I genuinely like how if you pay attention to Ewan's and Hayden's eyes (with their masks) they have a certain kind of focus but pure joy when they're dueling!

Hayden experienced pretty harsh backlash when Episodes 2 and 3 first came out. It was sad to see... But now, he's been fully accepted into the Star Wars fandom and it's completely beautiful. The message here isn't to hate on others so quickly because those same people are the ones you would be excited to welcome back 20 years later.

I always like Anakin Skywalker it was sad to see him get all this hate for trivial crap that became personal. Like people had to accept that this who Anakin had to become because of his story

We all have to admit, the series didnt have the 10/10 masterpiece script we wanted, but somehow Ewan and Hayden when they are on screen they MAKE IT WORK. Every scene with Obi Wan and Vader or Anakin was golden
I have just watched the Patterson fancut, and he has really done a good job turning the series into a 2 and a half hour film
I really hope this isn't the last time we see Hayden

They needed more Hayden and Ewan scenes. Simple as that. Hayden Christensen is truly amazing at wielding a lightsaber. It was a golden opportunity to have more of Anakin's dark side prowess from the prequels revisited in interesting ways. We could have seen more of Order 66, or a Clone War expedition we never got to see. Or even just Hayden in the Vader suit trying (and failing) to defeat the Emperor and learning his place. Or just some more scenes of Anakin and Obi-Wan simply talking to each other about life, being friends. Anything. Hammer home the tragedy. The possibilities were limitless. Sigh.
I agree. While I enjoyed the series, it was extremely wasted. Too much useless Reva and not enough Vader.
Apparently there were many flashback scenes with Hayden and Ewan but Kathleen Kennedy ordered they be cut out. Jon Favreau talked about this recently.

vader turned into a videogame character. Dude was throwing ships apart and dodging shit like a max lvl mage in world of warcraft. Fights were okay, basically just videogame fights again. Give me more of luke vs vader fights where their grounded and feel like actual sword fighting.

Those flashbacks were the best part of the show. The special effects needs a lot of work but it didn't break canon like the rest of the show did. My favorite part. Very cool

1:05. Is it just me or does this look better than the coroscaunt we see. It’s so much more vibrant than in the show. I know the desaturate a lot of stuff like in mandalorian and boba Fett. I really wish they didn’t cuz it honestly looks better normally like this.

why do they have to cut so abruptly and be so far zoomed in that you cant even really see them perform their cool moves a lot of the time...
I think it's funny how them preping up is already better lightsaber choreography then the sequels.
My favorite part of the documentary. It felt to have the good time with Ewan and Hayden doing lightsaber training and still kicking ass.
Anakin and Obi Wan may be enemies on screen, but off screen, Hayden and Ewan are friends in real life. I'm glad that these two got to work together again after 2 decades. Watched to the last episode, and I may watch couple more.
They have such a incredible chemistry for lightsaber fighting. So awesome to see that. I‘m sure, they already know the choreo from the showdown of Episode 3.

Prequel era Star Wars was definitely the good old days. Along with clone wars. Man how I miss the early 2000’s 💯
Over all, I enjoyed the Kenobi show and Ewan is always fantastic as Obi-Wan (even if the movie or show he is in, isn't perfect). Having Hayden back and seeing those two on screen together again was something special.

Disney needs to give these two their own show, these two are exactly what the fans want, they both actually care about the characters they play and Star Wars as a whole.
Actors will agree with me on this it is like a family reunion when 2 very close actors come back to see each other it is nice to see you you know

While I think Matt Lanter was pulling off Hayden's deep voice for Clone Wars. Hayden did also watch all of the Clone Wars and Rebels before filming Obi-Wan, and he probably thought his deeper voice and the portrayal Lanter did with the Deeper voice was better so he seemed to use a Deeper voice for the "Obi-Wan Show".
I got more emotional watching these two again than i thought would. Not like teary-emotional, but it was nice.
Hayden has aged really well
These two actors gave their all for just a mini series.

I don't give a crap what people say about the show, this was a fun series. I loved seeing both of them reunited again, and this show genuinely has some of the best Vader scenes in the series.

