@@sammyoak5378 I think "Rikishi Seth" or "Sumotori Seth" would be a much better fit
Yokozuna is the highest rank, not a general definition for "master" or "teacher". It seems to me that such a channel name would be disrespectful to the cultural aspect of sumo.
Yokozuna is seen as a demigod by people who take sumo seriously. You can't be self-aggrandizing like that in my op. It is not worthy.

As a former offensive lineman for 10ish years, I've always maintained a VERY strong lower-body. Even during an unhealthy time when I dropped down to 175lbs I had a 40 inch hips. Even at my largest as an adult (250 lbs) squats are pretty much effortless, muscle endurance is great.
All that to say I have been considering doing Sumo as sort of a hobby because I always want to stay active. Especially since surviving Stage 4 Cancer a few years ago. Watching Seth go for it is really making me want to make some calls in my state to see if there is any organization that would have me train and possibly compete. Congrats on the win! Yes, Seth. YES!!!
You proved that it's possible for you to win a big tournament!
You showed that your previous experience in martial arts was good enough for you to pick up sumo and quickly gain enough experience to win titles.
12:06 - WHAT A WAY TO WIN LITERALLY FROM BEHIND.
PS. The fact that you will represent US in a WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP... AWESOME.
PPS. Five guys won medals from your school and three of them (including you, Seth) won gold. You chose the right school.

First of all - Congrats! It is very cool to see your progressing and gaining victory!
I think we all need to support Eric after this tournament. He competed just incredibly in my opinion.
I always enjoy watching his matches. His attitude, concentration, not to mention his technique, are inspiring and his matches against heavier and bigger opponents are amazing. It is a pity that he get silver this time, but he prepared, trained and brought several athletes to a high professional level, as far as I understand. I'm very happy that Seth finally took the gold, obviously, but I don't want to forget who inspired and trained him. What a great rikishi!
I hope to see more sumo videos and more of him in these.
Congratulations again to all of you guys! You are awesome!

I really want to see a video with your dad and his reactions and thoughts on your exploration of martial arts. How has he seen it impact your karate? What has he seen that he has wanted to explore? Is there something in each martial art that he found to be common that he wouldn’t have thought about? Is there something in each martial art that is unique to it that makes him want to try it? Being so experienced in karate, is there another martial art he’s seen that he thinks in another lifetime he would have loved to pursue in the same way as he did karate? Is there a martial art he’s seen you try that he thinks you could be as proficient in as you are in karate? Etc lol. Love the videos!
