I've never given a shweet shweet poo about the brake on the blades when it comes to these types of saws so I'm unbiased and unfazed by that aspect. My current table saw doesn't even have a brake, never had an accident with it. Paying attention to what you're doing when running power tools is #1. Now for the thick and juicy part, fark yeah I want these saws!!!! I do as much mobile as in shop custom audio installation, so bat-ray powered goodies are a huge bonus for me. Ryobi has more things that I actually use and need than any other tool maker so it's a no brainer here. The table saw will fit on my passenger side floor I'd bet and the mitre saw .... Oh baby!!! It's satisfying to pull up to a customers home or place of business, unpack my tools, complete a job (Ryobi has solar panels to charge batteries, suck it every other tool maker) clean up and bounce without leaving a trace that I was ever there!!!! From glue guns, caulking guns, drills, saws, ratchets and everything you can't even imagine that you need, Ryobi makes my life easier and more convenient than ever!!! I'm a professional and that means no more saying Ryobi is "diy" or "consumer" grade. I run em as hard as I want, as often as I want and never get let down. Diablo blades, router bits and Makita XPS impact bits for the screws (if there's a better Phillips bit out there, I've yet to find it) just complete the package!!!! Yeah, I'm likely going to be a customer of Ryobi for life!!! The ergonomics are impeccable, my arthritis riddled body can't take the vibration of some of the other brands, the triggers are smooth and easy to pull, I'm not going to disrespect other brands, but Ryobi is made for the human hand plain and simple!!! Get on board with the green machines!!!
I appreciate your review, I bought a ryobi table saw 10” I believe 3-4 years ago and it was an unfortunate purchase for me. The fence was not square to the blade, I felt like I had to square up the blade to the fence constantly and yet in ripping hardwood it struggled to power through the material and my strips were consistently uneven. I mean it does what a table saw is supposed to but barely and it felt unsafe often because it wasn’t square or the motor would struggle so much I had to hit the stop and try cutting through again. Another issue was the ripping capacity was about 12” so no ripping for cabinet sides or anything past a ft. My fault for buying a tool I didn’t understand enough, it did allow me to grow skills and become familiar, etc. but the headaches this table saw caused wasn’t worth the waste of money for me personally. The mitre slots were very difficult to make sliders for bc it’s an annoying, uncommon size and design and buying sliders to fit impossible. So that meant most bought jigs wouldn’t fit in the mitre slots nor could I adjust them to fit snuggly and operate efficiently without a ton of play. Perhaps Ryobi has upped its game since I bought mine but other than the battery power capability it’s design and set up looks the same.
That Miter saw sounds like a vacuum cleaner. I have the corded Ryobi table saw, it’s fantastic. As far as the noise & dust, being outside it doesn’t matter. Those two Ryobi’s get 👍👍👍
I had the 10” Ryobi table saw, it was more frustration than anything and even dangerous at times. The rip capacity was limiting at I measured 12”, the fence wasn’t square and I constantly had to correct it, even then it wasn’t perfectly or adequately square and adjusting the bevel gauge was impossible. The motor struggled to rip through hardwoods or bevel cuts. I’m glad it works great for you, I finally got rid of mine. Hopefully Ryobi made major improvements on this “new” one but it looks awfully familiar to the one I had only mine plugged in and was 10”
My FIL recently retired and now does handyman work. These would be absolutely priceless for him, but he has the old school resistance to cordless tools.
Finally scored one... FYI, the sliders on mine came a bit too tight. Based on a tip on-line, you can adjust via the allen head screw and nuts on the right side slider. Mine is now butter smooth with no play.

