Nursing program completed in Canada. Yan ang meaning nyan. I’m assuming you completed your BSN in the Philippines. If Yes, then need mo mag NNAS and meet all the requirments including IELTS/CELBAN, NCLEX-RN, work permit, etc.

Yes. You can take NCLEX-RN under NY BON even if nasa Canada ka. PS. I was also from Alberta. I took my NCLEX-RN in downtown Calgary. Tapos nun may license na ako sa CNO, I moved to Ontario.

Hello po I just need some advise po. I passed the NCLEX na po so as you said ipapatransfer nalang xa sa Ontario Board of Nursing. As of the moment po I am processing my NNAS ( status is ready for review) so pag na complete ko na lahat and all hindi pa rin ako makakapunta nang Canada kasi wala pa akong visa right? nasa Japan pa kasi ako, anong pathway ang ma aadvice ninyo na kunin ko?
Hi Sir Paul! Thank you for a very informative info. :) Ask ko lng po sir, if sino po ang mauuna i apply NNAS or NYSED? Wala pa kasing budget for NNAS po. As of now nag training na po ako for infection control. Student pathway po ang entry ko sa Canada. This April 2022 pa po ang flight ko to Toronto. Thank you sir!
Hey Mica! Maganda gawin mo sabay. And since papunta ka na dito, IT IS BEST TO PROCESS YOUR NNAS BEFORE asap. Budget wise mahirap talaga pero oras kasi kalaban mo. Matagal mag release ng Advisory Report ang NNAS. And since student ka, remember may time frame lang ang PGWP mo. You want to make sure you manage your time wisely. In my case, ang mali ko ay nag punta ako Canada na di ko inayos yung NNAS. I had to go back home kasi wala ako mapasuyuan na mag asikaso ng docs ko. So don’t make the same mistake. (Unless meron gagawa on your behalf)

Hello Rachiel! Kasi permanent resident ako dito sa Canada. I took the NCLEX-RN (under sa state ng US) para di na ako mag bridging dito sa Canada. I am not closing doors for any opportunity in the US tho. Since may active license ako sa US, I MIGHT consider working there in the future. For now, I am really enjoying working here sa Canada as RN. Hey!! Thank you and good luck!!! 1. Wala naman minimum work experience na need. Pero you need to work as RN sa Pinas para sa Safe Practice Requirement. Thing is, the more work exp you have, the higher your salary will be. Work kayo agad as RN after niyo pumasa, then take NCLEX RN ASAP. 2. You can start your application ASAP as long as may SURE status kayo sa Canada. Ano ba plan niyong entry papunta Canada? (i.e. student/Permanent Resident/Work Permit etc)

@@veronversales8865 to give you an illustration. Yung last work ko sa PH before ako pumunta dito sa Canada was Safety and Clinic Officer ang job title ko. Pero inindicate ko mabuti na it was a Nurse Supervisor and Safety Officer Position. Tapos nag add ako ng job description as a supporting document. Make sure na you include your COE and Detailed Job description na RN ka kahit nasa dental department ka.

My husband po is in Canada now as student and I’m going with him. So gusto ko pong mag practice nag nursing in Canada. He’s in Ontario din. I’m planning to take the nclex just as you said. And then continue from there. But ang problema ko is regarding the work exp na yun nga namatay yung employer ko. How long do you think should I practice here for the safe practice? We are waiting for our papers to go there. I don’t want po na madelay pa just because sa work experience ko. 🙁
By the way my last employment was Dec 2021. I’m thinking po na wag na iinclude lahat ng experiences ko from 2014-2021 kasi mahirap po kausap ung mga tao sa kuwait and namatay na ung last employer for the last 3yrs of my working exp. Hi Jae! 1. Pwede rin sa Alberta. Pwede sa buong Canada. Im originally from Calgary, Alberta. Pero, only Ontario ang nag a-accept ng NCLEX RN para hindi na mag bridging/study kapag ang NNAS mo ay not comparable. Sa ibang provinces kapag Not Comparable ang NNAS mo, mag aaral/bridging ka kahit NCLEX passer ka pa. 2. Technically dapat si employer mag send. Pero in my case, yung employer ko can’t do it so ako nag send on their behalf pero I made sure na ang name ng sender ay si employer pa rin.

Hello! Hindi lang PR ang pwede ha. Pwede PR, Citizen, Student Permit, Open Work Permit etc. 😉 Going back to your question. YES! Pwede ka mag apply sa CNO kahit pa taga SK ka. PR ako and dito ako nakatira sa Alberta and I was able to complete and obtain my RN and RPN/LPN licenses at the College of Nurses of Ontario. Thing is, I need to move to Ontario para makapag practice hehe.

Hi Ericka! 1. Yes. Almost same sila ng requirements. Ganyan ginawa ko. Pinag sabay ko NNAS and NYSED. Halos magkasunod ko nakuha ang AR (Advisory Report) ko sa NNAS and NY eligibility to take NCLEX RN.

