I play oboe, piano and saxophone to! Although I just started oboe a few weeks ago I think I’m getting pretty good and I started saxophone about 6 months ago. I’m in 6th grade btw
Had to go back and look and you’re right. The part of the screw the player turns will always be on the right from players perspective. Ligature probably still works just fine… just not being used as designed. Not shocked an oboe player wouldn’t know that.
@@someoneIsInYourCloset Get annoyed if you want... your choice. Playing over 30 years with a music degree as a saxophone major and played for a living earlier in life. Fact is ligatures are intended to be positioned so the right hand turns the screws (since 90% of people are right handed). Will it really make a difference if you don't do this... usually no. You can also use a rubber band for a ligature if so inclined. Analogy... you can wear basketball shorts backwards. Will they still serve the intended function? Sure. Is it what is intended... nope.
There is many ways to hold a trumpet yet yours is the weirdest Not saying it’s bad just saying I’ve never seen that form in my many years of playing trumpet.
I saw oboe and got scared (people usually sound bad), then I read the name of your channel and it sounded good 😂😂
I’m glad you liked my playing!
i absolutely love english horn. it's majestic
Same here!
Is it a off-hand obbo
yep!❤
@@Whitehawk....yep!❤
The mario music is so lovely
Omg the Mario 3d world theme!
One of the best soundtracks out there!
@@Zekes_Oboe Honestly it's so awesome; that game was my teenage
The white recorder is a soprano and the brown/black one is a sopranino.
The recorder tune brought back so much nostalgia. That's every elementary music students introduction to playing instruments.
Love that you played Marcello’s oboe concerto
Saxophone 🔛🔝
im sorry but the way he held the trumpet made me tweak😂 other than that im impressed at how many instruments he played
I was surprised he could even make a sound lol
Me too 😂
@@Zekes_Oboe ive heard a lot of things about how its harder for people on reed to play trumpet so props to you man
the baeoaue oboe kinda looks like a fancy salt shaker
I agree haha 😂
The Mario theme song is crazy
I love the baroque oboe the best
“Oh no, it baroque!”
All is good
Missed the force from Star Wars on english horn
Next time!
I’m in 4th grade and have oboe ☺️
Start them young! You have my support from the double Reed family
@@iDominic360 oh, Tysm,
@@iDominic360 it’s hard but I love it!
Musician: So what instrument do you play?
Him: Yes 🤣
Exactly 😂😂😂

Brodie was playing ode to joy measure 17
Bro causualy took a star railing and passed it off as an instrament...
you could definately play the chinese suona instrument, for beginners I would recommend the D keyed but for western music players, C key is sufficient
Oh cool! Yeah I’ll have to try it one day!
We NEED a full cover of Mario 3d world music.
I have one on my channel! You should check it out!
I loved to own and play a baroque oboe. Where did you get the instrument?
Have you listened to 8-Bit Big Band’s cover of Super Bell Hill? It’s very good, especially if you like jazz
No, I’ll have to check it out! Thanks for the recommendation!
İ am a oboist too
True
Marcello sounds soo good on baroqe oboe.
I agree!
a lot of woodwinds! you should learn more brass like trombone
That’s on my list to learn eventually! I’m gonna need a bigger savings account if I’m gonna buy a new instrument though haha.
Throwback to super Mario 3d world
OK am I the only one that noticed that he has an entire organ in his house
try making a cup with your LH and then strike the claves not just grip them, place it in top and lightly tap
Ok got it! Thanks for the tip!
Nostalgia of when Mario was a furry😢
😂
when i heard the end of the oboe(last 5 notes) i was going...
123, で弾け飛んだ!(
(One, two, three de hajike tonda)
(English: One, two, three, it exploded)
if ydk the song, its Readymade by Ado. It was really the last 4 notes (Minus the very last one) that make me hear it. The song wasn't Readymade tho)
Needs more claves
can you spot the oboist?
Why does it say this vid has House of Memories in it though
THIS IS EVERYTHING BUT HOUSE OF MEMORIES
That oboe looks like a salt shaker
YOU SHOULD GET A CLARINET
Maybe I will!
@@Zekes_Oboe yayay
That’s not a ‘soprano recorder’. It’s a ‘sopranino recorder’.
You should get the trombone
Im pretty sure you need to rest the clave on a closed fist. My band director has to remind my percussion how to play instruments all the time.
Good to know! Thanks!

Is that all you have? Do you perhaps have some more percussion instruments you could use?
I’m sure I could find some more percussion instruments somewhere. Nowadays anything can be a percussion instrument.
Blud must be rich or something
Nah just knows where to shop.

I play oboe too. what oboe you got?
I play on a covey! You?

For the saxophone the ligature is supposed to be the other way round

Depends on mouthpiece and sax.
@@L3lnddepends on what side the screw is on (the part that you use to tighten is always on the right)