So glad you made that one since I was looking for a post hole digger and was going to get a gas one but so happy I saw your video on the Ryobi battery operated. Noob here. I saw he was cutting the 2x4 with the sliding motion. Was that just to show the slide for the video or is there a benefit to sliding it vs dropping it straight down on small pieces
You have the sawblade guard installed incorrectly on the tablesaw, alignment on mine was very way off out of the box, and GIT is not a word in the English dictionary 😂
Just bought the same table saw for 50% off at Home Depot for $200, which included 2 battery packs and charger. And also picked up the same miter saw, and bonus free Ryobi Quickstand, from a Home Depot online sale package for $229.00, minus $25 easy Home Depot Card signup bonus. Thanks Home Depot! I switched out both blades for Diablos before making a single cut😂.
Or you can get a battery converter and use whatever batteries you have. As long a they make the converter from whatever you are using to Ryobi. I bought one to use from Milwaukee to the old 19.2 Craftsman. Order from Amazon.
Not gonna get the best out of the tool going this route. Yes it converts physically so it fits but doesn't mean it will have the same output. Not a big deal when using a new style Milwaukee battery on an old craftsman. However, using an old craftsman battery on a new Milwaukee tool will not yield the same results. Ultimately, there is more to it than just the voltage.
Pretty beasty for the homeowner/DIYer. Even better as a power combo with 8 1/4 cutting random stuff and the 10 inch miter making angle and 3X cuts. Thanks for this and go Steelers!
With you on this. I have a 12" Hitachi, and a 10" Fe$tool Kapex. Decided to buy the 7 1/4 Ryobi for small trim cuts when I don't want to deal with the hassle of the other two.

Just bought one of these Ryobi table saws and after putting together realize it only has one sled groove ..... WTH ryobi ? why is this what they've chosen to save money on ? All my years never seen a table saw with only one . Now I have to get this thing back in the box and hope Home Depot takes it back . Really disapointed

@@davefink2326 that would be a massive exoensive power brick. dewalt can do it cheaply with 120 volt to run a motor, but to make a high amperage ac-dc power supply take alot of components. Would be nice if they had a 60volt adpater though.
It's a bit of a swing and miss with these not being "hybrid" systems that can run off of a battery or 120V outlet. I have a Ryobi weed wacker that accepts an 18V battery or 120V power from an outlet...why not these?
Id have to disagree. Cordless is under powered for these tools unless it takes multiple batteries, they tear through batteries, and they arent portable so you have a cut station. The cord doesnt get in the way cause you're not dragging it around. Corded will run all day and way more power. I have the metabo hpt 36v multivolt 10" dual bevel compound miter saw. It came with the adapter instead of a battery. I dont think ill ever buy a battery for it. Its 36v so im sure the power will be good, but im sure it wont last all that long. If you're just doing a few cuts a battery will be fine, but if you have it on a jobsite and use it all day, corded is way better.
@@jacksmith2315 some jobsites don't have electricity. These are great tools if working off grid or you need to set up some place where an outlet is not in reach. For me as a handyman it's perfect whenever I need to make cuts but I don't have a way to get power to my saws. I work in apartments sometimes where I can't run a cord because tenants want their doors shut. A cord wouldn't allow that. Cordless isn't always the best but it definitely has it's place in the market. I for one am happy to have them because my main table 10" table saw and 12" miter saw are quite heavy and not portable at all. I have those for my home shop and these cordless are perfect for on the go.

I like how the new sliding miter saw uses only one battery. I have the older version that uses two 18volt batteries. It works just fine, and I really like it. However, once one battery goes dead, the saw will not work. I'm very interested in the cordless miter saw!
I'm a new sub. All I got is old, brushed Ryobi tools, except for my Brad nailer, Jigsaw, DA sander and triangle sander. They could be brushless? I don't remember giving a crap at the time of purchase. I just didn't want to change battery type. I have however, come upon some of the newer DeWalt brushless drill and driver sets, and damn! There is a big difference. Ryobi has only recently begun to release a brushless line, to slowly phase out their brushed line. That brushless DeWalt my buddy has is a real screw-snaper.!
You're fine. 90% of my Ryobi tools are not brushless. Yeah you get more power but the old ones have plenty. I used to have a DeWalt drill that I use for 10 years before the brushes wore out. I have one Ryobi that I used for 10 years as well approximately, before the brush wore out on that. Fortunately for me, there's a place near me that sells tons of barely used and brand new tools, especially ryobi, so I bought two or three extra drills for 30 bucks each. Look brand new. And they are the compact 18 volt. That place rules LOL :-).. By the time you have a problem with your tools, they will be woefully outdated. Note that I use the DeWalt to drill through hard coat stucco about 2 to 3 times a week. So I would say it was moderate use but fairly consistent. And I never had brushes go bad on any other tool than a drill since that's the cordless too the average person uses the mostl you use the most.
i been thinking of getting in ryobi tools for things like these that are budget friendly for my once a year DIY stuff, who needs to pay top dollah for a table saw that your gonna use once a year for 5 minutes, one day when i have money again i'm gonna buy a one of thoee packs from home depot during a sale

