Evil Intentions is my most favorite and intense channel. #1 fan! Yes, seriousness and professionalism should be two of the most important aspects as far bringing in the true story from the past. When you bring in the true facts of not only the victims, but their families as well, your demeanor has to be serious as well as informative. Anything else would be disrespectful and victimization towards the families as well the victim. Giggles and a dry humor would be anything other than bringing the story seriousness and make your podcast nothing but a joke. Thank you for all you do Jose.
I absolutely love evil intentions... I literally go to sleep listening to these stories... he's 1 of my favs... (it's all in the voice lol) I just subscribed to this channel and I'm excited!! 🎉
Yes, aside from the topic his voice is so relaxing. I would have never guessed he is goofy. Goofy people make tge best friends. Evil Intentions is #1 in my book. ❤❤❤
Im a subscriber to Evil intentions i love how he tells stories of regular people and its fascinating to really understand what happened to the people who got murdered etc..
Listening to Jose discuss his early videos and how he got started is fascinating. I always wondered how he handled the potential backlash, and his answer did not disappoint. Also, the contrast between running one of the best channels in a serious niche and being one of the funniest Facebook post writers I've ever witnessed is kinda mind boggling to me. lol Another 🔥episode!
For Jose ,Everything you said about the way you are on evil intentions is the reason i came and i stayed . The Best true crime channel there is. Its good to have different sides to your personality. I'm not the same person at work as I am with friends and family . Really good job on here too,
I like how there are layers to you, Jose. You win me over with having unlimited goofiness and clowning in your life😉 👏👏👏👏👏 @ both of your channels. Kudos to your cousin too!
As people who grew up as millennials, we grew up hearing these things on the news. I respect this channel. This guy is sick. ❤❤❤I feel like I went to high school with him.
I’m also a subscriber to Evil Intentions … IMO Jose is the most thorough, insightful, empathetic and most researched creator out here for true crime. Everything about his videos makes them too notch all the way down to his kind mannerisms and even his voice. Great podcast … thx👍🏻 Kay from FL🏖️ Jose is spot on (as are you) about his take on the child welfare (DCF, DCHS, etc). The ones that need to be removed to survive are overlooked at times and the ones who are taken for minor offenses having their families forever ruined is just unacceptable…
Yeah my mom was in a 35yr abusive relationship until he passed in 2019. She could’ve been K*lled several times and one moment that sticks out…our neighbor att and friend of mines house burnt down and my stepdad was drunk af and he ended up getting mad at me for something and didn’t want me to stay with my friend at a families house bc she just lost her home and I wanted to support her, but i ended up going. The next day my mom got knocked out and hit her head on the coffee table and I guess my stepdad’s best friend att got scared bc my mom wasn’t waking up & wanted to go next door where police and fire was still at the house, but he didn’t bc my mom woke up. I remember coming home to my mom all black and blue. So I know your stories hits home and can help others. I appreciate what you do. Im an SA survivor as a small child but I watch anyway bc I these poor children went through hell and I feel as a true crime content consumer it’s something I need to watch for the victims. I’ll never forget about baby Hope 😢 I really wish more could be done for these babies. You’re so right kids get taken away for no good reason and miss the cases that really need help. Idk I have sm respect for you Jose. I had to bow out of watching a recent episode bc I was in a bad space, but came back and watched later. Keep doing what you’re doing and I love this podcast ❤❤❤
Loved this episode. Took me home - you mentioned my hood, 93rd street 🙏🏽😭 and my former primary school, PS75. I left that school in 1987. Amazing days! The discussion around the cases gave a lot of insight into the depth of the investigative work you must do prior to putting your work out for us to view. Thank you for all you do 🙏🏽
Wow, we all went to PS 75. Emily Dickinson School. I was there for elementary and middle school myself. Some great childhood memories from there. Glad we could bring you back. -MB
Jose watches Bailey Sarian doesn’t he 😂 I feel she jokes to help her get through the tough shit. I love that Jose, is serious and really is respectful to his victims (not that the ones that joke don’t) and is really compassionate. That’s why it’s nice to watch him on here to get to know him more with his fam. I watched unsolved mysteries and it’s actually where my love of true crime started and I used to watch Autopsy when my fam could afford HBO lol 😂 Idk I’m so glad I came across Jose channel and now this ❤ It’s crazy to see how much comedy has changed and I feel some take stuff way too seriously when it comes to comedy nowadays. I loved back in the day comedy. I was an 80s and 90s kid so it’s such a shift in comedy.
The way Jose presents the stories make me reminisce about my childhood during the 70s and 80s. Also I feel like Im there in the moment wanted to save the victims.
It was the wild wild west in the streets when we were young. If we didn’t have water balloons we were throwing something haha. Thanks for listening -MB
26:25 big facts, I also feel like in NYC things are getting more and more expensive cause their trying to push people that have been living in particular areas out so they can change the areas dynamics especially in Bushwick Brooklyn, Myrtle is different and so is knickerbocker.
Definitely! It has been happening slowly and not so slowly for years. It is sad to see. NYC is one of the countries cash cows though, so it squeezes everyone. -MB
@@SaturdayGigantic thank you for the reply! So I made that comment before you guys started talking more about it (and did indeed identify it as the show I was thinking it was lol) and I actually meant to delete it but got distracted (by something shining probably lol). But now I'm happy I didn't! I knew that I loved true crime before it was a thing, (in 5th grade with the nick at nite reruns of dragnet) and this show came out when I was a teenager. That's how I learned about the legend that is Dr. Baden, first heard of munchausen by proxy syndrome, learned about Petechiae of the eyes, and though I had heard my dad speak of the Walter Scott case often (my dad and him had been childhood friends) this show presented it from the aspect of forensic pathology and forensic science, which to me was just so awesome as I felt that I then knew it from virtually every aspect possible. I wanted more than anything to do the job that Michael Baden does but as life does it takes us down different terms sometimes we go off the beaten path voluntarily sometimes we just get discombobulated and lost now and then and end up on a different route on a different path not necessarily a bad 1 but a different one nonetheless. Anyway though yeah the show didn't really freak me out or scare me but that's probably because I was extremely intrigued by it. Now you want to talk about scary things, to this day I still have a fear of the rock a fire explosion animatronic band from showbiz pizza and I'm still kind of creeped out by unsolved mysteries. Lol
40:32 Yep a lot is demonized and I believe you should make money even if you have a day job. You work hard Jose, on these videos and deserve it. I make content on instagram and it takes money to put it out. Idk I love what you do and I hope one day you can make money from this beyond putting it back into equipment etc…
No back in the day though you stole somebody else's material they can find you and punch you out Robin Williams got punched out by Tim Matherson back in the late seventies.
Sadly, it is a different time. People take intellectual property too often. It sucks when it happens in standup especially. It just cast a shadow over anyones work who is questionable and there colleagues. We’re going to drop an episode soon where i talk all about standup comedy and the NYC scene. I been doing it for a decade, hope you catch it. -MB

Are you talking about autopsy that was on HBO and it was hosted by dr Michael Baden???? LOVED THAT SHOW
Yeah, we were. It used to creep me out more than the scariest horror films. -MB

I’ve been trying to get in touch with Jose Ortiz about a case in the Bronx 7yr ago that should be featured in evil intentions
