That white Cadillac seems to be an easy fix and would be a really nice car
*The XT5 wants too come home with u* 😋
The 1999-2000 Escalade was GM's rush answer to the Lincoln Navigator. It was a rebadged GMC Yukon Denali, featuring the 6.0 engine. In 2000 GM introduced the "Generation 2" trucks (GMT800 series), and the redesigned Escalade was a 2001 model.
I would so love to have one of those Cadillacs to use as a service vehicle. It would be so fun show up with back full of tools and parts
Audio was fine in my opinion. Great content. If you can get the GMC, I would..sort out the check engine light and it would be a good flip, also in my opinion. Keep on rocking the awesome content. Also, congrats on the 400K subs!
the audio was fine Rebuilds 👍
Hey Randy, as always a treat to help make my day! Audio was not bad at all! Kudos to the guru of automotive information! Your knowledge of the intricacies of all the different models and engine types, and each one it’s amazing!
Randy. My name is Randy as well. I hope you see this comment. I have a Prius and an XT5. This is my 4th Prius. There is a jump point under the hood. No need to dig into the back to get to the battery. This is the 2nd video I’ve seen you looking at a Prius and this was an issue. Love your videos. Springfield Mo. Thank you for what you do.
Love the acadias. But they are known for having transmission problems with failing torque converters that damage the gears and end up having to replace the whole transmission. Also the motor mounts go bad (mainly in the south due to heat drying out rubber). Other than that they’re really great and spacious cars!
Great video as always. Greetings from Guatemala!!!
If you open the fuse box on that Prius you'll see a positive terminal you can just ground it to any metal on the car of course I usually use that big metal box next to the fuse box
You have GOT to know, by this stage of the game, that from day one production .. "Acadia" translates to STAY AWAY 😊
Randy, I just got done watching your Copart walk around from last night. I think you posted around 12 o’clock last night you do a fantastic job on these videos keep the contact coming I watch them every time you have one up doesn’t matter if it’s Copart, AAA for the dealers auto auction one that you do and all the ones that you do at your dealership to watch everyone of them just keep the Contant coming for me because I watch them every time. Talk to you later have a good day man.
Love the late content randy. I just realized your on central time because this posted at 1am Eastern Time. Would love too see any second gen or first gen mitsubishi eclipes in one of your walkarounds.
For the acadia this is the reason the AC Button was flashing 3 times: the unit has too much or too little refrigerant, the compressor may need to be replaced, or the fan motor might be malfunctioning.
Hi randy i like your content and your explanation , am watching from Tanzania
Sound was good to me. Nice walkaround
Audio quality was good despite not having the mic . Enjoyed the walk around also...
Vary awesome selection indeed. Keep up the great work.
Actually the sound in this video is PERFECT 👍
Awesome job Randy Thanks.
Audio Sounds Good
The other day you were having audio issues, it kept on cutting in and out.
You don't have your Jumper Pack to OBD2 Power Adapter with you, to pop the hatch??
Only Toyota I like is the Prius.
30:51, something you commonly forget Randy, these trucks are worth a lot of money when they are fixed and in Nice condition well over $2,500, in some cases $10 to $15000.
Audio and content were awesome.
Good afternoon sir. Good to see you.😊👍
Just a heads up .. there’s 3 different versions of the 3.6 that gm uses. Share displacement but definitely not the same engines. Some were for fwd / some rwd. The one you’re referring to is the high output fwd/awd engine
What’s Goooood Randy! The jump point in the prius will be in the engine compartment, lift up the fuse box. Lift up the red switch with a plus sign and thats your positive jump point
Love your videos randy
There was a nice Accord next to the Honda Pilot.
Sound was decent. No issues here.
