You 2 are better than me being out in that weather on purpose. I love the look of these retro bikes as well. Takes me back to my youth, at my age I will keep my large batwing, radio and hard luggage on my big heavy cruiser. Great video.
Me too not sure it’s an age thing but after riding some Bonnevilles last year I just had to have the Bonneville T120, bought in December and absolutely love it 😍 saying that Classic Retro bikes are so in at the moment even with younger generation. Good to see the first two up ride. 👍
Just subscribed and enjoyed your take on the BSA Gold Star ⭐️ Great fun look forward to seeing your other vids I enjoyed the Ride myself riding the Red one Great stuff guys 😊😊😊
Bought my Triumph Explorer XRX from Matt and Amy last year. Superbly presented motorcycle and an absolute five star buying experience. Clutch issue after approx 1000 miles (not the fault of MWM) was rectified without any problems. And as you say, you won't find a tidier showroom.
Well I seen the thumbnail, and thought she not having another bike, she have more rides, than a tart on happy hr,with banana skin knickers, lol, nice to a very back street garage with standards, you always rely on British winter weather, well another bike for the lottery list lol good to see you back out ,stay safe ,.
Less is more. Add lightness. Finally a lot of people are waking up to this. Small screen. Hot grips. Throwovers. That'll do nicely. Safe, happy travels 👍
Wow, send that dealership down Sarth!. Well nearly, more like south midlands, anyway, I love the attention to detail and quality of service they seem to display.
This modern take on the old Beeza is not a bad attempt . Baring the indicators & mirrors there is not much sign of it being a budget bike . They seem to be getting compared to the RE 650 twins ,by many reviewers ,which I reckon is pointless as they are a single & a totally different beast . They should sell well if they turn out to be as reliable as they appear ,look ideal for a run out in the sticks for a pint of shandy in nice country pub in summer . Good to see you both out ,dealer looks to have the right attitude which is getting to be a rarity ,pity about the crap weather ,but Spring is only a couple of months away .👍
Yeah as a coffee/weekend bike it's ideal as for reliability suppose that will become evident in a few years ... the dealer though was a proper refreshing change honestly every bike was mint
I love the dealer is inside a prefab unit! No joking, it has something more... i don't like when Bike dealer are too car dealer like... BTW it's bigger than i thought!
I've been waiting to see a two-up test ride on this bike. It's a real shame the weather was crap. I need to know about the experience for the passenger. That seat looks a bit short to me. Does the bike need a grab rail?
What a little gem of a bike dealership hidden away off the beaten track. It's good to see Faye in better health and back to her more bubbly self. The Gold Star did well chugging along well laden in not the best of conditions. It's always a bit of a disappointment when you plan a coffee break and the café is closed, especially when you want a break from the cold and wet. It's a pity the BSA was a bit tall for Faye, it would have been quite entertaining to watch her ride with yourself Shaun as pillion. Not such a good idea though if you can't flat foot to stabilise the weight 🙄
Haha tbh it was the plan for Faye to ride it but as always even with her ladystar boots it was just a touch to big ( with the insurance excess anyway )
Nice looking bike…hehe yeah, a second bike….what a great idea…..best not tell the wife my thoughts……agree bloody weather, it’s freezing cold in Jersey…..no riding for me…..I’ll enjoy your videos instead..cheers…..my NC750XDCT is nicely tucked up ….waiting for the warmer stuff

