I've used many kicker subs throughout the yrs from the gold series old school ones many different cvrs, cvx , and L7 mainly the 07 models haven't really tried any of the newest lite up and they've been good to me ive never blown any of the subs ive only kickers have always been good to me

If you get fiberglass in your skin the best way to get it off is when taking shower start with coldest temp you can take to keep you pores closed and get loose fibers off then go to hot water opens pores to get fibers out

2018 jeep grand cherokee...I have two L7 Q class 12s in a custom box with a keef port..on the CXA 1800.(sounds frickn amazing) .. i ran a PAC AP4 CH41 Line out converter... would the keylock work better for my lil set up???

I have a question for the kicker experts here. I have 2 12” kicker comp q’s and now I need an amp to power these baddies. Do you have a recommended kicker amp to power these. I’m looking for a mono amp strictly for lows.

Jacob Lackey, the 2007 sport trac is very limited in space. You need to decide how much space you can give up. Do you want to remove the rear seats, put a box under the seats or behind the seats?
How you answer that will determine the size of the enclosure and then that will tell us what type of sub you need to fit it.
As far as what amp you need, that's just going to depend on your budget. I'd recommend going double or triple the rated power that you need. Because once you factor in impedance rise you're going to get less power then you realize.
If you're not trying to be super loud and just want something nice and musical then a few hundred watts should be more than enough. You'd probably be looking at one of the cxa series amps.

What do you think about the comp R in the down firing box ?🤔
Using a Comp R is completely doable. A couple of notes that will be true for any sub we make...
1) Make sure you have at least 1" of clearance between the floor and the sub
2) Power the sub with RMS power, not peak. Ideally we recommend being within 20% of RMS (above or below).
3) Airspace is key. Look on our product pages to get Min/Max recommended enclosure sizes. Using a box size right in the middle of those numbers will deliver the best overall response, but you may want to change it if you want an especially deep response, or a tighter, punchy response. Are compasitor any good to maintain from dropping

I want to put either 10 12” or 14 8” in a 85 Buick regal trunk and need to know which one would be the best
Can you take the measurements of the trunk? There are two main factors: available air space and how much power you have. Knowing the airspace is the first logical part, since there are definitely situations where stuffing too many subs in the box is definitely a bad thing.

My comp q 15 blew in less than 3 years. It is very upsetting that your warranty policy won’t cover it since I didn’t buy from an authorized dealer.
Our Q Class subs are some of the very few out there that do carry a three warranty when buying from an authorized dealer, but yes, we do need it to be purchased through authorized channels.

Subwoofers don't just blow... In 3 years is pretty good value. Drop an evl in its place and don't touch your settings.... I bet it blows in less than 6 months
@@Hz_Locker it blew in less than 3 years with only 500 watts rms. Yes, subwoofers do blow. I also didn’t used it daily for those 3 years so it was more like it blew in 1.5 years.
