The funnest thing to me on my homestead is yes chicken baby's and collecting eggs. I can't believe I also love my ducks and collecting the eggs from them too. My Bielefelder's all go to bed early too. They are in bed way before the other chickens. I really like my garden and fruit trees but I do love taking care of my chickens. Even making their little chicken pens all neat and tidy is fun for me.
Egg collection is a lot less dramatic this Spring than it was last fall. I could not keep my chickens in my chicken yard. They were all over the neighborhood. So I would get 3 or 4 eggs in the nest box and then had to start looking around the neighborhood for the rest of them. They hid them under vehicles. They hit them under bushes. They hit them in a boat. Crazy, but they're all locked in now.They can't get away.And they're finally starting laying too
It would be more comfortable for your animals if you put some insulations on shed roofs. Your roof is made of galvanized sheets and built low. Also the sidings are made of tin. I can imagine how uncomfortable and hot it is for your animals during sunny days. That chicken mobile, i guess its about half meter high, thats a purgatory, pardon my word(im a French). You can test the hotness of it by putting yourself inside during the full blast of an noon sun. Just a suggestion, my friend, pls dont get offended. Gday.
I didn’t see where he asked for tips and suggestions on how he can improve his animal houses. Guess I missed that part of the video. Why do people always feel like they have to give their worthless opinions.
