I ordered this exact drone a while back, and it's supposed to arrive tomorrow. I can't wait to get some shots from 300' up. Years ago my parents got an aerial shot of their property, it was long enough ago that the only way to do it was pay someone with a small airplane to fly over and take a picture. I'm going to see if I can make them an updated shot.
Thank you so much! I watched other videos, but none of them made it so understandable as yours did. It’s obvious that your experience with drones made the difference.
One of the features I'd like to see you get into in another video is the Pan and 180 picture taking modes. The technology they packed into this is incredible. It takes 6 pictures in Pan and stitches them together. In 180, it take 9 pictures and stitches them together (from another reviewer's video). You call this perfect for beginners, but it has so much built into it that most of us will be satisfied with it without needing to move up = $$$$$.
Today I got my Mini 2 SE and got to fly it for the very first time ( any drone in general btw) and let me tell you, it was amazing, its really stable and easy to use, take great pics and vids, the only thing I'm not happy is that I just have 1 battery, and 30 minutes is never enough! I also would love to see you using the pan and 180° photo modes
Yep, I've done a series of review clips on the Air 3 and shown some flight footage in those. This clip was a shorter one that was intended to explain why I think the Air 3 is the best drone flying today for all of the reasons I mentioned. Stay tuned as I'll be posting a longer clip soon with a lot of sample footage and images in it.
the one thing that is missing is follow mode. Other drones in the same category have it! And yes, it doesn't have many sensors to help with the process but it has quickshots that if you are not careful can crush the drone...
Bought this Mini SE about 5 months ago. I have had the Mini 2 for about 2 years, bought the SE anyway, to add to my collection. I use the Mini 2 or the SE. To me it makes no difference as i mostly record in 1080p. The Mini 2SE is an amazing drone for the money Rick. 👍
Can you tell me the difference between the two? I noticed the SE is cheaper than the Mini2, but the only difference I see is that the controllers look different. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
@@MrRunItUp : The controller is exactly the same (identical). If you can buy the Mini 2 for a little more rather get that. But if the Mini 2 SE is say $100 cheaper were you are, get the Mini 2 SE. Biggest difference is the Mini 2 camera shoots up to 4K and the Mini 2 SE camera shoots up to 2.7K. Please note i am referring to the Mini 2 and the Mini 2 SE drones. The Mini SE is a completely different drone (not in looks) with a different controller and it's a WIFI controller, also far cheaper. The Mini 2 and the Mini 2 SE use the OcuSync controller, big difference.
Hello from Ohio, I'm 60 and a boater not a drone pilot...lol. I'd like to get footage out on the lake with this drone in front of me . Would this handle the elements? Its on sale for 299 right now. Looks like a nice drone. Any others that you would recommend in that $$ range or this one of the best ?
Hello from Jersey! This drone is perfect for what you're looking to do and a great first drone for new fliers. None of these smaller drones are weatherproof so you can't fly them in snow or rain but if the sun is shining you can have a lot of fun. There are models that are more expensive but the Mini 2E provides about 90% of the same experience and video quality and costs a lot less. This is the one you want so don't waste another day thinking about it. Buy it today and you could be flying this week - it's an amazing experience. Thanks for the post and be sure to sub the channel so you don't miss any updates.
@@Dronevalley Thank you! (btw....I was born in Philly. Left due to Dad's transfers as a kid. Still vacation in OCNJ every year. Have to have the Pizza and Cheesesteaks at least once a year!...lol) After I wrote to you I stumbled in the Potensic Atom 3. Any thoughts? Sorry, I had to ask! thanks again! Tom (Go Birds!)
I spend a lot of time at the Jersey shore, especially on the bay and love it. As for the drone, stick with the Mini 2SE or the Mini 3. They are much better tech than the Potensic on every level and worth the slight increase in price. I've tested the Atom 3 and both the Mini 2Se or Mini 3 can fly circles around it (literally). Have fun!
Dji.. when i go china n do video. it just refused to take off. i need to registered, sim card. etc and it still cannot fly. Dji is terrible bad with apps to take off
Ordered the dji mini 2se fly more combo as soon as it was available in the USA. I honestly cannot say one bad word about the drone. To me your review sounded more like a commercial than a review. The spec about the 31 minutes of flight time is not really true. Wind, temperature and other factors will play into how much flight time you really get from the battery. I do think you gave some really good advice, but I think a field test of this drone would do it more justice. Keep up the good work, and happy drone flying.
Just got this drone. I know NOTHING about it and the included instructions are very basic. Can’t even see where to insert the micro SD card! I need to do a lot of studying before I take it on its maiden flight!
Out of the 25 people I know who has bought DJI drones only 3 are using them. The rest flew maybe 3-4 times, got bored and the drone ended up collecting dust... So before you spend a lot of money, think about what the purpose is. Also think about the fact that all new DJI drones comes with remote id which is bad. You should not fly drones with remote id. Everything you do with your drone is tracked and you risk being fined large amounts since the regulations are written in such a way that you will always violate parts of them.
Thanks for the post and I agree that the hobby isn't for everyone, but with any new activity, a lot of folks really get hooked and fly a few times a week. It's also one of the few hobbies that you can do alone or with the family and it's incredibly portable and enhances your travel and vacations. As for the Remote ID, I think that's a really negative and narrow view of what it's designed to do. It's essentially a digital license plate being broadcast from the drone when you fly, letting others know whose flying the drone in case you do something dangerous or dumb. None of the data is logged and if you're flying responsibly, you have nothing to worry about. On the other hand, if you're flying your drone 6 miles away or constantly buzzing your neighbors, your days are numbered and that's a good thing for the public and the hobby. Nothing more than that. There have to be some rules with every new piece of tech or it's absolute chaos.
@@Dronevalley ADS-B is not logging anything either but by pure magic every ADS-B transmitting aircraft on the planet ends up on the flightradar24 homepage in real-time and you can also access historical data. Everything any modern terrorist with some self-respect has in his toolbox.I wonder if the license plates of my car can do that?🤔
MIke, what issues are you having with DJI? I fly and use a lot of their gear and have had good luck with them. Right now I think they make the best drones flying today. Let me know your concerns.

This video is very helpful. I'll buy one for myself. Thank you
Where to take tje trust test??
Do you need to request approval for flights because of being near a small airport or military area?
I don't think the mini 2 se has the automatic flight pattern mode. I think that the mini 2 has that.

the, fly over people is my favorite. people are everywhere you might be flying. with all these no fly zones, is it even worth getting?
You can fly over people but not crowds.
You can fly over people but not crowds at a safe height obviously have fun stay safe.

In Europe RemoteID is not mandatory for sub 250gr (C0 class) drones. Maybe worth mentioning for the european subscribers :)