The Volume is insane i think it makes a big difference for those actors to really be in that environment and be their with your brother with all that history must be an amazing feeling

This series didn't give us the story we thought we could have, but some moments are great and endearing. Makes me think that this should've been a 2 hours movie instead. Reva stories could've been far shorter and the action could have more weight. The final episode is rather good, but problematic as well. I still can't accept the fact that Kenobi and Vader fought 10 years prior to ANH.

Obi Wan : "Well, I'm the one who leave, in both occasions."
It's always good to see Hayden and Ewan being bros again.

People take the piss out of modern day lightsaber fights, and I do agree to a point that Disney doesn't understand lightsabers or they're afraid of showing dismemberment or brutal harm to people, but I do love that they use practical glowing sabers to give the scenes a much needed ambiance. Early on they never really glowed and reflected off of surfaces, but in The Clone Wars animated series, they started having them illuminate surfaces.
They're LIGHTsabers, and them illuminating surfaces is both practical from a logical standpoint, but then also you get very epic shots of Hayden/Anakin in Vader's suit with his mask cut open and the angry red light illuminating his features, while Ewan/Obi-Wan's saber is illuminating his features making camera changes from one side to the other is very Dark Side - Light Side.
It still looks like a real Star Wars battle they still have the skills

I can’t remember the exact words but they said something like “We stayed in touch after we finished the prequels but once we reunited for filming, it had been about 7 years since we’ve seen each other. Perhaps life got in the way, we messaged here and there though. But before filming, we walked around a park for a couple hours and just caught up.”
As I’m typing this, I’m positive it was Ewan.

I feel like Hayden got all the hate from the dark side of the fandom that is Star Wars. Those that hated the prequals from the first scene. They never gave Hayden a chance. I am so happy that he is back and playing Anakin and even happier that he is playing Darth Vader in future works.
5 and 6 of Obi were still the best hour-plus of Star Wars since ROTJ.
I think they both put their all into it because they want to be back at it more than anything. These roles are legendary. It fits them perfectly too, I really do hope we get to see more of them in these roles too because let’s be real, they own them by this point

I’m so pleased to see Hayden back in the Star Wars universe.
The best fight scene hands down, was the one on Mustafar: Anakin vs Obi Wan from ROTS.

What I really want them to make is a Anakin/Padme love story with Hayden and Natalie because what was in the movies was lacking. It did not convince me those two were in love. Flesh out that relationship so much better!
There was a little more insight with the animated Clone Wars series. They fought the clone wars for 3 years and the entire time Anakin and Padme were secretly married. This series is also important to really see how Anakin became well known as a great Jedi.
Haydens still got the smile and Ewan still sounds like big brother lol age of heroes

Their saberfights are better just doing it from memory than anything Disney thought of.
Sequel fights felt like they were draging their lightsabers, Ewan and Hayden's duel is what it should be.
That makes sense though. Prequels were the height of the Jedi. Always fighting always training. The originals and sequels there wasn’t any jedis and no fighting. All Kylo had for training was Luke who he himself was basically self taught on books.

Because anakin and obi wan lived through the prime of the jedi order. They were trained by real jedi masters. Rey wasn't even trained in the traditional jedi way. She had to learn on the fly. Same way why luke was terrible against vader in their duel.

They intentionally have a very different style with all 3 eras. Doesn't matter when they were released, whenever they re visit the prequel era they turn the intensity up, and it slows down the further away you get from that era.
Like I told everyone in the sequel it like there dragging around their lightsaber.
@@dickgrayson7223 That's the problem... the fighting should've gone BACK to the prequel era style with Luke's new Jedi order. They took it that stupid ass direction of him falling apart and going into exile over Ben. They're finally redeeming some of that through Mando and BoBF, and hopefully Ahsoka.

I thought that we would NEVER see Ewan and Hayden again in a Star Wars film or show. Fast forward to the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, got to see them again! LOVE this show, Ewan still WANTS a Obi-Wan Kenobi: Season Two.
