SON OF NIGHT PROWLER! '41 WILLYS GASSER! 555 CI BBC! HISTORIC FAMILY TRIBUTE! GLORY DAYS! BYRON!

How cool is this! Here is story of dedication and love from a son to his father by keeping the memories alive plus continuing the family tradition of drag racing with a '41 Willys. Starting back in the '60s through the '80's the original Night Prowler was raced throughout the midwest taking on many of the big names in the sport. In '96 the Willys was sold to local racer Bill Swarm so they could finance and build another '41 Willys to compete in Midwest Top Sportsman Series. In 2000 the new Night Prowler ran with the Quick 8 Door Slammers with a 900hp motor and nitrous. The car has since had the frame stretched 7 to 14 inches and now is certified for 6.0. It was built by S+D race cars and the last car they would build. The newest car is called "The Son of The Night Prowler" and was originally built to put on the street featuring a custom interior with power windows, 4 wheel disc brakes and other street amenities. Well that didn't last long as Jimmy got the itch to drag race it and what better way than a re-creation of the car his dad raced back in the day. Now the car is a full on gasser powered by a 555ci all motor big block chevy with full length zoomie headers, chrome straight axle and leaf springs, period correct wheels, a beautiful black metallic paint job with hand painted lettering with silver leaf by Bindy, and now sporting that nostalgic gasser stance. This Willys has been a hit on and off the track and can be seen this year at Byron Dragway's Glory Days Vintage Drag Race, Car Show and Swap Meet in August 19-21.
