- I'm so excited to share with you all that I was fortunate enough to be able to get the newly released Grand Seiko Katana watch. It is a one of 500 limited edition in which the dial captures the moment during the forging process when the blade is struck and the sparks fly. It's is an incredible piece to behold, and I am super excited to share it with you all!

Wow really love that dial a true master-piece you don't see that kind of red ever day it's so red almost looks like blood stunning watch really love the red strap as well.
I completely agree. It’s a pretty unique deep red and the strap goes very well with it.
GS are amazing...a watch known about by true watch enthusiasts...they are up there with the finest Swiss watches

Grand Seiko know how to make a Beautiful dial. The rest of the Watch is awesome too, but if you appreciate a Beautiful Dial, you cant go wrong with GS

GS has legion of fans just beacuse of that micro engineering which is better than any Swiss counterpart.
Just imagine if Swiss would have a spring drive,they would be charging this watch for 20k easily!!

How does the dial compare to Grand Seiko legendary sbga413 (shunbun pink dial)?
Thanks for watching! You know, I don't have one in my collection and I actually have not seen it in person so it would be difficult for me to make a comparison. I will say though in general I have been very impressed by most GS dials, and this one is one of the best I have seen.
@@watchgrokCool, I love the red dial on this GS. I’ve heard from some reviewers that the red dial in this looks pretty ordinary in low light. Do you feel the same way?
@@nikhilnair7499 Hmmm, I think it still has a pretty unique hue of red. I like how for GS watches it's when you look close you get to see all the subtleties of the dial. Yes it looks more amazing in direct sunlight, but I think it looks great at any time. @@nikhilnair7499 I have one and I have also commented on the dial's not being quite so red in person under ordinary light. Most of the time it looks like a deep burgundy and the texture is almost non-existent. I still like it, though, and the glide of the second hand is indeed mesmerizing as most reviewers have said. I'm not quite sold on the extra strap, however, as the red on the strap resembles the color of catsup (ketchup?) and clashes with the dial in my opinion. It is beautifully made, but if I were to go with a strap, I would most likely get a solid black leather.
@@jsusna1972I just got one and you are right. The texture is non-existent under ordinary light and the dial looks pretty flat. Sort of a letdown I would say.

GS design team just speaks my language I guess...that's the one brand that could get me to do constant damage to my wallet
They are definitely an amazing brand with fantastic pieces! Definitely feel you on the wallet 😅
As much as I praise them...I do have to admit that it's crazy to me they can't come up with a better bracelet. They are elite at everything else...makes no sense that their bracelets are so pedestrian (especially the clasps)