I have thousands of dollars of Ryobi stuff. - I'm not sure I'll spend another dime with them. Recently I purchased a crosscut whipser mower. Loved every moment of it. Unfortunately, it broke within weeks of having it. some type of controller electrical issue (manufacturing defect.) Because it was outside of the Home Depot warranty period, I had to get Ryobi involved. This means that TTI is involved not so much Ryobi because Ryobi will say "sorry, once TTI the RLC has it, its up to them" ---- That is problem number one by the way. It spent one month at Home Depot and they figured they couldn't fix it. It then spent 6 days short of 90 days at the RCL with parts that were back ordered not to show up until March which would be 5 months after the RCL got the mower and 6 months since I sent it to Home Depot for repair. I spent days arguing with TTI. This was absolutely abhorrent. Ryobi was hands off, said they can't do anything about it. After battling for days, finally getting Home Depot to share some data, it forced TTI to recognize they will be outside their 90 day window. They are sending a new mower. Long and short: The brand new lawn mower failed. It took 3 months to get answers and if I didn't push would have been over 5 months. Ryobi themselves couldn't care less what their repair side was doing. Because of this, as my Ryobi eqt. fails, I will be switching to something else. I will never again spend a dime on Ryobi stuff. Cheap tools, breaking tools and customer service that couldnt care less, repair houes that couldnt care less.... this is a common "death rattle" of a company. If this place isn't turned around soon, Ryobi will be the new Harbor Freight of tools and they'll slowly be gone.

