Is there a significant, noticeable difference in performance or fuel economy, with vs without the FuelX + decat ? Any change in heat output from the engine ?
With decat the heat on the pipe increases and I highly recommend fuel x to avoid excessive lean mix (and higher temps then). Economy is quite similar because I also added a tooth on the sprocket. My last 5 refills were, in l/100km 4,09 - 4,55 - 4,83 - 4,10 - 4,54 Quite similar from before the full modification. But prob not adding the sprocket but making the decat + fuel x will increase slightly the fuel consumption. Speaking about performance, on mid/high rpms the decat is slightly noticeable, but once I did the sprocket mod the bike accelerates the same as unmodded, with the pro of both higher gear length, lower rpms with same speed and well, better high speed behavior + higher speed and high end acceleration (instead of doing 5500rpm you do around 4800rpm, so you can give more gas to the gear and it will keep accelerating easier). The best for me is the lower rpms without sacrificing almost no acceleration, on the 40-80km/h mountain roads I usually route with it helps a lot not depending so much on changing clutches.