We jump Pirus off at the main fusebox up front. Hook to the positive and find a good ground. 👍
Waiting to see your new truck on the channel Randy
Hi Randy, I thought the sound was fine, no problems at all. I wish you would have showed that Kia Sportage, I thought you were going to but then you moved on. I would love to know something about them, strengths and weaknesses which years are good and which years to stay away from, you always seem to know these kind of things. As usual great video and I really like the format with the 2 walkarounds a day through the week and your fixes for the stable of cars you have. If I had any money at all then I would be a serious buyer on that audi S4, I hope it finds a good home. Keep up the good work, and keep mixing up your inventory, from new to old I love them all. 😀✌❤
Yes more Hondas on the channel
Oh my..the bass that Prius projected through headphones was astronomical
Can you look at some Honda crvs?? Love the vids
Randy I hope you can get the GMC Acadia it looks in a decent condition in a reasonable price and continue with the excellent content 😌 greetings
I propose a challenge. I challenge you Randy to buy a Chevy with the D.O.D. Buy a high mileage vehicle that you can get cheap. Then I want to see you drive it keep the oil changed as GM suggests. I want to see how many miles you can put on it without having the engine fail due to the D.O.D. It is not as common as you let on. It's pretty rare according to service reports. Gotta keep in mind how many their is out there.
I think car wizard said not the 2014
When we were looking at the new Acadias, I turned the air on in 2 of them right off the transport truck and it took 5 to 7 minutes to get cool air into the truck. It was crazy, not one but two of them.
Anytime you see a Saab, could you check it out? I love those cars and I’m interested to see if there are any out there and the condition. I saw a red one in the background in this video 😂
U can also open tge trunk from inside there at the trunk in the center there a safty switch to unlock the truck
Audio was fine in my opinion. Great content. If you can get the GMC, I would..sort out the check engine light and it would be a good flip, also in my opinion.
to jump start a prius under the hood u need to go into the fuse box also if the stickers dont say an insurance company on them then r going to be cds like the prius is
You can jumpstart a Prius in the front fuse box by the pink fluid
I love that Acadia keep it up randy!!!
Hemi tick now exist there is a motion to get a recall started Randy !
i agree with remove the fuse box and look for the positive jump point its red
If you hadn't said anything, I wouldn't have known you weren't using a mic. That camera has some good audio.
You should use the service where somebody checks the car out and buy it to see if the service is worth the money plus it might make interesting content
Hey Randy I have a 13 Cadillac SRX same vehicle just a lower gen model there’s a main 300 amp fuse by or on the battery that needs to be replaced I drove Through some deep water and blew the fuse ended up going Through insurance they replaced that main fuse battery and stater… it runs just fine since then
Man, that c300 right next to the xt5 doesn't look to shabby. She's a 4 cylinder turbo that's more than likely 4matic but I'd still run the wheel off one.
We have an Acadia, it's the wifes DD, have owned it for years and never had a problem, it just keeps chugging along. Changing the oil on it sucks because of where the filter is. I normally always change the oil myself but our local GMC dealership does oil changes with Mobil1 and a Delco filter for $59.
You can jump start a Prius from the engine bay main fuse box .
in 1999 when the escalade first came out it came with onstar in the over head console
That Prius will probably get saved if all else used for parts but most likely saved as people have figured out how to solve most of the issues including upgrading the hybrid battery. For the Gen 3 Prius the engine can be swapped out for an engine from the Gen 4 solving most of the issues with oil consumption though one is still stuck with using the stock ECU. The traction battery can be changed out to a lithium iron phosphate battery from nexpower. The 1.5 used in the Gen 2 and the Prius C thankfully doesn't suffer nearly as many problems as the 1.8 used in the Gen 3 and the Prius V.
Be safe and careful.😊👍🙏
Hey Randy, what about filling in for Steve on the junkyard crawl?? I see Hoovie jumped on board already.. 😂 take care
Hy. It will be interesting to know the sale prices of some of the cars that you show
Audio and Video was good.
I’m pretty sure that generation Pilot was known for cam shaft bearing issues and the cams will move around when they get high mileage. It’s unfortunate because Honda is known for making some good engines.