Moving on, not sure about only having 1 mitre slot on the table saw, probably ok. Wish you had spent the $400k on a short 2x12 to run the mitre saw through. Nice but since I’m a full user of Ryobi for my flooring business I have the last brushless 10” dual bevel with use of two hp battery’s that’s the one I wish they would have kept in there line but that’s ok I have and now I might switch to the cordless table saw since I use the skill 8 1/4 worm drive to test out the ryobi one to keep it in family , but wort the skill I do love the rail system .. anyway Thanks for the update look at tools
I went to look at this saw the other day. They didn't have one in stock, but they did have the corded version. I was not happy at all with the roughness of the rails. TERRIBLE! I went to Harbor Freight and purchased a Bauer 10" corded saw that was on sale for $228. I am totally satisfied. I have a lot of RYOBI ONE tools and had my sights set on the cordless 10" saw, but I had to assume the rails would be the same on it as the corded one I tried. I expected much smoother operation on the RYOBI. All of my other RYOBI tools are much better quality than their rough sliding compound miter saws.
Clint awesome reviews as always the table saw has me almost sold I'm a rookie carpenter and my ryobi stuff is getting through the job enough but if you have put alot of miles on the hp table saw please let me know thanks for setting the standard for reviews on tools
The only cordless tool I like is 12v drill. Anything bigger than that I want the consistent, always ready at full power, corded stuff. But that's just me.
How old are you and when was the last cordless tool made that you used? New cordless tools have just as much power as corded. These two tools id rather corded because they are stationary tools. Set up a cut station and there they stay, you're not dragging a cord around using it. But they do make cordless ones just as poweful as corded. Metabo hpt 36v multivolt, makita 36v. Drills, impacts, recip and circ saws, even a grinder, cordless all day. Never have to worry about my tools not having enough power and needing corded. Grinder is the one portable tool thats sometimes nice to have corded if you're running it constantly cause they go thru batteries quick and do a lot of bench work with them, but for quick stuff thats away from bench/work station, definitely cordless. I could never imagine using a corded drill or impact ever again, and theres plenty of stuff a 12v drill or impact wont cut it and 18v is needed and more than enough power.
Look nice those new Ryobi tools, good quality for the price point. One thing I would say though don't buy these based on Ryobi's cut per charge claims. We tested all of their batteries with their circular saws against the claims on the website (same saw, battery and wood cut) and got a lot less than half of what was quoted.
You know everybody keep saying that Ryobi is a DIY and personally I'm getting a little tired of it because I use them in construction I've been using them since they were blue and red and yeah they keep up with the wall in Milwaukee on the job sites and yes sometimes I get my work done faster than the people with those tools. I would say the more apprentice to pro tool. Especially HP line.
I hope they sell the table saw tool only. I get this comes with a battery - but this is $399. The Milwaukee is $449 - no battery of course, but if i have a Milwaukee battery, which do you think i'm going to get...? The miter on the other hand is like half the price of Milwaukee, so good deal there!!
I think the price for the kit with the batteries is worth it because the difference of those batteries alone you'd be paying a lot more and I believe the table saw includes two for amp hour so you definitely can't go wrong with the kit. Still waiting for availability in my area
Just picked myself one up yesterday it has 2 batteries in the box and a free battery on the side that I return because it was 101$ going to the fle market to pick up 2 extra batteries for that price
Yeah, I absolutely agree with you that Ryobi's new Miter Saw is too high pitched. It definitely produces a much higher pitch than Dewalt's Miter Saw. Overall though, I love the designs of both of their new product tools, and how both are able to cut at a 45 degree angle. Also, I am probably the only one or maybe just a few who never liked the design of their batteries. I wish that Ryobi would spend some money to redesign their batteries to look like Dewalt's or Milwaukee's batteries.
Why can't Ryobi just continue being their own product? I've had zero issues with the battery design and my tools are my life!!! All Ryobi batteries fit all Ryobi tools (voltage matters) and nobody should be forced to buy all new tools due to a redesigned battery. I will admit though, my end game goal is to one day put a super sweet Delta table saw in my shop. But my Ryobi has been paying the bills for almost a decade ( end of this summer marks 10 years) and has never once let me down. 😎
To me they seem very anemic compared to standard 110 contractor table saws, and miter saws. But hey I’ve never used a battery power table saw. I have used the 36v makita miter, and wow that thing impressed me all around and definitely didn’t lack power like this ryobi appears to, but the ryobi is 18v compared to 36. Idk i think they should be a bit less. But as always you did an amazing job enlightenment us toolies, much better than Vinny and the cruel gang
I have the metabo hpt 10" dual bevel slider. The slider is on the side on the back so you can set it up right on a wall if you want since you dont have to worry about the slider bars extending out the back. Just like the makita. The 2 big things that got me into this saw, its cordless with their 36v multivolt battery, but it came with the adapter to run it corded instead of cordless, so can do both, just have to buy a battery since it came w the adapter not a battery. Saw has tons of power though. Very impressed. Very good quality saw. The best thing, i got the saw brand new at lowes on sale for $269. Yup... a $660 saw for less than 300. The adapter alone goes for $150-180, so basically paid for the adapter and 100 for the saw. This was not a return or anything. I was looking into miters for a couple weeks and almost bought the 7 1/4 kobalt for 150 when it went on sale but when i went to get it they were all out. Then i was contemplating the 12" kobalt for like 220 or 250, but i held off. Couple days later someone posted a vid of the metabo on sale for $269 so i looked for one in stock. Found a store that had 3. Almost bought 2 to sell one and get a free saw and all my money back, but decided to let someone else get a steal of a sale

Not bad I definitely stocked up on Ryobi tools this year because of their innovation but, I find the model of the tools are confusing. When I look at their HP line some take advantage of the 3rd tab on the batt and some don't so does it really make a difference if you buy their HP batt for the HP version that doesn't take advantage of that tab. Also their HP tool like their drills there two HP version which one better. This is not a complaint session just to point some stuff out that might be confusing to a lot of tool users.

