Maybe even a disqualification from working any season 2024 bowl games. It’s only fair imo.

The receiver was touched and held causing the receiver to turn inside when he was attempting to turn outside. look at the sideline view, the defender left arm initiated the contact.
@@Mitchello457 you need to open your eyes. If GA got a PI for falling on a receiver and touching his arm even though he punched the ball away from the receiver......... Now you have a defender holding a receivers arms not allowing him a chance at receiving the ball. Just like tackling the player while the ball is 2 yards away from them...........
Absolute class from the Texas fans

Right. Have to hold the refs accountable
Don't make horrendously bad calls then
Its a bad call we can agree with this no doubt.... How they went about overturning it is the issue. We will see fans doing this more often unfortunately @@Bones12x2
Crap hole to play in, we can all see that!! And beer cans flying onto the field..how classy..so glad Georgia won and I'm not even a Georgia fan..
People are acting like this decided the game. I think it was the fact that georgia scored more touchdowns that had a bigger impact.
It’s no controversy. It SHOULD not happen again. Shameful actions from both students and refs. Has no place in CFB.
It was the wrong initial call, but you can’t reward the fans for that
Good call…”The NCAA rule states that contact may be made with a receiver if the ball isn’t in the air. If the quarterback had thrown the ball, then the contact was made, it would be a pass interference call”.
Right or wrong they're not suppose to change that call, you just told every student section to now toss beer cans lol
Nope, not every student section. Just the teasip student section. Believe me, they believe they deserve preferential treatment over everyone else ...
“After a discussion… We realize that it would not be safe for us to walk to our vehicles or officiate another game in this city ever again… No penalty on the play” is basically what they said. Bad call or not…?
Fire these refs and penalize UT.
Bill LeMonnier and Kirk Herbstreit are both disgusting for this.
Saying the refs had the bravery to overturn the call after being bullied and reviewing a penalty that is not reviewable to begin with.
Never never never seen anything like this before
🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
I’m happy how it turned out. Refs were exposed and UGA still handled business. This game was never close.
if they hadn't overturned - "HOW COULD THAT HAPPEN"
when they overturned - "HOW COULD THAT HAPPEN"
yeah but you can't just overturn the call 🤓
Refs are on one tonight. Shouldn’t be making bad calls in the first place

@Jared-xf5xl yes they were. Just because you a blinded by bias doesn't mean that the top of the helmet changes position.
A good team can overcome bad officiating...
This officiating crew screwed this game up in every way possible. No one ever agrees with calls against their team. These guys were trash and now stadiums will look like San Francisco streets.
Fortunately this insanity did not keep the Bulldogs from winning this game.
When you try to cheat and still get beat..... thought espn was bankrupted..... 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
You're absolutely right. Shame on Texas, horns down.
This video doesn't include about four minutes between Ref announcing interference, and Ref announcing reversal of interference.

Good! All of it's sports entertainment! You can't let them script things and not show how upset you are.
Only bull crap calls that are obvious that refs were trying help Georgia and our fans called them out. When they’re that obvious they should throw everything on the field. Water bottles beers wallets phones Apple Watches car keys throw everything on or at the refs screw them
@@firstgradewumbo5607 It was a terrible call. But it's not reviewable. They changed the rules on the fly.
🖕🏼 espn game day picked the wrong team. Go Dawgs
They threw the flag..huddled to get the number and the call (nobody said anything about overturning the call then) announced the penalty…marked off the penalty and Texas throws a tantrum and somehow the call is magically overturned. That’s terrible !!!
That bag hit that refs bank account just in time.
It’s nice to see Refs opening up their options. Before they could only be bought. Now they can be intimidated into calls, as well. It’s bad sportsmanship, and possibly dangerous, but it really, really works.
As a Texas fan, I’m disappointed in our fans for throwing crap on the field. We are fans and have no business interfering with the game in such a manner. All this did was encourage other fans of other teams to do the same. That being said, if anything, that was offensive pass interference. While I’m glad they changed the call, how it all went down is a disgrace to Texas fans.
I knew this would be a tough game. Texas isn’t in the Big XII anymore and every game will be tough, there aren’t any Baylor’s or Jayhawks in this conference. To be the best, you have to beat the best and the ‘Horns fell short. They needed to get punched in the mouth and hopefully this lights a fire under them.
Congrats to the Dawgs, hopefully we get to see yall again in the conference championship!
No man is above the law or the rules established for administering the game. I say the only fair thing in terms of the caliber of officiating in this game would be for each and every member of the on-field referee team, as well as any “booth” members tied to the overturned call be suspended for one game without pay and their lack of professionalism and integrity documented in their respective personnel file. Maybe even a disqualification from working any season 2024 bowl games. It’s only fair imo.
Turns out it didn’t matter
Exactly
They tried to cheat and still lost.
Texas Refhorns 🤣🤣🤣
And Kirk you were rooting for the Refhorns on your podcast 🤔🤔🤔🤔
The problem isn’t the bad call, refs make them all the time. The problem is that once it's accepted and marked, there is no ability to talk again or review. Just because fans delayed the game (no penalty... really?) Does not make the last play any more reviewable. This crew should be removed from their jobs. Most egregious and flagrant example of the appearance of being a biased crew in modern history.
Haha at the one fan yelling “vacuum!” “Vacuum!”.
Refs trying so hard to keep Texas in the game lol.

After the debris hit the field, the correct call for the referees would have been to end the game immediately and declare Georgia the winner.

Next thing you know fans will just start throwing crap on the field to slow down the opposing offense or give their own team more time.