The audio was fine.
The hood may have to be shut to start it maybe a safty featcher so someone cant start it when your working on it. For the caddy
My wife wanted one of those Acadias but it never came to be. It is hard to find a new 4X4 SUV in Mexico.
Randy congrats on your new ram 1500 limited with etorque
GMC Arcadia Seems ok for channel
Can’t wait to see the new ram 1500 I am big ram fan
Audio was just fine
Your audio sounds good to me
The battery jump points for that Prius are next to the inverter coolant tank underneath that Fuse cover there is a plus jump point and then you just have to ground it to the body I have worked for Toyota now for 25 years any help that you need with them please let me know I'm here to help😊
Those 3rd gen Priuses have a common head gasket failure issue. Considering the noise and the coolant in the back and my experiences working at a shop that specialized in Priuses that’s what I would call that.
There is a jump point on the prius. It is in the fuse box under the hood. It has a red cap on it.
Hey Randy. Probably when you get the chance you could review some passenger vans (10 or more passengers). Or small busses.
That Monte Carlo would make a great project car 👍
Randy that Caddy would be a very good parts car for Mike Charlie kretschmar Phoenix Arizona
There is jump points on the prius on right side under the fuse box
Hey Randy, how come you pass jeep SUVs ? I see Cherokees and Grand Cherokees in a lot of your videos and you don't give them a first or second look. Love your channel!
Good morning Randy. The Toyota Prius is a good looking car. The 2021 Cadillac XT5 is a good looking car.
Uctually Audio like that today is better. 😂
Again touch the key fob to the start button and use it to push to start.
If that Pruis came from Chicago look under neath the car as Chicago is in the Rust Belt. The road salt will eat everything out underneath,
Audi is perhaps the worst by far in that part of the country for rust issues while Toyota usually does better overall but not invulnerable. I watch another channel by a mechanic up that way.
Randy they are selling those minute Carlos for 10k ..by it it's a luxury sport
Can you look at that GMC behind the Acadia?
That 2000 Escalade is a great choice
Run away from the GMC Acadia. 3.6 with a check engine light on. Probably timing correlation codes. Look it up. it is an engine assy with cradle out job. Prius is most likely a clogged EGR cooler. Mine was stumbling the same way. Clogged EGR with oil in the intake. If left clogged too long the head gasket may be blown.
The GMC Acadia is a nice vehicle. That is fancy 👍
OBS Escalade SUV is kool not seen first generation could use paint job could use a GMC Yukon Denali front drive seat.
I'm no expert but this is what I have experienced with a vehicle that has had a dead battery for a while. When you charge it or install a new battery, you may get the check engine light coming on for codes. For me it was a Catalytic inefficiency code. Another symptom is, the OBD2 will show that you don't have the Readiness boxes checked off for you to pass an emission check.
When these things happen it means the computer has to resync with all the sensors and the only way to do that is by performing a vehicle specific Drive Cycle. Do that and the codes go away, and threadiness will be good to go.
I've learned that the GM 3.6 is junk and the older 3.8 is one of the best engines.
please see more pt curser please
Sound was 👍
That Arcadia I bet you it’s the timing chain.
New frame and font clip would fix that monte carlo
Drove a xt4 there nice
Audio was good. What about the red suv just in front? Just saying!
The audio was good
Randy, the Cadillac refuses to start because the hood is open. Conditions not safe to start due to open hood
Honda never had a problem with transmissions going out haha that’s nissan
Hey Randy, Is it possible to show more Acura on the channel? And some Honda? Theres almost no acura or honda on the channel
Let's check out the Prius.👍
Audio isn't bad at all!
Randy you never show a Toyota Rav 4 i have 1 i drive mostly in the winter. I live in New England so i put my Mustang in the garage the Toyota is a 2008 with 155k on it all i ever have done to it is maintenance
You passed up a sharp-looking silver Mustang with black stripes
