Hey Steve, I have a great question. I have an acronym for my name but I’m not sure how to file it. Should I file the acronym as a DBA or file the acronym not as the DBA?
Depending on how long the actual name is, I would suggest staying with the full name. That is your "official" name. And then do a DBA with the acronym.
Yu can buy both. And then when you decide which to use, you can just forward the other to the main site. Your host can help it if gets too techy for you.
'HVTH' Hound Vanity Tears Humanity Sounds kind of kitschy, but whatever, need to create such a platform asap. Start a website. It feels like this shared psychosis is literally getting worse by the day. Somebody's gonna take the hate, stand up and state the facts. If I don't start it, who's gonna do it? So far I've only found 3 other very small platforms. (including searching in tor browser) Pretty sad to be honest.

Example: goodwill foundation/ Would you guide me to keep the name, I want to start a old age home as well working among poor children, so which type of name should be kept, I am looking forward to work among needy people. I am pretty sure that you can't use "foundation" in your name unless you are an actual foundation. States will have guidelines on this and so will the IRS. I would steer away from using "foundation" in a name unless you are truely a foundation. That is... an organization that has single or specified funding from a corporation or family. the name you choose must show your business is incorporated. Also, many states require that the nonprofit name be followed by “Corporation,” “Incorporated,” “Company” or an abbreviation of those terms, such as “Corp.” or “Inc.”
