Bravo Bravo Brandt!! what a relaxed and happy version of this concertino! beautifully played, and Andrea, beautiful piano playing, great collaboration!
Interesting use of rotors. Both “C” and “F” in third position. Is this with second rotor? Is it due to tuning first rotor such that these notes are not available in first position?
Hi andy, C & F are both available in first position as well, but many times I find it more comfortable to use second position. For example moving to a 4th position afterwards would make the distance smaller. But as well on my horn the 2nd valve isn't 'tunable' with the advantage that there is no double tubes in the second valve(to make it tunable). For my feeling this makes the 2nd valve a tiny bit more compact and easier speaking. Try it, you might like it as well 🙂
Bravo!!!! Marvelous trombone tone and trombone and piano interpretation!!!
Was playing this and Jan Koetsier in my 'Abitur' 20 years ago. Now having an emotional throwback. Wonderful.
