You’re a man. You use whatever tool is around to get the job done. Some of these TH-camrs are kids. Yes. Sometimes you need a hilti or whatever. And sometimes you don’t. Not everything needs to be top or the line. What matters is getting the job done, not the color or the tool. 👍🇺🇸
I am a Montana contractor and I use Ryobi mostly. Why? Because they are cost effective and get the job done. That's how you survive in Montana. Seen a lot of the contractors that drove brand new trucks and ran the fancy tools go bust in the 2008 crash. I'm still standing because I'm not going into debt for new trucks and tools and bling. lol.
Exactly bro, I remember 2008 just like it was yesterday. Some of those same guys mortgaged their homes to get a piece of the pie too, only to lose everything. There for awhile though they looked like they were on top of the world. I never slowed down, my clients were solid.
I’ve had black and decker, Mikita, Dewalt and other brands over the years and have used Ryobi the 2 main brands that have never let me down are black and decker and Ryobi all other brands have failed or let me down. Over 35 years as a carpenter and joiner some of my black and decker tools still going strong example planer over 20 years and still going no issues at all. The brand really is irrelevant reliability is all that matters.

So I just did a job at a tool store. Was a specialty store selling high end tools (Milwaukee, dewalt, Hilti), and it wasn’t a big box store. I’m a glass contractor and they had a bunch of cracked windows in their front entryway. So anyway a FESTOOL sales rep shows up, starts asking me about what tools I use in my trade. I said I used to run makitas, but now use Kobalt cordless tools because they are cheap and good enough…. He shows me a cordless jigsaw… for $550 bucks, bare tool! Dude I cut plywood sometimes to board up windows, it doesn’t need to be designed by NASA….
The expensive power tools that built America twenty to thirty years ago don't compare to the cheaper branded versions of them now, yet it's all about comparisons. then it was oh this is crap just use corded and now , oh this is crap invest in festool or Milwaukee or DeWalt. Everyone just has to compare. I have other tool brands, yet I personally love my Ryobi cause I can get several tools for the price of a single tool of another brand. if it messes up, I invest in a brushless version, if not , I keep using it
Ahhhhh when does a Ryobi get any respect? Ryobi fanboy here just picked up some 4ah batteries and got a free Ryobi brushless 18ga brad nailer. Baby life is good again!
Im a contractor and had nothing but bad experience with Ryobi and im being 100% honest here.. Bought a multi-tool and batteries to help clean up around window frames.. Tool started to nock itself off after a week of everyday use.. Dust was entering the switch and making it intermittent.. Tried to fix it, it would work for half an hour and then stop again.. Batteries wouldn't last 15 mins on duty.. Brought the tool back and they gave me my money back.. It was terrible.. Im not a tool snob either.. I have an assortment of power tools to get the job done.. Doesn't matter to me what its called, as long as it actually works and earns its keep.. Im sure some are decent... But.. Fool me once..
Yeah, I always try and find some reviews on ryobi stuff, sometimes its great and sometimes its just a cheap tool and not in the good way. So far though all my stuff is either ryobi or corded but sometimes I've decided to get the hp version of tools which can be just as expensive as other brands or just ditched the idea of going cordless because its just not going to be where I want it to be
@@noobulon4334 I would never buy into a brand to be honest.. The reason is simple.. Back when I started on the job.. I had a bosch drill, stanley hammer, draper hand tools, dewalt circular saws ect ect.. Each brand was known for certain products.. Now its just a loyalty thing and people will buy the complete range from a brand because they dont want to buy batteries for others or believe that every tool they have is the best.. I buy what I want and if its cordless I just print an adapter to work with it or just buy 2 batteries from that brand.. If its perfect for the job then it will pay me back in no time.. If its just another tool because im loyal to the brand then im probably out of pocket when im not happy with it or it falls apart..
@@bread-gz3rl Dont be fooled by brushless.. I have a brushless circular saw and drill and I wouldnt expect either to be around in 5 years time like the brushed tools I still have over 10 years.. Brushless motors need a daughter board crammed with mosfets to work.. When they overheat or even just 1 component goes on that board, your brush less tool is either in the bin or back at the repairs center.. I opened up the circular saw and the daughter board is encased in epoxy which means when it does go.. I cant fix it... With my brushed tools, I just either replace the brushes or re solder a worn connection and back it goes to work..

I had a wall of blue tools now I have the green tools on the wall at my home. I don't know about contract work but if your a DIY homeowner buying contract tools for your home it's because you like spending too much. Contractors get paid for doing a job not for doing it with a certain tool so if it works use it.
