Congratulations to Ryan and Aidan! The best horse won albeit a messy race. Auguste Rodin was in third gear. More is yet to come . Remember he ran the fastest final two furlongs in the Eosom Derby since 1991 and the third fastest over the final 3.44fur only behind Galileo and Nijinsky. Must be backed wherever he goes!
Well done to Ryan Moore for winning is 1st Irish derby but so sad to see San Antonio looks terrible he was a decent horse in is own right winning the Chester vase it's the only thing that hurts to see a horse in pain
@@paulrichards6894 I was thinking that myself. Auguste Rodin was there for the taking he was flat out, the other O'Brien horses was not in the First place pecking order, the more i look at it, Heffernen didnt even go for his horse, he deliberately moved off the inside Rail to lose a Length, he had enough horse under him to hold the inside rail.
The all too common Aiden O'Brien show. Enough about that. A very unsatisfactory race what with the fatality. You can't knock Auguste Rodin. It looked to be a difficult race for him and perhaps he was having a bit of an off day. Still he got the job done and the time was only half a second slower than the Standard. Not sure Heffernan was all out on Adelaide River, but that might be over critical. I've seen many a classic Irish Derby but this one has left me feeling a bit flat. Still I'm happy for the Master that is Ryan Moore and I'm sure we will see a few more silky performances from Auguste before his glittering career finishes.
Deep Impact !
So sad. RIP San Antonio

😢
Heffernan didnt try very hard on the second
Agree, did not look like he wanted to upset the boss,,,or stud fees.

@@calvinaitkin-sf9up he was palpably panicking 2f out when it looked as if he could beat the stable "superstar"
watching the race and knowing how it panned out i wonder how san antonio would have fared......he was traveling well

I knew it will be Auguste Rodin. He is strong.
There are good BREEDS in Ireland
I saw the horse run over the jockey's leg.😓

I hope Wayne Lordan (and San Antonio 🐎) will be good after this horrible accident .
San Antonio is dead 🤔
@@SchmeichelJackson That might be true. I have just read that he suffer, quote " fatal injury" 🤕 .... So...

where were the competition for Auguste Rudin? The race was not competitive!I am happy that R.Moore won it though!
The big guy, King Of Steel is around the corner. ;-)
i think the english derby is only average.....surprised if either of the first 2 in the derby beat the french derby winner
Not the strongest field for a Derby eh, the king George will sort out what’s what in terms of the best middle distance horse for this year.
AUGUSTE,
ADELAIDE,
COVENT,,
. IRRESPECT TOTAL,
Rider of second waving the whip around like a magic wand,,whereas Ryan was pushing hard.Dodgy ride by second.
What happened to the grey
I still think the second horse chould do better 😮
Horrible leg break that
great pity has he was traveling well.....certainly looked to have Adelaide river covered
How they have the nerve to cheat so blatantly in public. Heffernan hang your head in shame.
Auguste Rodin does nothing with any brilliance, he simply grinds out his victories, but he is effective.
