Sometimes it doesn't take a lot of screaming for a song to sound good. Her songs would sound much better if she would sing normally, without a lot of screaming ad lib.
Her performances have changed over the years from singing, boy did she have a great voice….to screaming. So much so my ears hurt. She sang very little and depended on her band and back up singers to perform throughout the show. I was worried about her because of her need to stop singing after one song. She complained about being out of breath several times.

People criticize her for her memory lapses but hell I know 20 and 30 yr olds who can’t remember what they did the day before! Auntie Patti you are the 👑. I like Patti LaBelle, but she has a tendency to over sing her songs during her live performances, and it doesn't sound good because she screams too much. Sometimes it doesn't take a lot of screaming for a song to sound good. Her songs would sound much better if she would sing normally, without a lot of screaming ad lib.
Her performances have changed over the years from singing, boy did she have a great voice….to screaming. So much so my ears hurt. She sang very little and depended on her band and back up singers to perform throughout the show. I was worried about her because of her need to stop singing after one song. She complained about being out of breath several times.
