Tony, I got my SKX at the end of February after getting a good price for my SK2, I have to say I'm delighted with it, (worth it for the extra drawbars) I think I might have been one of the first to get one in the UK. The dealer I bought mine from (NW England) hasn't done anything to promote it at all, so full credit to you and Bonners for taking the time to produce this video.
    Anyone thinking of buying one I would say go for it, you wont regret it, also if your a home player like me, the Roland BK-7m (which I DID buy from Bonners) makes the perfect partner for the SKX 👍

    Tony, I've always appreciated your ability to demonstrate, but more importantly, TEACH about the musical instruments you sell. Wish I was in the Southern U.K. because I would sure like to meet you one day, but it's one helluva commute from the Pacific Northwest of the U.S. to the U.K. Still, I listen, I watch, and I learn, and one of these days I'm going to upgrade my Korg PA800 to a PA4X, or the follow on, and I so want a Hammond Organ to learn on. I'd be so happy with an XK-3C Legacy model, but Hammond doesn't make them anymore.
    Would love to see you do a demo like this of the XK-5 and something like the Korg KX-55 or the Roland BK-7m

    What I hate about Guitar Center, is they are listed as a Hammond dealer on the Hammond website, but when I go to any Guitar Center, they do not have one Hammond/Leslie on their showroom floors. What I like about the new Hammond Sk series, they now have pedal sustain and ProChord.

    Does the SK 25 pedalboard fit under that SKx stand?! I have a SK 25 on backorder, and read it won't fit with the Hammond SKx stand?
    edit, it does, sorta! The SK 25 is max width of 42.75", the SK stand is 38" wide, so you have to have the pedals protrude out front. I found another stand that will work in the same way, but it's a little wider at 46.4" so it won't protrude as much. Hammond needs a better solution for those of us who want full pedals with our SK's

    Hi. Thank you for an interesting guide. Very easy to follow. However, I still have my Hammond SK1, and I am trying to do what you demonstrate from minute 16, namely combine grand piano with string and organ. This means layer two sounds from the extra voice section and combine them with organ. I can't figure out how to do that on my SK1. Maybe it isn't possible? Which means one can only select one sound from extra voice and combine it with organ? Might you or anybody help? Thanks, sincerely greetings from Stein.

    • @bonnersmusic
      @bonnersmusic  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not possible to layer to voices on the SK1. That is a unique feature of the SKX.

    A number of places online say that the SKX has 10 banks as
    to this video that says 8 banks. Was there a change to the
    number of banks?

    • @danielmiddleman8613
      @danielmiddleman8613 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok, after watching more of the video I guess they are
      adding the 2 banks of extra voices that you mention
      to the 8 banks.

    The acoustic pianos sound really good. As with the other SKs, I'm not impressed with the electric pianos, and though this was tempting, I went with the GSI Gemini/DMC combo because the B3 is just as good and the Rhodes/clav/Wurli are better.

    • @kainejoyes2981

      @@kainejoyes2981 Hmmm, interesting! I really need to try this out in the story. The GSI/Crumar clav is what really sold me. It's the most soulful, even, funky clav I've heard on any keyboard.
