The Secret of the Golden Flower is more than just a book-it's a guide to unlocking the 'secret' within you, where you are the flower, and the secret lies within. It describes an experience so profound that once attained, your body and mind will be transformed forever. This isn't about breaking free from societal illusions to live 'free,' but rather about transforming the very essence of your consciousness and gaining a new way of living. This is where I believe Alan Watts and many others miss the mark; it's not about intellectual concepts. The real power of this meditation lies in the direct, experiential transformation it brings, leading to lasting change through experience, not theory.
Experiential transformation. Perfectly put. My experience lasted a mere 15 seconds but it was so profound, no words can do it justice. I'm more in the divine pomandres chapter of Corpus Hermeticum than this but the profundity is what counts..
@@andrewlaw1639 Thank you for sharing your profound experience. Those fleeting yet transformative moments truly defy words. While our sources differ, the nature of reality is the same! Keep exploring the mysteries and wish you the best on your quest.
@@samburger7715 Soon, I will have a video up where you can listen to my path and see if it connects with you enough to follow. For now, the best advice I can give is to listen to the books "The Secret of the Golden Flower" and "The Tao Te Ching," both translated by Thomas Cleary. Spend time with these books. Read them over and over again. As you do, your mind might spiral and doubt. Rest assured that the author has already accomplished various experiences to reach the attainment behind the words. To truly understand, you must look beyond intellectual comprehension. This is an inner quest. These books, among others, are like road maps to dimensions beyond, accelerating the evolution of consciousness. The techniques might appear simple, but practicing them day in and day out, every minute of your waking life, is no easy task. Soon, you will be absorbed, and any fantasy movie will not come close to your new realm of experience. Remember, true meditation is stronger than any drug out there. If you dedicate yourself fully to this investigation, it's possible you may run into some barriers. If you do, look into the work of Tara Springett for guidance. @KundaliniDillon Weirdly, the quest now is to suppress the desire for that divine union again which was so profound in the first place. The ultimate mind fuck which Watts has spoken about.
The meeting of East and West has just begun.Right in the beginning, when I entered the dojo of TAISEN DESHIMARU ROSHI in Paris at a brunch after 1 h of ZAZEN,he said to me ( smiling) " Don't think so much,it's not necessary" It is n o t good to start a n y practice of Eastern style meditation to do this without d i r e c t transmission of a real master...not some selfmade New Ager....

Thank you
What a misleading title. He\s not speaking about the Secret of Golden Flower at all. He's addressing Jung's commentary in the book.
Nice 👍 The captions need some work though. There are quite a few incorrect similar sounding words, unfortunately.

Have you ever seen Americans to focus in on anything but what they are buying? And being completely unconscious of what they are buying into.

This is the least interesting of Watts works. NO caution is necessary in learning Zen e.g.