If you wish to apply to other Canadian Nursing regulatory body, they might ask you to take IELTS or CLEBAN.

No na. You can complete NNAS without IELTS. However, when you apply to the board of nursing of your choice, they will/might require you to submit IELTS/CELPIP or any other proof of English/French language proficiency.

Kung may AR ka na from NNAS, port mo na agad sa CNO para ma-accomplish mo na other requirements. Should you pass your NCLEX-RN, dere-derecho na siya.

Hello po I just need some advise po. I passed the NCLEX na po so as you said ipapatransfer nalang xa sa Ontario Board of Nursing. As of the moment po I am processing my NNAS ( status is ready for review) so pag na complete ko na lahat and all hindi pa rin ako makakapunta nang Canada kasi wala pa akong visa right? nasa Japan pa kasi ako, anong pathway ang ma aadvice ninyo na kunin ko?

Hey Mica! Maganda gawin mo sabay. And since papunta ka na dito, IT IS BEST TO PROCESS YOUR NNAS BEFORE asap. Budget wise mahirap talaga pero oras kasi kalaban mo.
Matagal mag release ng Advisory Report ang NNAS. And since student ka, remember may time frame lang ang PGWP mo. You want to make sure you manage your time wisely.
In my case, ang mali ko ay nag punta ako Canada na di ko inayos yung NNAS. I had to go back home kasi wala ako mapasuyuan na mag asikaso ng docs ko. So don’t make the same mistake. (Unless meron gagawa on your behalf)

I am not closing doors for any opportunity in the US tho. Since may active license ako sa US, I MIGHT consider working there in the future. For now, I am really enjoying working here sa Canada as RN. (:

1. Wala naman minimum work experience na need. Pero you need to work as RN sa Pinas para sa Safe Practice Requirement.
Thing is, the more work exp you have, the higher your salary will be.
Work kayo agad as RN after niyo pumasa, then take NCLEX RN ASAP.
2. You can start your application ASAP as long as may SURE status kayo sa Canada. Ano ba plan niyong entry papunta Canada? (i.e. student/Permanent Resident/Work Permit etc)

Pero inindicate ko mabuti na it was a Nurse Supervisor and Safety Officer Position. Tapos nag add ako ng job description as a supporting document.
Make sure na you include your COE and Detailed Job description na RN ka kahit nasa dental department ka.

Hello Mona! You just have to choose “Additional Nursing Group” then LPN. That’s how you add LPN on your NNAS application.

My husband po is in Canada now as student and I’m going with him. So gusto ko pong mag practice nag nursing in Canada. He’s in Ontario din. I’m planning to take the nclex just as you said. And then continue from there. But ang problema ko is regarding the work exp na yun nga namatay yung employer ko. How long do you think should I practice here for the safe practice? We are waiting for our papers to go there. I don’t want po na madelay pa just because sa work experience ko. 🙁
By the way my last employment was Dec 2021. I’m thinking po na wag na iinclude lahat ng experiences ko from 2014-2021 kasi mahirap po kausap ung mga tao sa kuwait and namatay na ung last employer for the last 3yrs of my working exp. 1. Pwede rin sa Alberta. Pwede sa buong Canada. Im originally from Calgary, Alberta.
Pero, only Ontario ang nag a-accept ng NCLEX RN para hindi na mag bridging/study kapag ang NNAS mo ay not comparable. Sa ibang provinces kapag Not Comparable ang NNAS mo, mag aaral/bridging ka kahit NCLEX passer ka pa.
2. Technically dapat si employer mag send. Pero in my case, yung employer ko can’t do it so ako nag send on their behalf pero I made sure na ang name ng sender ay si employer pa rin.

PR ako and dito ako nakatira sa Alberta and I was able to complete and obtain my RN and RPN/LPN licenses at the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Thing is, I need to move to Ontario para makapag practice hehe.

1. I am planning to go to Canada via Students Visa next year. Would it be advisable to acquire the safe practice and pass NCLEX prior to my travel to Canada? Based on your video po kc, RNs who have no experience for 10-15 yrs are required to have a safe practice for 600 hrs.
2. I am a government employee po for almost 13yrs now. Base on your knowledge and experiences po, what are other pathways/program I would take as a student in Canada to eventually help me to become PR and work on my goal to return to practice nursing once I achieved my PR status in Canada.?

Hey Angelique! No. It is not required na nasa Canada ka na before starting NNAS. However, it is HIGHLY recommended to process NNAS kapag may sure visa ka na to enter Canada (student, Open Work Permit, Immigrant)

No na. You can complete NNAS without IELTS. However, when you apply to the board of nursing of your choice, they will/might require you to submit IELTS/CELPIP or any other proof of English/French language proficiency.
