When i first played this song at my band class, i hated it so much but now its just so beautiful especially the brass section. it makes me feel really tingly inside and it sounds really good if its played a lil bit slower
We played this for a concert and at the end I cried... It was such an emotional moment for me... I love your version too. It's great! I'm a 1st Clarinetist! 8th Grade Rocks my Socks!
I play the Alto Sax, and getting the right tone while simultaneously trying to blend in with the clarinets and flutes and trumpets, etc. is not so easy. Great piece nevertheless.
thereis no definitive tempo- being set as floatingly, the tempo can be faster slower and changing throughout the piece- visualized as a balloon caught in the wind.
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha XD i've only heard legends of....(dramatic pause) THE RED BALLOON O_O!!! ohh it's a joy to finally know what all the jokes were about hahah xD
Still crying over mcr tbh agreed, I am playing it in band and the pattern is easy(I play percussion) but getting it to sound just like it should is difficult 🍪
i play 1st clar. and i love this song BUT! i hate how we have 8 clarinets and 2 flutes so we have to be very quiet, and i hate all the stupid flats and sharps
Just because you hit the notes doesn't mean you play it well. This song is not difficult for anyone who has mastered tone, pitching and musicality. Unless you are a superbly gifted alto saxophone player, I doubt this, though I may be mistaken.
We just started playing this in band. All my friends dislike it but i think it's the most beautiful song we've played.
same! everyone in my band hated the song, but it was my favorite.

This song randomly popped into in my head. I played this in 8th grade band. That was over a decade ago. The nostalgia took my breath away

@renthead9311 Wish I could say the same for my band class.
shouldn't it be a bit slower?
I think its maybe a little fast, but not by much. Like you will actually see this 11 years later though haha
our yeacher said at measure 37 or something sounded like an evil clown grabbed the balloon when the low people come in
