So much ridiculous stuff around this camera. I wish it had some changes but we all know if it was priced lower, we would all want one. The output is pretty amazing and it has its place.

That STABILIZATION was on RAILS !!! First and foremost man, great review....very thorough ! Your footage and stills especially were fire, looked really good ! I think thats where the S9 is gonna do numbers. With the Lumix Lab app, customizing luts, picking from the phone, sending to camera, shooting, then back to the phone to post...MAJOR ! Aside from that, for "settings on the go", most of us Lumix shooters set up and save those on the C1 C2 C3 dial. Just turn it to one of those, and you're good to go with whatever you set.

@@davey_gravy Yup, I usually put 48fps on C1, 60fps on C2, and 96 fps on C3. Video stays on video, photo stays on photo...and I have it all set to where the photo/video settings don't mix and match. They stay how they are, no matter what you use.

Anyone wondering about the file sizes 500GB v30 is about 5h at 6k OG (that’s what it is with my S5IIX) more or less that’s what you should be getting to
Thanks for sharing. If Panasonic had used high grade display, that's great outdoors, I think a lot of the interface challenges would have been addressed
I thought the l screen was great outside. I also am not convinced this camera is meant for the outdoors
I had no issues shooting wit it outdoors + in direct sun.. They got the screen brightness and visibility RIGHT.
Hybrid zoom works on video too

No issues with it. I believe it has dual native ISO at 640 and 4000? I didn’t try it in really low light
To be honest, this Lumix's new camera is a piece of shit. Its price is too expensive but its performance is low.
I had some hand on time with it and share my opinion, have you got your hands on One yet?
@@davey_gravy your video is very detailed and I like it very much, I went to the Lumix flagship store. When shaking it, its jello effect is quite serious. Only with ELEC shutter is the worst thing on the camera.
Nonsense video, lots of ifs an assumtions .
Doesn`t show us anything, lenses are fullframe, so very big too.
Only some stupid pancake piece of plastic is small.
No comparison with the A7S3 for ergonomics low light video and no crop 4k video.
It`s a commercial.

Hard to say, I only spent a short amount of time with this camera so I’d love to play with it more, but I was super happy with the video I got.
The tricky thing is I own Sony lenses right now, but the Lumix ones are very tempting, I love how small they are

Great first look, always interesting what people who use other systems think when using.
Hybrid zoom also works for video, there it even makes more sense. When you shoot 4k it just digitally zooms from the 6k to the 4K part of the sensor so you still get the full quality. With more reach.
And for those who see this but want a headphone jack , unlimited recording , and a better grip s5ii is basically it :)
Great to know that the hybrid zoom works in video as well, I forgot that this is a 6k sensor so it only zooms into 4K, that’s amazing!
@@davey_gravy in full hd it zooms even more with hybrid zoom but i guess most people film in 4k or more but the feature its still a great idea
Tilt lcd would be nice
It would be nice. I enjoyed the flip LCD. I imagine a Flip/Tilt LCD would raise the price on the camera.

I think Panasonic will Double the limits eventually and enable usbc dongle headphone jack ING a firmware update...this camera is an opportunity for third party is to make grips ext viewfinders ext flash solutions and most of all quality small lenses for l mount.
My only complaint was that there was no 1499$ bundle with the lens cap lens or the 20m to 60m kit lens or 1299$ camera only preorder sale.
That would have made it and.unbeatable value.
But there will be sales eventually.
People acting like this is great because it captures imsges that the s5ii captures while missing everything that makes a camers useful 😆
