Love these videos! I finally caught the Olympic Mudminnow, but not far out -- this one was really close in, around 100-150 feet. I just happened to take a chance on some bubbles in that location, and was surprised to see it was this little guy! Named him Tiny Tim. He's so adorable! (I digress...) Also caught a few other epics closer in as well; wonder if they've changed the game mechanic? Hmm. At any rate, these videos are fantastic help and I always consult them whenever I'm trying to catch a particular fish, even though I've now caught all the fist in the game, including all the epics (Korea and US West). Thanks again for the very informative video. I have used a lot of your tips and have faired out nicely. Now to wait until the salt water epics are shown. I have one that is eluding me. Not sure the name, but it looks like a flat flounder. I can snag it but when trying to reel it in I always loose it. It doesn't jump so I never get the snap. If you are able to get a video on that one, I would really like to know what I am doing wrong. Either way, keep up the great videos.
Yep on level 20, he is huge! Biggest thing is to get those directional pulls in the opposite direction of the swim on that one. If the line gets too red drop your tip and stop reeling. Then start reeling immediately when the line turns white again.
@@TheVRFisherman thanks for the tip. I got him last night. Found it easier also to use the float fishing rod setup. didn't seem as much of a struggle. Also pulled in my first 6 gill. I had an awesome fun night. Thanks again.
Hi Do you use this method for salt water epics too?
I do, Those are next but I follow the same methods. Find the lure or bait that isn't used as much by the other fish, fish the depths listed on the fish information screen and work my way from left to right a few feet at a time.
I have tried to play this location a few times but I can't get it to where it'll let me pick up my rod. I'm not sure what's going on because I switched between the float fishing rod and The lure fishing rod and yes they are for freshwater. Not sure what I'm doing wrong but I would love any help anyone can give me.
Just that location? Good lighting in your room, controller batteries good?
@@TheVRFisherman yes it's just that location. I'm on 40% right now but it has happened with better battery life.
@@frozenpiper2 that is odd, I have had similar issues when in my living room and the sun was really bright but it wasn't just 1 location. I would email support@miragesoft.com and see if they are aware of issues or have a solution.
@@TheVRFisherman I just had an issue on 7 or 8. The other boat location. I have fished there before and it is dark here. I also changed the battery with no luck. I'll definitely email support. Thanks for your help. I've caught 8 epic fish today. I am new(ish) and didn't realize you could look the fish up at the location and that you had to be on expert.

Yes for Epics you must fish on expert
I can’t catch the sturgeon
A couple other techniques, since it is a large fish you can look for the large swirls and target them with crawfish on top trying for an instant red line. Another option is to do the method I show in the video but cast out, reel in a 5 count, pause for an instant red line, if it does not turn red reel in for a 5 count again. Do this 3 or 4 times then quick retrieve then cast a few feet away and repeat.