Hi guys, I had a good giggle watching this video it was such a shame that the weather let you down. Has faye managed to ride her new bike yet? Hopefully this long winter weather breaks soon, so we can all enjoy our bikes in 2023. ride safe both of you cheers.
At one point BSA sent bikes all over the world, such a shame how the company was managed in the 70s…like so many things in Britain at the time! Makes me want to wheel my 1952 BSA out from the corner of my workshop and have a ride…
@@johntolley1111 I read that they were still using machine and tooling from the pre war! tragic really when you think how massive the British bike industry was back then! Same thing happened with Land Rover when British Leyland took over… it’s all went to crap!
Sean, stop this and stop it now! I saw the look in your eye as you walked into the workshop and saw the GS on the ramp, it was the look of a man who had previously dumped his girlfriend on a whim / tantrum and then met her again only to realise how wrong he’d been to have done it😔. Watching you ride off on that BSA - a wanna be bike of the past and toooo small, well I shed a tear. You and Faye all bunched up on the seat trying your best to be excited but not at all convincing to yourself or me. I remember a time when I watched your tours - clue being in the titles - Tins on Tour, the pair of you on the BMW, a Lion & Lioness - a presence to behold and of the moment - not someone out on take away run deliveries! I hope and prey (though as a rule, I’m not religious) that you find your way out of the delusion you are in and return to the one and only true faith - BMW Adventure Biking. Until that day, my peace be with you on the journey back. PS, give my regards to Faye. Martin
Haha love it .... gotta be honest I'll ride anything but granted the BSA is definitely not a 2up bike when the rider is 18stone+ .... as for a gs hold that thought as the rninet is going at the weekend 🏍👍
Thanks for making the effort to bring us this revue , i love the look of the bike .
Cheers very much appreciated 👍

Great to see the two of you out in this wonderful English weather😂

Thank you both for a wonderful review. BSA build a tasty looking bike. Shoulder bag Faye modelling is very good. Really enjoy your banter.
Tbh that BSA bag comes everywhere with us 👍🏍
Nice one guys, pity about the weather but that's the northwest, nice looking bike.....
Yeahhh gotta make the most of it 👍🏍
My fingers are in throttle mode. Pure class.
Haha not been that cold for a while ... own fault though 🤣
Great episode guys. happy to see Faye feeling better and back to herself 👍🏻
Cheers John it's been a rough month or so 👍
Bike looks brilliant. Bought a bike from Matt recently. Absolutely first class in all respects. Could not recommend more. ATVB

I wish I lived closer. Love the dealer shop...
Honestly it's a refreshing change than the usual
@Tins on Tour as Ex military like ya self a tidy place pretty much means its a straight bike... I'm well gel...
Those dials going backwards makes my brain hurt ha ha, great looking bike! Good video guys. 🤟

The clocks aren’t going backwards ,they go the same way as others ,it’s just that they start further around the dial .

Really like that it looks proper smart,iv not had a single since the 70s (TS250) good times,I think the BSA sounds good 👍
U know what i wasn't expecting much from it but ended up miles better than expected
TS250 I had one of them (in yellow)
Nothing like a retro bike, having retro weather, hope you managed to dry out, nice bike❤️
I'm really coming round to them now 👍🏍
Great looking Bike . It seems to have no problem pulling to adults. I have not seen one here in the US yet.
Thanks for the video.
U know what for what is supposed to be a budget retro bike it wasn't half surprising pulled both of us no problem and was mega comfortable 👍🏍
Less is more. Add lightness.

Honestly a tiny bit lower and Faye would of been all over that ... so to speak
When Shaun jumped on the back,Fay would definitely get both feet flat on the floor.
Matt has a great dealership and they are such nice people 👍
It's unbelievably tidy isn't it
We have been restoring a 79 bonneville for short trips instead of our road glide no tax no mot cheap to insure and so easy to work on,roll on spring 😂
Ohh sounds interesting 👍🏍

Hi there got it from the Peterborough bike show
Just a quick question, have you test rode the Intercepter, which is possibley the gold star's nearest competition?

Tbh the pillion seat is OK for a quick hour but as u say its not the biggest or plush a proper grab rail would make a world of difference though
Not many BMWs outside the Ace back in the day😂
That's the trouble times move on
Why are the clocks on upside down 😜
🤣🤣🤣 when they 1st calibrate it's proper strange
The clocks on the original Gold Star, and most other motorbikes back then worked like that. Mahindra have done this to recognise the bikes heritage.
