@@esc.norway People can relate to this sound, somehow it sounds familiar, it takes you on a journey. I believe it's the Hellinic DNA,that lots of Europeans have. This is why it has an effect on people 😉. All the best 👍 Cheers.
The song is being titled ( translated) Star- Eyed .... It talks about Greek refugees (and refugees in general) and the bond between them and their mother - homeland, which remains strong , wherever they are my star Eyed my star Eyed My sweet mother, don't cry for me Even if they wear black I tore my body apart Flames do not defeat it The swallows of fire Seas even if they pass I root his soils They never forget My star-eyed little one Turn to kiss you In your holy tears My lips to erase My star-eyed little one My turn to catch you My forgotten wings I can hardly rest Oh my star, my jivaeri My sweet mother, don't cry for me My life is a boat Who is looking for the return Air my cloth My star-eyed little one My turn to catch you My forgotten wings I can hardly rest Oh my star, my jivaeri Oh my star, my jivaeri
@@esc.norway It's actually a dirge that, as far as I understand from the lyrics, is addressed to a mother mourning the loss of her daughter. It's just that some sites say it was inspired by the history of the Pontics and that it may have a hidden meaning, not about refugees in general, but about this specific historical event. I explain the meaning in another comment.
This is why I love Eurovision 🩵 this song is by far the best I’ve heard so far in the 2025 Eurovision season. I hope Klavdia is chosen and goes to Basel. I’ll be cheering for it.
Incredibly beautiful, touching and atmospheric just like the country that gave birth to it. My dream would be to see this performed live in Eurovision. The voice is silk.
This song speaks about the homeland where you have been born and seen for the first time the stars. After life journey you want to get rest and close the eyes seeing the same stars and only homeland sees the same stars for you. For every immigrant or refugee. Everybody miss something of his country wherever it is. Asteromata= the land's eye which watches your star
First of all, it is a mournful song with purely poetic traditional language. Its meaning may have many different interpretations. I read somewhere, for example, that it was inspired by the gen@cide of the Pontic Greeks in the 1910s (since she herself is Pontic by origin) and their forced refugee status in present-day Greek state. Reading the lyrics, I understand that the performer is addressing a mother who is mourning her dead daughter. The performer may be a third person, but perhaps the dead daughter herself.
My star My star My sweet mother, don't cry for me Even if they wear black for you My faded body Flames cannot defeat it The swallows of fire Even if they cross seas The soil of my roots They never forget My little star eyes Come back to kiss you In your holy tears My lips to wipe My little star eyes Come back to catch you My forgotten wings Sterns to rest Ah my star, my wind My sweet mother, don't cry for me My life is a ship That seeks the return Wind my sail My little star eyes Come back to catch you My forgotten wings Sterns to rest Oh my star, my wind Oh my star, my wind My star
I’d rather Eurovision not happen again, since Israel is still allowed to participate (or they should be kicked out). That being said, Klavdia is an amazing singer and very popular in Greece; you should check out her other songs.
The translation of the lyrics is not so accurate, it's a mourning and asteromata is the starry-eyed, a precious person. My star My star My sweet mother, don't cry for me Even if they dressed you up in black My faded body Flames cannot defeat it The swallows of fire Even if they cross seas The soils of their roots They never miss My little starry eyed Lean on me to kiss you So on your holy tears My lips will disappear My little starry eyed Lean on me to hold you So my forgotten wings To rest on one last time Ah my star, my precious My sweet mother, don't cry for me My life is a ship That longs for the return And looks for a wind for my sailcloth My little starry eyed Lean on me to kiss you So on your holy tears My lips will disappear My little starry eyed Lean on me to hold you So my forgotten wings To rest on one last time Oh my star, my precious Oh my star, my precious My star
@Skorpio994 I didn’t say there is an issue with sending a song in a native language. I just believe that the song will be one of those who you listen to during the show and when it’s time for voting no one remembers it and takes 2 votes from the audience.
A unique song, like a diamond. Not for Eurovision stage, though. Remember that this has to be performed LIVE. Clavdia is a new singer, not such experienced and just like Amanda Tenfjord, she will "lose" it on stage. The song is difficult for live performance if we wanna hear it like we hear it now. Especially when the beginning of the song is acapella, just like Amanda's song.

my star Eyed
my star Eyed
My sweet mother, don't cry for me
Even if they wear black
I tore my body apart
Flames do not defeat it
The swallows of fire
Seas even if they pass
I root his soils
They never forget
My star-eyed little one
Turn to kiss you
In your holy tears
My lips to erase
My star-eyed little one
My turn to catch you
My forgotten wings
I can hardly rest
Oh my star, my jivaeri
My sweet mother, don't cry for me
My life is a boat
Who is looking for the return
Air my cloth
My star-eyed little one
My turn to catch you

I know everyone has its own preference and taste but even though this song is great, I don't believe it's good for Eurovision...
Why whats wrong with sending a song in a native language with meaning?
Evangelina singing a soccer song isn’t the answer theres no other option
