- I bought a 1981 Silverado that was a neglected, abandoned project. It's ready to get back on the road mechanically now! Test drive !
I put on a couple of new tires, right tie rod ends, u joint caps, tail lights, wiper switch, spark plugs, fill differential fluid and do some exhaust work.

Your doing a great job!!! The red truck would look good with trim rings in the wheels!!!
Another great chevy lives again
I’m same way on long truck I do like them but I like short ones also
I love square bodies, that truck looks pretty straight, It should be awesome once your done. Keep up the good work and the awesome videos 👍✌️🇺🇲
Thanks
I work for a camper manufacturer and what you said about the long bed pickup trucks is spot on 100% true a short bed pickup truck will never hall or tow better than a longbed.
I love them square bodies, long bed, not short, but don't mind the paint. Make it too pretty, someone might try to steal it!🤣 Your cat's are so chill! I also absolutely HATE lowering trucks! What's the point of having a truck if it drags on speed bumps!
Please replace the rear u joint. That's where your vibration is coming from.
It ended up being the catalytic converter shield hitting front of driveshaft.
Lee to each is own. We get it you said it last two videos because other do there is nothing wrong with that I don't like long trucks new cars but I watch you do what you do it's cool. Relax on what you don't like or understand. I like watching you work what you can do with minimum keep grinding
Sweet!❤❤❤❤
Had an '87 long bed. It was the last year they made that body style. It was solid Red Same looking interior,
Had a 5.7 and I dropped a Corvette roller cam in it!. 6" lift kit and Rancho duel shocks in the front, Rancho steering damper, 35" BF Goodrich all terrain TA's. Man, I Loved that truck! I'm sure you'll get her looking good when you're through with it!. Thanks Lee
The one shot of the rear end , after you put the u-joint in, you could see a gap between thr cup and the yoke like it wasnt tight enough. I think its the rear u-joint that is giving you the vibration ,possibly ,
it was the catalytic converter shield hitting the driveshaft
so you saying in 71 trucks did not come with wind shild wippers?
I appreciate all your content, down to earth restorations. Keep up the good work Lee
Thanks
At harbor freight has a can fill with air helps jumps tires jump on the rim not the dangerous spray can light on fire
Fuse maybe
May be that u-joint. Or a swing bearing

I have to agree with you on all the things you said about a long bed vs a short bed pickup truck! Short bed?????
Had a similar sound coming from my pickup and an old rear brake lining had decided to come unglued. But you’ve got lots of rattles, it’s hard to tell. It’s gonna be a nice truck when you’re done though

Make sure you have all the bolts installed on the wiper motor to firewall. It appears to be a bad ground. One of the bolt holes has a ground strap on it that needs to be installed.
Love it . keep it up all the videos are great.
Thanks
Great video as ALWAYS i love the long ones i learn more lol
Thanks
Sure its not the fan rubbing the shroud?

👍
Truck running pretty good just a few bugs need to knock out
Thanks again Lee..enjoying from the Philippines.
U the man lee good video
Looks like we're going to cat man du. Kinda sucks that's why I'm coming to you. About to drop this subb.
I was noticing how smooth it looked and sounded going over the railroad tracks, then that scraping or dragging noise kicked in. I was thinking clutch fan was hitting the shroud or something. Didn’t sound healthy though.😫
You’ve figured out worse so I’m sure you’ll get it sorted out soon enough.
I’d search for some 31x10.5x15 tires they used to be one of the most popular tires for ages and I’d imagine fairly cheap ones would be around.
Can’t wait to see her all painted up!👍🤠

C'mon MAN ‼️ I wanna see you paint the white SS El Camino and finish it.😔
He said he's painting it soon just getting the truck road worthy first. He just painted the black 1 it's in the shop drying. Have some patience he's only 1 man Jezz. He can only do what he can afford to do.😉✌
Me Too! I got hooked on the Elky SS.
Chevrolet stop painting engines red in 1977

She'll be a nice cruiser with a little more TLC from Lee.👍See ya on the next video brother. 😉✌

Talk, Talk Talk. Come on dude. Show me some work. Fabrication?
I'm with you Lee. If going to have a truck I want a standard cab and longbed.
