I have a very similar Klipsch setup. I’ve had them for about 4 years. I can report that they have held up very well. They sound amazing and I have no complaints.
The RP-500SA II have a frequency response of at least 80hz - 20,000khz. No posted literature online, but in my room (all 4 speakers, in overhead Atmos config) were able to hit 60-70hz. Your room may vary the response you get. I left mine at 80hz crossover.
I love klipsch. I bought a pair of rf7-iii’s and the rc64iii with surround and atmos all klipsch and I’m impressed by the sound coming out of these beasts. Nice video as always keep up the great work! 🙌

Nice review on the design changes. Love what they have iterated on. e.g. the cork pads on the bottom, moving the labels to the bottom, connectors -> metal, etc. Looking forward to seeing the reviews of how they perform in upcoming videos.

Great video youthman! I am excited to see your upcoming video on this setup with a dirac receiver. I have the older pioneer vsx lx303 9.2 receiver running 5.1.4 with (2) Klipsch RP-8000f, RP-450c & (6) polk OWM3 for surround and atmos. I would really like to upgrade the surrounds and atmos to Klipsch but am content with this current setup for now. I do have an issue, it sounds fantastic to me when the sub is turned off in the receiver settings. I feel like I get a very good mid and low bass from the RP-8000f speakers and am just really impressed over my old Polk Audio Monitor70 Series II (which I also really enjoyed). My issue is when I turn on the subwoofer in the receiver settings I lose all that mid/low full sound front my front stage. I assume this has always been an issue with my setup that I never noticed but as of right now, it sounds so much better with the sub turned off. I would like it to sound that way while being able to adjust the sub to my liking depending on what I'm watching. I have run MCACC a few times with no luck and tried looking online. Anyone out there have any ideas of what I am doing wrong?
Man I'm looking forward to this build/setup series. I own the previous version of the pioneer elite receiver (vsx-lx503). I'm running it with an external amplifier to get 7.3.4 setup. I know you are going to use dirac live but could you also show how to use and calibrate with the MCACC as well, maybe do a comparison between them.
Really looking forward to seeing the set up videos. I have the LX505 and I'm a noob so any tips and tricks would be amazing. Keen to hear your thoughts on the 600m ii as surrounds. Something iv been contemplating between is those and the 502s ii.

And the Arendals would be better IF you like wide dispersion speakers. Personally I don’t, having returned the 1961 MTMs, I prefer horn’s pin point accuracy.

The only thing I don't like about having an all-Klipsch-speaker setup in my home theater is it's too dark to see them! I love their look. And the RP-II sounds amazing.

I have almost this same set-up! Only difference is I'm using the spl-150 for a sub, and the front height channels aren't built into the fronts. I'm using four of the 500SAs instead. It is bloody awesome I love it! Also using an integra drx5.4 for my receiver, I considered the pioneer for a while though. It has been a great time putting all this together and building it into what it is now, I couldn't recommend klipsch any more highly ❤
Oh also I've got a pair of RP502S running on the sides so it's a 7.1.4 😊
Cool I just bought the series 2 rp 800f and the 502s series 2 the rest ate the series RP series 1 and SPL 15x 2 subs
I have a RP-600C V1 center channel for sale at a bargain that has the 6-1/2" woofers. Really does have a bigger sound, but I upgraded to 8"!
I have the pioneer vsx lx301 and it would be nice to upgrade to the lx505... maybe one day. Great video 😉👍🏼

Those look like pretty amazing speakers, I would love to put them in my home theater, but right now, I'm focusing on my cars audio.
When showing white text on screen for specs, draw a translucent black or grey box behind the text to add a little contrast in the event the image behind the text is also white.
Thanks. I just re-watched the video and the white text is easily seen throughout the video. It would be different if I was trying to display it over a white projection screen.
That system would just disappear in my living room. 😀No one would be able to tell I have a home theater and will be shocked by how good the TV's speakers are. J/k some serious gear from Klipsch.
I love my rp gen 2 series speakers have the rp5000fii and rp 504cii and I’m gonna get another set of rp5000fii for surrounds as I don’t like the r-50m gen 2 much edit are the new rp series subs aka the beast gonna come to the USA ?

A couple questions...I want to replace my R34C (only one that would fit at the time) and get something more matched to my RP600Miis and was thinking of the RP504Cii, but it's too expensive. would the previous generation (version 1) be a good substitute despite the X-overs being set at drastically differently frequencies and the bass response not as good? It'd be about 1/2 the price on Amazon. Also...oh, shoot. And what's the difference between a "height" speaker and an "Atmos" speaker?

