Great video. Can't wait for part 2. My younger nephew accidently launched my new unit and the screen cracked on the bottom right. Waiting for my replacement screen to arrive and then watch your video for repair.
Yeah, but the issue might be the legs/notches that fall in the case to align them correctly. They are different. Therefore, you might be able to fit them, yes, but they won't be centered upright.
Excellent teardown guide. Just for the record, the thumb sticks are identical and are therefore interchangeable. The only thing I'm curious about in my RG35XX H is what is behind the rubber grip that connects to the mainboard only after the back is put back in place. I'm not sure if that's a temperature sensor or what it's supposed to be exactly.
Is it possible to swap out the mechanical switches of the trigger button and replace it with a more silent one ? I don't really own one yet but I'm familiar with desoldering mouse switches and encoders. Do they even sell "silent switches" for these trigger ?
Working on it today. Uploaded hopefully by tomorrow bro. Sorry to hear that. Lol but might as well replace the unit. Did you get a replacement/donor screen?
I have question brother, I see that in my rg35xx h left stick which is main for movement is bad and cracky, but not the right one. Is it's possible to swap them?
@@Coruptn yes, I move it and at the middle and at the 2 places when it paces it kinda clicks and stucks for a milli milli second, like something on the path, and I don't know why it happens it's only in the left though
@@xenakil3563 Yeah bro, give it a shot! Shouldnt take you more than 10 minutes to do this bro. Swap the right one for the left one. Or if you are really enjoying that device, id get some hall effect sticks for that thing. Another thing you can try is take it apart, and maybe give it a nice clean with a thing cotton swab before putting it back in. Might have some dust/dirt in there.
@@Coruptn btw changed sticks, but problem was that it holds by 2 screws and one wasn't fully screwed into, that caused stick in rotation to move in their place and make that noise and stuckness, now both works perfect interesting issue
Is there a way to disconnect the vibrate motor? Mine won't stop vibrating when I switch it on until I switch it off. I have reported it to anbernic but looking for quick fix
@@disneydude2000 I recall in the latest muOS when I press both L2 + R2 together it toggles the vibration on and off. When the 2404 version of muOS gets released, grab that and see if that does the trick for you.
Do you know if it's possible to clean off those smudges between the back plate and the battery? (As shown in 1:38). Mine is the transparent purple model and also has those marks and it's driving me crazy
@@Coruptn damn that's such a bummer. I love how this console looks but that little imperfection almost makes me regret having bought the transparent version over the black one

Great video. Very good view of the disassembly. Keep up the great work my friend. ✌️
Thanks cuh! 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Great video brother! Can’t wait for part 2. Ordered a clear xxh from the Tiktok shop. I debating on doing something like this
Thanks Mike! You a real one!
Amazing work, bro. Posted this on reddit to get it some more exposure.
Thanks Mano! I appreciate it.
Here from VladNerd to thank you for the tear down video
Very keen to see part 2! Thinking of getting one do dye dark green.
That is really helpful! Now I know I can physically switch the A&B and the X&Y buttons since they are individual buttons.

Glad I could help! Stay tuned friend. Part 2 is in the works already.
Is it me or is the SOC sitting right on the battery? Nice video, btw!
Sadly, it is right on the battery.
This is fire 🔥
Thanks obelisk! Appreciate that big dog!
Great video! Please show us the how to on the dye job! With your help I might have the confidence to give it a try!
I'm still waiting for part 2 :)
Great Video !
Glad you enjoyed it! Stay tuned for more.
Can you make a video of how to replace the battery and put a better one in? Please and thanks. 🙏
Is it possible change it's screen to a higher resolution, and a larger battery?
I want to see part two of this lol
Same! 😂
Ever since I found your channel, you seem to be everywhere, Crystal! We're really hanging out in the same corners of TH-cam. 😄
Will you publish part 2 ? Keen to see the full process :)
aww no part 2... was hoping to see the screen disassembly
I feel terribly sorry, as I haven't had the chance to get the second part uploaded. I've been super busy with my new job and just life in general.
@@Coruptn all good man :)

Thanks, man
Every time I come across this thumbnail I think it’s a pic of an RP2S
Considering the RP2S in green is a beautiful console, I'd assume this to be just as good lookin? If so, gracias amigo! Thanks for stopping by.
Good luck on your TH-cam channel
Ayyye! I appreciate that brother. You as well.
Where did you get the new shell?
When part 2?
joysticks are same as Nintendo Switch joysticks ??? Can I replace them with switch joysticks...
@mdismailhossain2219 yes you can. Same ones.
Is it possible to replace the battery? I think mine is faulty.
nice video friend!. Hope to see more like this!
Thanks Fred! I appreciate bro.
when will part 2 come out for screen removal i cant use mine now because screens messed up :(

By the looks of it, it seems that the little motor is soldered onto the board. Only fix would be to desolder..

When mine arrived it didn't vibrate even though I installed the stock mod so I restarted it and it went back to normal
part 2 ?

It looks like you can replace those joysticks with the Nintendo switch ones
The rg405m using trash micro switch shoulder button compare to H it's using good microswitch
oh yes, battery used as a heatsink :(
When Part 2 ?
