    I used Storm in a Cyclops squad recently. It was Gamma and I also took X-23, Shuri and MrSinister. Storm was amazing, she sat on the back point with her super stealth chucking boosted up lightning bolts and throwing away anyone that came close.

    Fave Scot splash? Black Bolt. In every game (14 so far) I've played with him under Cyclops, he's never used more than 2 actions on Advance moves. Field Leader moves him around, the rest of the time he's just teleporting with Master Punch. Has a size 4 character throw, has better bodyguard, and his builder and Master Punch both have enough dice to be reliable damage (R4 D6 builder with Pierce + innate Reroll, R3 D7 with innate reroll)... My goto 17 is Cyclops/Cable/Black Bolt/Domino simply because of the sheer presence they have on the board.
    Also I think while Honey Badger isn't great under Scott's leadership, she's great under Scott. Her whole problem is that setting up her pseudo-incinerate is so ridiculously telegraphed. Field Leader handily solves that issue.

    I haven't tried Cable in X-Men yet, but in X-Force he has been a rock star. I've played four casual games and four games at a tournament with Cable since the changes and he has been great every single game. I play him as a range 3 character that has a range 5 option. His leadership, while not applicable for this tier list, can unlock skulls that you can then reroll with his Plasma Rifle which makes it much more likely that you hit the wild trigger to apply incinerate, and his damage output is somewhere between solidly dependable and outrageous which then generates him the power he needs to throw more things, body slide, and throw up more shields.
    I haven't tried to splash him in any other affiliation yet, but he's easily an A-tier for me. Yall need to play a few games with Cable and then have another discussion. Bring Colossus or Honeybadger and Sacrifice so you can pull attacks off of him as he can be fragile, but every opponent has been really impressed by the new Cable.

    Big fan of Ulik as a splash character under Scott's Leadership. His superpowers get turned on round one giving you the option to double attack from the start. Also offers a size 4 omni-directional displacement and a terrain throw, which aren't common in the x-men affiliation.

    My friend has switched over to X Men from Brotherhood because of new Cyclops, and he’s had pretty ok results. We’re 2-2 since he switched to them, and both times he won, it was Cyclops’ Optic Devastation late game that won it for him. He wiped multiple characters with it both times and I just couldn’t come back after that. Our game last night though, I ran SS Strange, Wanda, Voodoo, and Ancient One, and practically tabled him.

    I do wish Colossus' terrain throw was made into a 4 for theme reasons. And Hot Take: making it a character/terrain throw would allow him to pivot between protector and offense in a balanced way since his power limitations would make him have to choose between defense and offense, and defending with Big Brother versus defending by throwing models away.

    I'm happy to see these improvements. The fact that they were lame is why I never played this game. When they first came out, I bought all the X-Men/Brotherhood available and the core game. But before I could finish building the miniatures, all the reviews came in...
    The poor X-Men reviews totally killed my momentum, and I never finished assembling them. I have $300+ of miniatures and terrain just sitting on a shelf. Maybe I'll actually play this game now.

    you guys seem really low on rogue
    shes really good, especially when she gets power round 1. not for the charge as thats a trap round 1. you are much better off double moving and doing absorbtion because on someone with no power because they picked up an extract,its just raw damage for which they dont get power. on average 2.5 damage is really good. same odds as an attack but just better

      I think we both agreed she is a good character. But when we do these lists we are comparing her to the other 4 threats in affiliation. For us (and always it is only ever our opinion), there are 4/5 4 threats who just do a better job than her. Doesn’t mean she’s bad, just means others do it slightly better.

