I agree with the first part, we are dead, lights out. But the second part I don't think is we are dead. if you listen to 6:57 you can hear it the clearest, I can hear her singing bright. I also think they say soon we will start breathing. Not stop breathing. I think the latter part may be ≈ We born bright, soon we will start breathing. I think brightness and starting to breathe are thematically in line with the title of the song. Euphotic means the layer of water into which light penetrates well enough to make photosynthesis possible. Light is bright. Photosynthesis makes breathing possible.
