I'm all in on your plans. Bought every thing you had PSBBP, PSB, PSPR, PSCC, PSC, PSK, PSRT. Going with the PSB instead of the PSBB so I can fit everything in two karts. These will be my workstations for a very big trim job.

Ron, great video. learned alot. i just bought the 700. wish i saw your video before i used it. made some mistakes that i would have avoided if i saw your video first. do you have any tips for making mortises in table legs that splay 5 degrees? I had some challenges setting the fence to 5 degrees when joining legs to horizontal pieces that held the legs together independent of using the table top to lock the unit together.

Thanks for series on the domino. Much appreciated. Do you use the domino for a fixed shelf joint in a cabinet base or do you prefer to use a dado?

How do I get an apron like yours? Good job on demonstrating the Festool domino machines.

I have both Dominos - would you consider using dominos instead of wood screws when assembling your benches?

What is the Brand Name of the apron you are wearing? Looks very good for working around a bench.

When you used the cross stop, why did you cut all of the holes with the tight position? I'm under the impression that you only use the tight cut on the first domino position and then you switch to the middle domino position. Because you use the tight fit cut for all holes, have you encountered problems when you assemble the two panels?

The common method and probably correct method is to use the loose fit except for a couple of tight ones. I personally like using all tight even though fitting them can be a bit tougher. I would try both on some scrap and see which method you prefer. 😎🤙

@@TheSmartWoodshop I'm creating some barn doors with 2x4s, because they are 85" long it is necessary to make several domino cuts. After testing on several scrap boards I decided to tight cut the first only and the remaining will be loose. Initially, with several test boards, I discovered that even with the loose cut the holes became misaligned as I worked my way down the 85". This really put a damper on things for me. I went through the setup several times and rewatched your video with each retry before I discovered one of the cross stops was off one tick. After I corrected the setting, all worked as expected. With my spacing, I made 10 cuts and used every other hole. The top side was perfectly aligned! Because I will be only using every other hole I need a total of 11 holes, I prefer to have one Domino near each end. I readjusted the settings on the Cross Stop and was successful on another test cut. Now, back to the real project. Thanks for the video and feedback!

@@johnterdik4707 I also had miss alignment one pieces that are only 1m in length and dominoes spaced 120mm. I would love to know the secret to all the videos I have watched that have better alignment in order to use tight domino cuts.

I understand that out-of-warranty repairs by Festool can be extremely expensive and that Festool will not sell some repair parts unless they install them. Is that correct? Can you or your viewers advise me what to be wary of when buying a used 500?

I found that the used machines were close enough in price to the new ones that spending a little extra for three years of support was worth it for me. In my area the difference was like $200