I got the 12” corded miter saw and I love it! It works really good, the only complaint is the guard is straight plastic

There’s a guard on the miter saw, so you really have to try hard to get your fingers in there before the blade stops.
Or you can get a battery converter and use whatever batteries you have. As long a they make the converter from whatever you are using to Ryobi. I bought one to use from Milwaukee to the old 19.2 Craftsman. Order from Amazon.
Not gonna get the best out of the tool going this route. Yes it converts physically so it fits but doesn't mean it will have the same output. Not a big deal when using a new style Milwaukee battery on an old craftsman. However, using an old craftsman battery on a new Milwaukee tool will not yield the same results. Ultimately, there is more to it than just the voltage.

With you on this. I have a 12" Hitachi, and a 10" Fe$tool Kapex. Decided to buy the 7 1/4 Ryobi for small trim cuts when I don't want to deal with the hassle of the other two.

Just bought one of these Ryobi table saws and after putting together realize it only has one sled groove ..... WTH ryobi ? why is this what they've chosen to save money on ? All my years never seen a table saw with only one . Now I have to get this thing back in the box and hope Home Depot takes it back . Really disapointed

@@xephael3485 as far as I know, we see no high torque tools that are AC/DC hybrid. Just lights and fans.
@@davefink2326 that would be a massive exoensive power brick. dewalt can do it cheaply with 120 volt to run a motor, but to make a high amperage ac-dc power supply take alot of components. Would be nice if they had a 60volt adpater though.
It's a bit of a swing and miss with these not being "hybrid" systems that can run off of a battery or 120V outlet.
I have a Ryobi weed wacker that accepts an 18V battery or 120V power from an outlet...why not these?

Id have to disagree. Cordless is under powered for these tools unless it takes multiple batteries, they tear through batteries, and they arent portable so you have a cut station. The cord doesnt get in the way cause you're not dragging it around. Corded will run all day and way more power. I have the metabo hpt 36v multivolt 10" dual bevel compound miter saw. It came with the adapter instead of a battery. I dont think ill ever buy a battery for it. Its 36v so im sure the power will be good, but im sure it wont last all that long. If you're just doing a few cuts a battery will be fine, but if you have it on a jobsite and use it all day, corded is way better.
@@jacksmith2315 some jobsites don't have electricity. These are great tools if working off grid or you need to set up some place where an outlet is not in reach. For me as a handyman it's perfect whenever I need to make cuts but I don't have a way to get power to my saws. I work in apartments sometimes where I can't run a cord because tenants want their doors shut. A cord wouldn't allow that. Cordless isn't always the best but it definitely has it's place in the market. I for one am happy to have them because my main table 10" table saw and 12" miter saw are quite heavy and not portable at all. I have those for my home shop and these cordless are perfect for on the go.

I like how the new sliding miter saw uses only one battery. I have the older version that uses two 18volt batteries. It works just fine, and I really like it. However, once one battery goes dead, the saw will not work. I'm very interested in the cordless miter saw!

