Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on TH-cam, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on TH-cam. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on TH-cam, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.
If you enjoy this video and my reactions make sure you subscribe to the channel, like the video and comment down below which video you would like to see me react to next.
This is a reaction video used to educate and give my feedback on the song and artists.

Man! In 1973, this 14yo white boy was in LOVE with Gladys Knight!
Gladys Knight is an absolute Queen. One of the greatest masters of soul.
My favorite version. Gladys Knight and the Pips are GOAT.
💖💖💖 OMG! I love "Midnight Train To Georgia"! "Neither One Of Us", "If I Were Your Woman" and "You're The Best Thing" are great too.
That!!
One of the very best live bands I’ve ever seen. Incredible.
How cute is Gladys!! She's got one on those voices that when you hear it, you know who it is. Love her and the Pips! Thanks for this.
Gladys and the Pips are pure soul Next song of theirs - Midnight Train to Georgia live please.
When I was about 11 or 12 I saw Gladys Knight & the Pips on television for the first time. I thought she was the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen, and crushed on her and her music for the next several years. Still love that voice, and she never did lose that beauty as she aged.
She is a beautiful soul. Anything she sings is perfect. Midnight Train to Georgia, all of them.
My goodness🤩 Gladys Knight & The Pips!! nice💖one of my favorites is Midnight Train to Georgia and You’re The Best Thing🩷🩷 🎵🌷and Shawn, Marvin Gaye’s version of I Heard it through the Grapevine is awesome too!! ♥️
ya. love Midnight Train to Georgia
Another great song of their's is "Neither One of Us"...🎤🎶🇨🇦
Luv....yes luv! Luv that song. I saw them in concert with KC and the Sunshine Band in 78. How do you think this concert was? 🔥
@@michaelasay8587 Unfortunately never saw either group in concert...usually just on TV. Still both groups were great back then for sure..🎤🎶🇨🇦
This was so much fun, it inspired me to dig up all my vinyl R&B 45s on Buddha and Motown. Everything by Gladys Knight & the Pips is vivacious and exciting.
Have always loved Gladys Knight- She still sings and is still very beautiful !
Two Soul Train performances in a row! You rock, Shawn! Gladys and the Pips were all over the R&B/Pop charts in the 70s. She's been singing since she was a child and is still active today. She's a class act.
I love to hear their sone Midnight Train To Georgia. Try that one next.
Queen of Soul.
She released this in 1967 and Marvin Gaye did his version in 1968. I was 11 years old and got the Marvin Gaye 45rpm record for xmas! I played it non stop ~ Love both versions.
Me too!
Gladys Knight is a living legend. I've seen them a few times over the years. I believe all of the Pips are gone now, sadly. But at 79 Gladys Knight is still going strong. She made a surprise appearance on "The View" a couple of months ago for Whoopi's birthday. Sang "You're the Best Thing That Ever Happened to Me" for her. Still in amazing voice. Great song!! Also, "Midnight Train to Georgia" by them is as soulful an R&B classic as you'll ever hear. It is a must!!
Gladys Knight, the Empress of Soul, and the Pips brought the true spirit of the Motown sound in their version, which is why it'll always be one of my childhood favorites! The others don't even come close to the vibrancy and call to dance ❤
Gladys is definitely part of the Queen of Soul group, she has many many hits, definitely go down this rabbit hole, Midnight Train to Georgia
First version I ever heard. Still my favorite. although I bought the other versions, too
That just oozes soul.
The Pips were Gladys' 2 cousins and Big Brother Bubba.
Got some fros in the audience. Stylin' What a scene, such great energy. Gladys could do no wrong.
The smile on your face says it all.
If you listen to the CCR version of this song, make sure you listen to the extended long version b/c it is one of the best guitar solos ever.
Gladys Knight ,the Empress of soul, introduces Focus singing Hocus Pocus on Midnight Special if you haven't you should react to Hocus Pocus by Focus from Midnight Special introduced by Gladys Knight!
Their recording is my favorite version of this great song, recorded by several artists. Another one from them worth a listen, Midnight Train to Georgia. The choreography was a trademark for a lot of Motown groups.
Try “Friendship Train” by Gladys Night and The Pips. The 1969 studio version. It has great instrumentation and of course vocals of the wonderful Gladys Night. The song has a great message for its time and still today. And it will have you moving on your chair!
You’re right that Gladys Knight and the Pips did the original version, it’s my favorite! Marvin Gaye does a good version of this too, and so does Tina Turner live, the Pips are the best backup singers of all times, love me some Gladys Knight and the Pips
The vibes are immaculate
her version is the best of all-it rocks.
My favorite version! This performance is on Sooooouuuulll Train.
Artists today can't sing it that good, even with autotune!
And autotune automatically tunes out every shred of soul, emotion, and humanity. What’s left is computerized robotic sounding drivel.
Beautiful voice.
Funk Brothers was the name given to Motown's studio musicians, sort of like the Wrecking Crew, and The Swampers in other studios.
Gladys knight and the pips do the best version of the song "feelin alright" second best is Grand funk railroad, 3rd is Jackson 5, 4th Joe Cocker, 5th Traffic, 6th 3 dog night,....fight me!!
Listen to all the versions ! Marvin ❤️
Do the rest of them and her!!
"Midnight Train to Georgia" is a must listen from Gladys Knight. Yes think Gladys had the first hit with Grapevine, but Marvin was close behind.
Without a doubt, the next version of this song should be Marvin Gaye! An amazing rendition, and I really believe it was the best one and the most popular one.🎉❤
Should check out credence clearwater revivals version
The Pips were Gladys’s brother and two cousins.
Many versions of this song but Marvin Gaye's is the best and most famous.
Marvin
My favorite version of this song is Marvin Gaye's.
And my favorite Gladys Knight's song is "For once in my life"❤
again you need to learn and study the backstories of all the great artists
Love Love Love Soul Train
