Hey Pat, I don't know if you'll see this and you probably won't but I've been through a lot of the same things as you. Before I went to high school, I got a pretty bad concussion and developed depression that progressively got worse over the course of my freshman year to the point where it was literally crippling me to do anything. Before my sophomore year I started taking tricyclic antidepressants and hated every moment of it. I despised myself for having to take medication to feel slightly normal, and I just felt like I was trapped into taking it for the rest of my life. I stopped taking them with the help of a friend halfway through my Junior year and for once I started feeling better, like I had a purpose. The rest of my high school years I would watch TH-cam videos almost every day. Before that moment when I stopped taking the meds, I had only been watching your ultimate guides since Tranzit and nothing else, but after that I started to watch your videos and eventually live streams as a way of "hanging out" with you. It's helped me in similar ways the Z House has helped you, and it's one of the few things I always felt confident I could turn to and forget about everything else in my life I guess I haven't made it to my super happy ending yet as I still struggle with my depression today, but I'll have gone three years without antidepressants in January 2018. I'm now studying biomedical engineering as a sophomore in college, and am working my way to helping people to make their lives better one way or another. I guess I just wanted to say thank you for what you do, and I can't wait to meet you in person some day! Good luck with college, and I'm glad everything is starting to work out for you man.

Life kinda sucks when u have a concussion. U can't really do anything and u have to be careful not to hurt ur head and make it worse cuz if u get a concussion on top of a concussion, u will likely suffer severe brain trauma. thank you pat. i went through the exact same thing and suffered a concussion skiing on new year's eve, and pushed myself through it, kept wrestling and made it even worse. i messed up a nerve in my neck and for months it made my depression and anxiety even worse, and totally fucked my mood. this reassurance that other people shared this really helped me. thank you.

First off concussion suck, never had one but they have affected me through others. You may have pushed yourself too far but you made it this far. You are such a positive influence on many of us viewers and many others, you deserve to take breaks. If you need to stop youtube or whatever in life, just take your time. thank you pat. i went through the exact same thing and suffered a concussion skiing on new year's eve, and pushed myself through it, kept wrestling and made it even worse. i messed up a nerve in my neck and for months it made my depression and anxiety even worse, and totally fucked my mood. this reassurance that other people shared this really helped me. thank you.

Pat, I dont know you and you dont know me but Ive been watching you for 3+ years now. Ive never commented on anything that I can remember but this needs to be said. First off concussion suck, never had one but they have affected me through others. You may have pushed yourself too far but you made it this far. You are such a positive influence on many of us viewers and many others, you deserve to take breaks. If you need to stop youtube or whatever in life, just take your time. Everybody will understand Pat. People take a lot of things for granted and I do sometimes as well but I dont with you. You started to entertain others and if you stop for a while everyone should be grateful for what youve done for us so far and I thank you for that. I started to tear up a little during this video and Im just hope your head gets better and life keeps going in the right direction. Much love from the east coast!

For me it's nice to hear that other people struggle with the some of the same issues as myself like being anxious, etc. and to hear from you that it is possible to overcome some of these struggles gives me hope!