I'm a new sub. All I got is old, brushed Ryobi tools, except for my Brad nailer, Jigsaw, DA sander and triangle sander. They could be brushless? I don't remember giving a crap at the time of purchase. I just didn't want to change battery type.
I have however, come upon some of the newer DeWalt brushless drill and driver sets, and damn! There is a big difference.
Ryobi has only recently begun to release a brushless line, to slowly phase out their brushed line.
That brushless DeWalt my buddy has is a real screw-snaper.!
You're fine. 90% of my Ryobi tools are not brushless. Yeah you get more power but the old ones have plenty. I used to have a DeWalt drill that I use for 10 years before the brushes wore out. I have one Ryobi that I used for 10 years as well approximately, before the brush wore out on that. Fortunately for me, there's a place near me that sells tons of barely used and brand new tools, especially ryobi, so I bought two or three extra drills for 30 bucks each. Look brand new. And they are the compact 18 volt. That place rules LOL :-)..
By the time you have a problem with your tools, they will be woefully outdated. Note that I use the DeWalt to drill through hard coat stucco about 2 to 3 times a week. So I would say it was moderate use but fairly consistent. And I never had brushes go bad on any other tool than a drill since that's the cordless too the average person uses the mostl you use the most.
i been thinking of getting in ryobi tools for things like these that are budget friendly for my once a year DIY stuff, who needs to pay top dollah for a table saw that your gonna use once a year for 5 minutes, one day when i have money again i'm gonna buy a one of thoee packs from home depot during a sale

I have thousands of dollars of Ryobi stuff. - I'm not sure I'll spend another dime with them.
Recently I purchased a crosscut whipser mower. Loved every moment of it. Unfortunately, it broke within weeks of having it. some type of controller electrical issue (manufacturing defect.)
Because it was outside of the Home Depot warranty period, I had to get Ryobi involved. This means that TTI is involved not so much Ryobi because Ryobi will say "sorry, once TTI the RLC has it, its up to them" ---- That is problem number one by the way.
It spent one month at Home Depot and they figured they couldn't fix it. It then spent 6 days short of 90 days at the RCL with parts that were back ordered not to show up until March which would be 5 months after the RCL got the mower and 6 months since I sent it to Home Depot for repair.
I spent days arguing with TTI. This was absolutely abhorrent. Ryobi was hands off, said they can't do anything about it. After battling for days, finally getting Home Depot to share some data, it forced TTI to recognize they will be outside their 90 day window. They are sending a new mower.
Long and short: The brand new lawn mower failed. It took 3 months to get answers and if I didn't push would have been over 5 months. Ryobi themselves couldn't care less what their repair side was doing.
Because of this, as my Ryobi eqt. fails, I will be switching to something else. I will never again spend a dime on Ryobi stuff.
Cheap tools, breaking tools and customer service that couldnt care less, repair houes that couldnt care less.... this is a common "death rattle" of a company. If this place isn't turned around soon, Ryobi will be the new Harbor Freight of tools and they'll slowly be gone.

Nice but since I’m a full user of Ryobi for my flooring business I have the last brushless 10” dual bevel with use of two hp battery’s that’s the one I wish they would have kept in there line but that’s ok I have and now I might switch to the cordless table saw since I use the skill 8 1/4 worm drive to test out the ryobi one to keep it in family , but wort the skill I do love the rail system .. anyway

I went to look at this saw the other day. They didn't have one in stock, but they did have the corded version. I was not happy at all with the roughness of the rails. TERRIBLE! I went to Harbor Freight and purchased a Bauer 10" corded saw that was on sale for $228. I am totally satisfied. I have a lot of RYOBI ONE tools and had my sights set on the cordless 10" saw, but I had to assume the rails would be the same on it as the corded one I tried. I expected much smoother operation on the RYOBI.
All of my other RYOBI tools are much better quality than their rough sliding compound miter saws.

The only cordless tool I like is 12v drill. Anything bigger than that I want the consistent, always ready at full power, corded stuff. But that's just me.

How old are you and when was the last cordless tool made that you used? New cordless tools have just as much power as corded. These two tools id rather corded because they are stationary tools. Set up a cut station and there they stay, you're not dragging a cord around using it. But they do make cordless ones just as poweful as corded. Metabo hpt 36v multivolt, makita 36v. Drills, impacts, recip and circ saws, even a grinder, cordless all day. Never have to worry about my tools not having enough power and needing corded. Grinder is the one portable tool thats sometimes nice to have corded if you're running it constantly cause they go thru batteries quick and do a lot of bench work with them, but for quick stuff thats away from bench/work station, definitely cordless. I could never imagine using a corded drill or impact ever again, and theres plenty of stuff a 12v drill or impact wont cut it and 18v is needed and more than enough power.

