Adding some points
- Dont trust builders sweet words
- Ask payment schedule before agreement and verify with actual, buluders will collect entire profit of the project withing 2-3 payments then tehy will not give importance to us.
- if pissible get entire structure and design before agreement or atleast before work starts.
- For elevation, carpender and other extra works they will not provide quote, at the end will get surprise, so ask many time and stress them to provide.
- for wood work dont trust them, after agreement start looking
- Take video and photo copy of every stage particulrly mistakes
- while enquiring builders, visit some under constrution sites check materials, how they storing and workers are experienced and folliwing process.
- Dont talk more and speak with careful to them, they will identify our weakness, lot of spy in labours
- They will ask to take a decision imediatly and kine point, dont do ask some time think disuss with family then proceed,
- if any mistake they will divert you to orher work,
- check material quality every time, visit site on daily basis

Sir, the cost of building a 1000 sq. ft. house with columns (raised by 10 ft.) increased by 1000 x 2000 = 20 lakhs. TOTAL COST = 20+20= 40 LAKHS Since the area is prone to water logging the house has to be raised. Any suggestions to reduce the cost. Thanks

You should strictly add a point to land owners that they also should adhere to the points written in agreement. Because lot of house owners will ask for additional works ( which is not mentioned in agreement) for free of cost which builders can’t do . At the end of the day they will complain builders have cheated , they are asking all extra money for small works .

I just want to check on the house kitchen and toilet work that was done in our current house. But the price seems high for those work. The engineer provided me the quotations for the work but he did not provide all the material pricing and other information. One builder quoted 2200 sq.ft later he changed to 2400 sq ft during agreement signing period and added 18% gst. Those materials also not good. So We ran away from the builder.
