      My NNAS app (AB and ON) is still ongoing, failed ielts (writting) 2x now. And waiting for other docs to complete the ontario application.
      I am now planning to take my nclex before the new gen kicks in.
      But i am undecided to register since it says online that att will expire in 3mos time. Yours lasted 6 mos, does is still apply now? Thanks

      @@ghielm-brusas2041 you have ATT (I assume you have na) Start reviewing then book your exam day once you are ready (as I am not sure if the extended version of ATT is still applicable). Forget about AB. Proceed with ON. I had an AB Application too and it was a waste of money.

    Hi Paul! Tysm for this helpful vid! I’m from the Philippines & scheduled to take the NCLEX-RN under NYSED, too. Since I’ve considered taking the student path, I’ve had my education evaluated by WES. The result was it’s equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in California (though my plans have changed and now thinking of going to Ontario instead). Wala kasi akong nursing experience after graduating in 2019.
    Can I just ask bakit dalawa yung inapply mo, 🇨🇦 RN and RPN? Like hindi ba pwede derecho RN na yung endorsement from NYSED to 🇨🇦 if US NCLEX-RN passer ka na, or may difference ba sila?
    Also, do you think it’s also possible to apply for Express Entry kahit walang nursing experience as an RN here in PH but say for example, US NCLEX-RN passer na? Sorry, ang haba but I hope you can help me understand. Thank you and congrats on your journey! 💕

    • @PaulRN
      @PaulRN  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I applied for RPN para if I ever fail NCLEX or hindi agad pumasa, at least meron akong fall back.
      You can directly apply for RN. Applying for RPN is not a pre-requisite.
      Express Entry, you need work exp. Score system ang EE. The more work exp you have, the more points you get.
      You need to work as RN muna for your safe practice. If may license ka sa Ph, work as RN dyan.

Or would you recommend waiting the NYSED results and take the NCLEX- US first before starting NNAS? Should I register for LPN or RPN? RN is given. Im little bit confused with RPN and LPN. It depends:

      2. NNAS: RN = Not Comparable, Passed NCLEX BEFORE April 1, 2013 = You need to take IENCAP.

      Hey! You can proceed with NNAS without IELTS. However, only Ontario (CNO), British Columbia (BCCNM), and New Brunswick (NANB) are the only regulatory bodies to waive the language requirement during NNAS then you will have to fulfill the requirements post NNAS.
      On the other hand, the remaining provinces will not let you waive the language requirement during NNAS phase. No IELTS/CELBAN = No Advisory Report.

      Hello Glenda! I appreciate the kind words. 😄 You can collect muna yung mga required documents before registering with NNAS. I suggest you download the NNAS handbook here:
      www.nnas.ca/applicant-handbook/
      Or, pwede ka rin naman mag register na with NNAS while collecting the requirements. However, you need to understand na 1 year lang ang validity ng NNAS at dapat ma-submit mo lahat ng requirements bago mag expire.
      When I had my NNAS, my AR or Advisory Report wad issued after 16 weeks.

      Thanks! Long process pero sobrang worth it. If Canadian RN (with NCLEX RN) ka, you CAN work in the US too. You can experience the best of both worlds.
      Note: there are Canadian RNs who made it without NCLEX RN. These RNs cannot work in the US yet as they need to pass NCLEX RN first.
      Meron din mga Canadian RNs like me who passed NCLEX RN which makes me eligible to work in the US and Canada.

    1. Why did you apply for nclex in new york? Can you not get the att from ontario?(coz i think its cheaper with Ontario, im not sure)

    • @PaulRN
      @PaulRN  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Late reply. Ngayon ko lang na-notice questions mo.
      Let me answer.
      1. I can’t get an ATT from ON kasi Not Comparable ang NNAS ko for RN assessment. That means, I need to do bridging if gusto ko mabigyan ng ATT from CNO/Ontario.
      NCLEX-RN application in NY BON is less than 15k pesos only DIY (at least during nun time ko last year 2021)
      2. Yup. My license is valid in Ontario ONLY. I moved to Ontario and now working as RN. If gusto ko mag work as RN in Alberta, I need to apply for a license via Out Of Province RN and meet the 1,125 Canadian RN hours. 🙆🏻‍♂️

    • @PaulRN
      @PaulRN  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello. Start with NNAS. That’s the first thing you need to do para ma determine kung comparable or not comparable yung nursing education mo sa Ph sa nursing education sa Canada.
      Kapag ang result ng NNAS mo ay comparable, no need for you to do bridging. Pero kung not comparable ang result ng NNAS mo then mag bi-bridging ka.
      Kung NCLEX-RN passer ka naman, kahit hindi comparable ang nursing education mo, no need to study/brdiging pero sa College of Nurses of Ontario lang ito applicable.
      You can take NCLEX-RN sa board of nursing ng New York kahit di ka PhRN. Marami DIY video here sa youtube on how to do it.

      Yes nakakuha ako ng docs from Fatima. Course syllabus and course description.
      You can apply for eligibility and take NCLEX in Canada.

      Yes pwede naman. Start with your NNAS application. Tas sabayan mo na rin ng pag take ng NCLEX. Those two are the most important things you need to accomplish if you want to pursue nursing (RN) in Canada.
