Thanks for the video - if only replacing bulbs you can remove the metal shield around each bulb - replace the bulb and click it back on . No disassembling required

I wish you would have shown how you actually got it out that's the hard part

Same Light fixture in the rear of the Venza. Found it easier to remove the metal reflector with a small blade screw driver than to disassemble the fixture to access the bulbs.

Thanks very much - it's weird that my vehicle is Camry 2009 LE and it does have dome lights as yours 2011. Anyways, it's very helpful and I am able to replace my dome lights with LEDs.

You are welcome. The 2010-11 had a mid cycle revision, this might have been a result of that.

A quick disclaimer. I had a problem putting my back firmly. It was always sagging and loosely attached. You have to, I found out, that the white flaps in the clips that look like upside down Ts, are supposed to be secured inside the clip channels. This would save you some headache trying to figure out why yours isn’t going back in firmly.

Needed to know where the clips were to remove it from the ceiling. I didn't watch the rest after that but thanks for the video.

I tried the same method shown in this video but it didn't work for me to take out the bulbs. the way I ended up doing it, I detached the grey outer area from the white area being careful of not damaging parts. it was easier to do.

Question: How did you remove the main unit to get to the bulbs? I noticed he started his video with the unit already out but did show or explain how he did it.

I bent the metal plate slightly outwards and used a long nose flier to remove and install the new bulb.

I really appreciate you doing this I have a 2011 Toyota Venza with has this exact same light however I don't know how you got yours out. What did you use spoon, a stick, a straw? It defeats the purpose of watching how to change the bulb if I can't get the Dome off. So could you please do a video on how you actually got it off thank you.

I used a flat head screw driver, watch the part of the video which shows the position of the locks and then you should be able to do it

@@akhaqan No worries, your video was very helpful in getting me started. I also did a video on removing mine but focussing more on how to remove the cover so I added a link back to your page for anyone who wants to see how to get the bulbs out. Thanks

I needed both hands for that so didn't shoot that part:) If you move to 50 seconds and later in the video you will see the locking mechanism on the front & back side of the light housing, there are two retainer clips that need to be pressed with a flat head screw driver, the video will show you the approx. location of where to press with the screw driver. I hope it helps.

@@lloydbanks6609 pry open the unit about 1/2" then you will see two slotted clips about 2" apart from the centre. Insert a flat head screw driver into the clips then you will hear click and they will loosen. Repeat on the other side and the unit will drop. Once you get inside on each bulb side there are 4 clips. Pull on the metal protector in front of the bulb and at the same time insert a flat screw driver and give it a little pry on each clip then the bulb unit will loosen. Failing to do any of these may break the clips and the whole unit may hang loose from the ceiling.

Why the fuck did Toyota make this particular light so hard to replace

This is way to much work and not the correct way to do this installation, watch jay racing productions video for the correct way!

This video was made 6 years before the JayRacingProductions video, it wasn’t available at the time.
