@@thesevenpens Yes! It's for an engineering project at university, I'm making an ergonomic pen with an embedded auxetic lattice grip. My presentation is tomorrow and I was preparing for questions they might ask me - including 'is this compatible with tablets on the market' - hence why I found myself watching your video. Thank you again :)
I have a small, seven year old Huion graphic tablet (not a display) can´t recall the model atm, and recently bought a Gaomon pd220... was about to order a spare pen for it, and just out of curiosity tested the Huion pen. It worked flawlessly. Just saved 20 bucks! @@thesevenpens
Was convinced into buying a pen when the employee told me there was no actual way to replace the nibs. So i spent $90 dollars on a pen he assured me was compatible and now i find out not only is it not compatible but also stupid, thank god refunds and amazon exist so i can buy the pen nibs
i have one by wacom medium and bought the wacom one pen- im crying right now. i bought a pen i can't use. this probably means i have to buy a new tablet
Sorry for the late reply. The compatibility list is here: docs.thesevenpens.com/drawtab/product-info/wacom/wacom-pens The pen the PTH-650 tablet came with by default is Wacom Grip Pen (KP-501E)
Hi I need a pen replacement for my wacom intuos 5 urgent, but I dont know wixh pen would be compatible with it? And for the price of a pen there ia smal intuos wacom that comea with a pen so I was wondering If I buy that tablet would the wacom pen in it be also compatible with my ild tablet so I can use both?
It should be compatible if it is an Intuos 5 small. But just to verify, double check look at the model numbers here: docs.thesevenpens.com/drawtab/product-info/wacom/wacom-pen-models in the section on compatibility.
@@thesevenpens the pen I need is between $50 and $77 in Amazon are two like look the same but the company is different so not sure which one to buy I think I'm gonna have to go with a small tablet on sale until I can afford the pen replacement for my intuos 5 🥹
I love this video for one reason. Its trying to save people (especially beginners) time and money. Its very easy to browse ebay and see intuos and think everythibg that says intuos works together. Bravo.
Thank you so much for quick response! I would highly appreciate If you could recommend any good pen that has precision and unlike Samsung's rubbery S pen for Samsung S9 Ultra. Right now I can see only option is Wacom One Pen CP91300B2Z . I must say your content is very unique compared to other TH-cam channels!@@thesevenpens
Certainly, some people prefer that CP-913 pen to the Samsung S pen. I think the way it handles pressure is more like one would expect - at least relative to Wacom and other drawing tablets. For some reason though, I really like that soft rubbery feel of the S pen at least when drawing on a display. I'm not entirely sure why :-)
It is just the matter of the kind of artwork one is doing. I would say, for quick and fast concept sketching the plastic hard nibs are required. And rubbery nibs are good for doing line-art work like inking. I have been using S-pen for a while and I found it to be restrictive for doing quick rough sketches, gesture drawing etc. This is very apparent while using tilt function. @@thesevenpens
You don't need to connect them. When you bring the pen to the tablet it just starts working. More here: docs.thesevenpens.com/drawtab/faq/pens/how-do-i-connect-my-pen-to-my-drawing-tablet
Heya, just as a well meant feedback: people searching this video have a reason to do so. you dont need to give example reasons as to why people clicked the video, if they already did. You could directly cut out the first minute and thirty and the video would be much better. The rest was good, thanks!
Thanks for the hornets feedback. I certainly still learning how to improve at making these videos and this kind of feedback really helps. I know I have a tendency to over-explain sometimes. :-)
what an oddly specific but extremely comprehensive video. Thanks for making it
Old school pens with AAA batteries were fully compatible across brands, for example a huion pen from 2013 would work on a Genius tablet from 2008
Oh interesting. I never used non Wacom tablets until about 2020 so I wasn't sure what it was like before for other brands.
Thanks so much, I'm building my own pen now so this was very useful
Building your own pen??? I'd love to learn more!

If anyone was wondering, I just checked and Huion pens can be used with Gaomon devices 😊
Which pen did you try and with which tablet? I’m really curious which combinations work