Thank you for the kind words August. Yes you can absolutely use the Atmos speakers as side surrounds or height speakers. There is a switch on the back depending on how you install them.
Youthman, What do you do about the Atmos top firing mains when you're putting them behind your screen and the firing into dead space (ceiling behind the screen)? Speakers look amazing though!!
I think for the purpose of the review it would be best to not place these speakers behind te screen but next to it. I also don't see youthman taking out his JTR setup and there is not much space left behind his massive screen 😅
You are correct. All speakers that I review are placed in front of my screen and cabinet. These would not work well behind my screen for two main reasons. As mentioned the upfiring speakers would not work well. The other reason is the Tweeter would be entirely too high since my speakers are on a platform that’s about 3 feet off the ground.
I got the RC-64III and the 8000F II, love it.... I dont how else to ask this, but are you able to do a review on Rythmik Subs?
I reached out to Rythmik several years ago but did not get a response. It doesn't seem like they do much with reviewers.
I love klipsch. Nothing looks more impressive than having the grills off when you are doing a movie night

@@Youthman well… I figured since pioneer and onkyo are made under the same roof, that figuring out how to use Dirac from my phone they would be parallel to each other, in trying to set it up. The Dirac app was giving me trouble. So I downloaded the onkyo control app and it let me used Dirac but I’m not entirely sure if I’m getting the full usage of getting Dirac to work as it should. But if I’m wrong about this, please let me know 👍🏼
I like this Youthman. This is more attainable than what you have. Please don't get me wrong I'm not a hater. I love seeing your system as well as others who are able to afford the best. I find it interesting how one beautiful system can very to another. 👍🤛
Thanks. I feature a wide variety of products at different price points from super budget to somewhat high end (I don’t get into the hundreds of thousands of dollar items). I also feature home theater tours with varying budgets and room size.

Hope you do more TV reviews. I've tried to go the projector route but none of the ones I've seen can match QD-OLED. Plus the fan noise can be annoying during quiet movies.

Good luck setting it up, everytime i have to update my 5.2 system with anything or add anything, its back to square 1, taking all chords out of the reciver, re wiring everything, making sure all banana plugs are snagged in the wire, and then its a pain tryna put the reciver back in once that is all done cause of the wires and everything, then its calibration reset for me, reposition all my speakers in to the good spot, check both my subwoofers and thats it.
I’m going to see if I can connect everything without having to remove my Marantz processor and swap it for the Pioneer but if that’s the case, it’s not that difficult as I have direct access behind my equipment.
What will you recomend a denon receiver or marantz for this klipsch gen 2

I have heard the original THX Ultra2. They were a bit too laid back for my taste and wasn’t great for music. I haven’t heard the 6000

I’m not saying they are bad. Trey Canon speaks highly of them and he works at Klipsch. I would need to hear them to know if I like them. I just didn’t care for the original THX Ultra2’s that I demoed.

It’s just what they sent. Three years ago they sent a 7.2.4 system.

The RF7 III has a much larger 1.75” compression driver which is what I believe really helps separate the Reference Premiere. Not to mention the additional slam from the dual 10’s.

I got a problem with my Atmos speakers kinda seaming to blend in with my other speakers at times is there something I can do I got the Sony receiver str1080 5.1.2 no one can seem to give me any answers?
Check out Home Theater Gurus. It’s probably a speaker placement issue. Watch all of the videos and you will learn a lot.
There could be a number of issues from placement to not having them level matched. Could even be your Sony. Difficult to troubleshoot in the comments.

It really is too bad that upfiring speakers don't quite hit the mark. It would've been a great solution for certain situations. It works better on short ceilings & it is somewhat better than nothing.
You are correct. I have always recommended going with in-ceiling, on-ceiling or height speakers when possible. Upfiring can work, but as you've stated, there are a lot of factors that have to align to make it work right.
I have the Klipsch upfiring speakers and they sound awesome and of course my ceiling is low as well.
@@michaelsmithdjsmitty4538 I agree, they do sound good for what they do. But, I firmly believe that if you want sound to come from a specific location, then put a speaker there. (If feasible)

NEVER klipsch again.. I've had two klipsch subwoofers that broke(the amps) down on me..
I've owned 10 Klipsch subs over the years. (2) RT-10d, (2) RT-12D, (4) RSW-15's and (2) R-115sw's. I only had one amp fail on the RSW-15's but that amp was over 15 years old so that would be expected.
@@Youthman Klipsch amps seems to be particularly sensetive when you unplug or connect them to power.. Both mine failed within 3 years of using them daily..
Ah, I never unplug mine.
Onkyo reciever is better for klipsch

You can still get same or better results with other room correction. It’s all about calibration.

I have been a moderator in the Klipsch forum for the past 16 years with 15,650 posts.
I have been “advertising” for Klipsch for a very long time as I have always enjoyed their sound and have openly shared my love for the brand and their speakers.
This video is no different than my typical Unboxing / Overview videos, except I skipped the unboxing portion as I have soooo many products (non-Klipsch) currently in for review that it would add way too much time to the process.
If you look at my 660 videos, you will find probably a half a percent that are actually sponsored videos. I always that up front and in the description and check the box that says “This video may contain paid advertising.”
By law, content creators are required to disclose to our audiences any time we receive payment or even receive free product. There are many other creators that have sponsorships, they just do not disclose them.
I do my best to be transparent when I have either been paid or receive free product. I do not offer paid reviews but will certainly create additional videos on a product (setup, calibration, menu walkthrough, comparison etc) to provide more exposure for a brand or product.
That’s the way it should be. If that offends you, there’s not much I can do. Be blessed.
