Hello Anton Thanks for your very informative reviews. I’m looking for an improvement to my shure sm58 as a stage-microphone. I’ve tried the Electro Voice nd257, I like it, but it is old, and I wonder how the new Electrovoices ND86 & especially the ND96 are doing. I would love to hear you review the Electrovoices.
@@AntonBrowne Thanks, I will look forward to that. In the meantime I've bought the nd96, but can still return it. Right now I have the chance to compare the mic with a beta 58, sm 58, audix 3, and the old ev257. I prefer the nd96, though maybe a little harsh on s-sounds, and the beta 58, both are very distinct in the low end, and I like that, but I still compare and compare. The nd96 is ahead.
Hello Mr Anton, thank you very much for already making this video clarifying my doubt. I am very grateful to you! My AKG does not make that noise, try to put the question on the mark. When comparing Akg to Neumann it seemed to me that Akg had more Mascara than Neumann, but I liked Akg's deep bass more. When compared to EarthWorks everything was clear. However I think that for your videos and reviews I prefer the SR40V even more. What is your favorite EarthWorks for the stage? Sorry for my weak English. Regards from Portugal
I'm having a Portuguese time! I working on two original songs and using internet drummers and trumpet online - all three happen to be Portuguese! SR40V, no mascara and powerful clean bass but careful not to get too close clumsily! SV33 is the master in the studio IMHO.
Thanks again! What a great coincidence ... when visiting Portugal be sure to contact me I will be happy to show you my Oporto city. Anton should ask EarthWorks for a commission because he knew the brand through you and as soon as possible it will be my next purchase. 👌🏼Just now, I found an excerpt of you singing several songs and I really enjoyed ... very good! Congratulations
If you can run to it, Earthworks SR314 - you may need a pop filter depending on technique/style. A second hand silver grille Beyer M88 is a good dynamic mic with a bit of a learning curve. Shure KSM8 is a nice dynamic but pricey. Best try some out, if you possibly can.

Can you say to me what is the best for me?
My voice is powerfull

@@AntonBrowne thanks Anton you're great 😊
Hi anton, what mic are u using on the boom?
Sorry, I should have mentioned, it's an Earthworks ICON Pro.
Baritone and Mezzo? Go with SM57 with some big foam on top as the president uses.
The earthworks blows them both away...
comparison video link?
akg is hiss noise.
Seems so... I don't know if mine is faulty?
@@AntonBrowne I don't think so, the same microphone and c7 microphone are also noisy in other reviews.
