    Just a side note to all these great videos: The public speaking and presentation skills Gabriel & Isabella are learning while making these is worth it's weight in GOLD!!! They're great at it and that is such a valuable skill to have for everything in life, and it's a skill that most people don't have and are TERRIFIED to even attempt to learn. Good on you all!

    I've got some tent poles and a tarp. Also I got one of them huge patio umbrellas.
    I can adjust the umbrella in a way where the poke is in an L shape. Could use it as a sail if needed

    I know it’s been a while since your post. Hoping you see this question. You didn’t comment anything about how the center rod was built. Where did you get the T pieces that connects to the tent rods for perpendicular center support? It was the only part I didn’t understand how to do. Thank you.

    Oh and I'd expand your canopy out a little wider on top so that it covers a bigger area with shade.

    Do the lid mod on the big lid and turn it around, makes it easier to access

      I have considered it, but, I just haven't pulled the trigger on that mod yet and I can't really explain why.

    Love this idea and video. My one question is how does it hold up if it’s windy out on the lake?

  • @jamesbondo13
    @jamesbondo13 ปีที่แล้ว

    I searched for this. Its been a while since this upload, but if you made it double lmwalled with a layer of air trapped in between, or even open on the ends, it will make the air underneath even cooler

    What size tent poles did you use? What size/type of 3-way fitting did you get from Lowe's to attach the crosspiece to?

    Okay but what happens if it catches wind while on the water?

  • @dvdrwsor

    Great video !
    How thick are the poles? I have access to 7mm, 7.5, 8, 8.5, 9, 9.5 mm.
    If you could do it again, what thickness would you choose?
    Thank you for your time !

    I bet that impedes casting, bigtime

    • @robertsbushcraft
      @robertsbushcraft  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes sir, it does. That said, a little cast modification this way and little that way and so far I've been able to cast without too much of an issue.
