Army Coach Monken does this cheer or poem after games. After a recent death in my family, when I have a tough moment, I say this to myself, substituting Bleed some more, with grieve or cry some more.
if my team chaplain ever sounded like that, man, id play like never before, we gon fight, till we cant fight no mor, gonna lie down, bleed a while, gonna get up, fight some mor!!! inspirational!!!!
WE GONNA FIGHT! TILL WE CAN'T FIGHT NO MORE! TILL WE CAN'T FIGHT NO MORE! WE GONNA LYE DOWN AD BLEED AWHILE! WE GONNA GET UP! AND FIGHT SOME MORE!!!!! best phrase ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GONNA FIGHT!!!! TILL YOU CAN'T FIGHT NO MORE!!!!!! TILL YOU CAN'T FIGHT NO MORE YOU'RE GONNA LIE DOWN AND BLEED AWHILE!!! YOU GONNA GET UP AND FIGHT SOME MORE!!!!!!
So pompous ?Would you rather him speak meekly when he is preparing a team that is about to engage in a physical 3 hour fight. In America we play real sports. We don't kick soccer balls around and fake injuries on the field. It's not being pompous,it's instilling confidence, and motivation at the same time. It's making everyone in that room have the same mindset going onto the field.Knowing that the guy next to you is willing to give as much as you are, is an inspiring feeling. Not pompous, confident.
@matgylper A member of the clergy employed to give religious guidance to members of the armed forces, schoolchildren, prisoners or specific groups of people (like a football team!!)!!!
but the way i see it, pride is bad in all forms. and if i was to explain what i mean, im sure youll most likely disagree with my explaination, because everyone has so far.
It was all good until he led that prayer at the end. A clear violation of the separation of church and state since GA Tech is a state funded school. He can't force his religion on players.
Jay Sills It does affect me if I'm a tax paying citizen of the state of Georgia whose taxes goes to support the university. A state supported university should not be endorsing any religion on school grounds.
Jay Sills You're missing the point. This chaplain is endorsing his religion in a state run school supported by taxpayers...not private funds. That's a no-no. It doesn't make a difference if there was force or not. I would have the same issue if it was a Muslim or Hindu prayer...and you probably would too.

It was all good until he led that prayer at the end. A clear violation of the separation of church and state since GA Tech is a state funded school. He can't force his religion on players.
It didn't affect you. What do you care.
Jay Sills It does affect me if I'm a tax paying citizen of the state of Georgia whose taxes goes to support the university. A state supported university should not be endorsing any religion on school grounds.
Nobody forced them to say anything. They did it of their own free will
Jay Sills You're missing the point. This chaplain is endorsing his religion in a state run school supported by taxpayers...not private funds. That's a no-no. It doesn't make a difference if there was force or not. I would have the same issue if it was a Muslim or Hindu prayer...and you probably would too.
If it's a no-no, we'll continue to peacefully disobey