Look nice those new Ryobi tools, good quality for the price point. One thing I would say though don't buy these based on Ryobi's cut per charge claims.
We tested all of their batteries with their circular saws against the claims on the website (same saw, battery and wood cut) and got a lot less than half of what was quoted.
You know everybody keep saying that Ryobi is a DIY and personally I'm getting a little tired of it because I use them in construction I've been using them since they were blue and red and yeah they keep up with the wall in Milwaukee on the job sites and yes sometimes I get my work done faster than the people with those tools. I would say the more apprentice to pro tool. Especially HP line.
I don't see anyway to use crown stops on the miter saw like my Milwaukee has. That's a big drawback for me.

I think the price for the kit with the batteries is worth it because the difference of those batteries alone you'd be paying a lot more and I believe the table saw includes two for amp hour so you definitely can't go wrong with the kit. Still waiting for availability in my area
Just picked myself one up yesterday it has 2 batteries in the box and a free battery on the side that I return because it was 101$ going to the fle market to pick up 2 extra batteries for that price

Yeah, I absolutely agree with you that Ryobi's new Miter Saw is too high pitched. It definitely produces a much higher pitch than Dewalt's Miter Saw. Overall though, I love the designs of both of their new product tools, and how both are able to cut at a 45 degree angle. Also, I am probably the only one or maybe just a few who never liked the design of their batteries. I wish that Ryobi would spend some money to redesign their batteries to look like Dewalt's or Milwaukee's batteries.

Why can't Ryobi just continue being their own product? I've had zero issues with the battery design and my tools are my life!!! All Ryobi batteries fit all Ryobi tools (voltage matters) and nobody should be forced to buy all new tools due to a redesigned battery. I will admit though, my end game goal is to one day put a super sweet Delta table saw in my shop. But my Ryobi has been paying the bills for almost a decade ( end of this summer marks 10 years) and has never once let me down. 😎
To me they seem very anemic compared to standard 110 contractor table saws, and miter saws. But hey I’ve never used a battery power table saw. I have used the 36v makita miter, and wow that thing impressed me all around and definitely didn’t lack power like this ryobi appears to, but the ryobi is 18v compared to 36. Idk i think they should be a bit less. But as always you did an amazing job enlightenment us toolies, much better than Vinny and the cruel gang
I have the metabo hpt 10" dual bevel slider. The slider is on the side on the back so you can set it up right on a wall if you want since you dont have to worry about the slider bars extending out the back. Just like the makita. The 2 big things that got me into this saw, its cordless with their 36v multivolt battery, but it came with the adapter to run it corded instead of cordless, so can do both, just have to buy a battery since it came w the adapter not a battery. Saw has tons of power though. Very impressed. Very good quality saw. The best thing, i got the saw brand new at lowes on sale for $269. Yup... a $660 saw for less than 300. The adapter alone goes for $150-180, so basically paid for the adapter and 100 for the saw. This was not a return or anything. I was looking into miters for a couple weeks and almost bought the 7 1/4 kobalt for 150 when it went on sale but when i went to get it they were all out. Then i was contemplating the 12" kobalt for like 220 or 250, but i held off. Couple days later someone posted a vid of the metabo on sale for $269 so i looked for one in stock. Found a store that had 3. Almost bought 2 to sell one and get a free saw and all my money back, but decided to let someone else get a steal of a sale

Not bad I definitely stocked up on Ryobi tools this year because of their innovation but, I find the model of the tools are confusing. When I look at their HP line some take advantage of the 3rd tab on the batt and some don't so does it really make a difference if you buy their HP batt for the HP version that doesn't take advantage of that tab. Also their HP tool like their drills there two HP version which one better. This is not a complaint session just to point some stuff out that might be confusing to a lot of tool users.
From my observation the newer ones me has darker black plastic than the older one power wise probably a slight difference