    Great breakdown. I do think Jean's whole kit being online without help makes her a good splash character. Being able to go last with her and just push someone off a point is not to be under valued.
    As to splash characters currently I think Shuri is great for Scott's X-Men. Being able to hit models from range five gain a power and to hand out power is super good. Then giving rerolls to the rest of the team and then giving her more power for more rerolls is amazing. I think more costly but could be really strong as well is CGR pretty much guaranteeing power being handed out twice from the get go and you can funnel to him to keep him in crazy mode. Lastly I think the new captain marvel is going to love this leadership as you can ramp her up quickly and keep her in binary form pretty much indefinitely if you want.
    Overall his leadership is pretty crazy and I don't look forward to playing against it 😂

    I've been running her in inhumans with healing and she has won me games by jumping in the way of a big activation and tanking one attack with c healing and the second one normally kills her but at that point ,shes essentially wasted their activation

    @jessmontgomery3454 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Love the tier list, I'm not that one guy. Happy as heck with the all new all fabulous x-men.
    One thing to add for beast is if you can give him any extra atrack to almost replace his builder from another tactics card or from an objective tocken. Then, avoiding the proc is an option for a small power loss.
    As for a splash... 😢 oh, i hate choices. Any rapid fire would be good for power generation, but that's boring.
    1. miles(unlock webswing turn 1)
    2. sam(cheapest threat shield for more power gen, charge turn 1 and long move)
    3. valkyrie(charge turn 1 and extra atrack off spender).
    4. blackswan(doesn't need a power gem with Scott, can turn a lot on turn 1 plus her spender will generate extra power but is a 4 threat so probably more tricky choice, but if you took the gem should could have 4+ power turn 1).
    5. Ghostspider/Spiderwoman/Amazing Spider-man(honourable mentions as with not honestly seeing more than 1spot or maybe 2 at a push splash in an x-men list, it's hard to take them over the above but maybe).
    Choising just one is tough... but i think Sam only because Swan being a 4/5 threat is a harder sell in the x-men's very good 4 threat stable.

    • @nklinef
      @nklinef ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I feel the hidden meta for Scott's leadership is to splash Bullseye. With guaranteed damage and an automatic rapid fire spender at range 4 and 2 threat. He will be reliably handing out power like its nobody's business and with minimal investment. I feel like once people figure out this combo he'll basically be an auto-include in X-men Blue lists.

    Awesome video!
    Rich, I’m not going to try to change your mind on Jean but I think you should try playing her and maybe you can change your own mind.
    She can turn 1 throw size 4 terrain and gets enough power in the power phase to throw terrain every turn, I know it doesn’t help Cyclops leadership.
    I know TTCs are competitive but mental domination is a non action attack on Jeans turn that can trigger Cyclops leadership.
    Also the card Jean is pretty good now that Cyclops and Wolverine are good. Especially cyclops, since he can either get two builders off which triggers his leadership or he can beam triggering his leadership.
    When I first read the changes I thought she was garbage also but I’ve seen some pretty good play from her from other players.

    • @RichMidGaming
      @RichMidGaming  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s all around the timing of her ability to use Fails as crits.
      Is she is attacking, after she rolls attack dice, but before her opponent has rolled defence dice, she has to pay the power for failures - meaning she doesn’t see her opponents defence result first.
      When defending, you get to see the attackers dice before making the decision.

    X-Men are where they should be now, but I do worry about a future nerf. As much as I love these updates, they usually come with the other side. I love Scott's acension and a correction for Storm (with a likely higher threat Storm coming one day) and most of all Wolverine and Colossus being fully playable. Together they can add 2 dice to every attack against 1 target through expert tracker and interdimensional bloodhoud(which would be great for any rapid fire characters like Scott and Domino, but also Cable likes the extra dice with his range 5 incinerate) but another the combination they can pull off is with Scott's Field Leader, LockJaw's teleport, and Kraven's after attack movement means he could make a short moves, a 3 place, then still be attacking twice, and getting 3 extra dice on the second attack on top of the two dice from tracker abilities, for a 7 dice, then a 9 dice attack with a free hit and run S and M move after each. In total giving him 2 short moves, a 3 place, and a medium move all while still attacking with 16 dice; and with the extra power from Cyclops' leadership, this combo could easily be pulled off turn 1.
