Wow! We had the same issue about the bright light bulbs in the house we moved in. That's the very first thing I did as well--I changed all the light bulbs to a warmer light. One good thing about this house is that there is a light in every single closet! That's one good thing they did in this house. Enjoy your channel very much.
❤ Thank you for sharing your knowledge. In Europe, we keep orchids many, many years. The method you suggested is the best, and I keep mine for about 30 to 45 minutes in the water. Mine blooms twice a year; 3 and 3 months each time. 😊 Yes, months. Only water once a week. 🎉
I love orchids and yes the "ice cube method" can seriously harm you orchids. I have been successful reblooming my orchids, especially miniature moth orchids. They need cold to set flower spikes. I keep the on my window sills in the Winter.
Peace lilies are generally easy, but they are what I call dramatic plants. They can go a while without water, but when they hit their threshold for no water, they wilt like nobodies business lol. They perk right back up after you water them and are very hard to kill, but they will certainly let you know when they are tired of you not giving them water lol.
New subscriber here.😊 I love your video content and soothing voice. Also love how you encourage antique and second-hand shopping! Everything is so lovely.💞
You have such a calming way about you! I really enjoyed listening to your suggestions. I'm a bit older than you and have been decorating since I was 12. I literally painted my bedroom at 12 for the first time, country pink, ( yes, my mother showed me how and then left the room and let me do it myself, lmao!) Anyways, I have a large 130 yr old Victorian house and I decorate it with an eclectic flair. I love mid century, but I try to nod to the era of the home, I use a mix of antiques but I love color! I have to say I'm excited that color drenching is becoming a thing because the all white, grey and blue is not my vibe. It can be lovely but it's just too plain for me personally. My trim is all white, some of my walls are greige, but some of my ceilings are turquoise and I painted a willow tree branch sweeping around a large circle mirror from the 60s. With deeper turquoise arm chairs and decorative area rugs. While my dining room is soft apricot. We have 4 fireplaces 3 painted white and one was left in the original stain. I love keeping things alive, different, not expected. And I couldn't agree more about plants, lighting and scent! Again, you are such a beautiful woman and I look forward to watching more videos! And I know, I'm so long winded, I've been told my whole life. 🤣😉
I’m am so excited to have discovered your channel. I paused it to order the kitchen lamp ❤. Thank you for these wonderful suggestions and photos to accompany them . Your sweater is beautiful too .
I treat orchids like cut flowers. I buy one in the winter and let it shine, if it doesn’t survive 🤷🏼♀️ it’s easy to pick another one up at Trader Joe’s. Fresh flowers only last a week orchids last 3-4 months.
What bothers me is that you all pushed this can lights and now you all are against them! Got it! From now on I’ll do whatever I feel comfortable with and not taking any expensive advice from anyone
Thanks! Fair warning, it takes forever to come in, but I love it so much. Totally worth the wait. www.etsy.com/listing/1012479559/?ref=share_ios_native_treatment
Great video! I love the double light fixture over the island in the first shot. Any chance you know where to find it? Do you have any recommendations for unique (and hopefully affordable) lighting resources online?

Snake plants can be killed by overwatering. I have none varieties of snake plant. I love them. I have over 100 plants in my home, including a cast iron plant (practically indestructible)
About the plants could you PLEASE let us know if their safe for pets?? I do know the Peace plant is poisonous for pets. So PlEASE be aware of plants that AREN'T safe for pets!!!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Please, please, put a warning to check and see what is NONTOXIC to pets; especially cats! I love plants, but love my cats more; so when shopping for plants, I ALWAYS check while in a store or nursery, what plant is nontoxic to cats and keep a list in my purse. There are plenty plants, both low light and high light, that are cat and dog friendly! Several plants you showed are TOXIC to animals; especially cats!

Opening the windows for a few minutes everyday when the air feels the freshest actually lets fresh in!

Excellent suggestion about plants. I’d never thought about the texture and interest they bring to a space. Thank you!

What is the name of the color on your bookshelf? It is really pretty❤

I have never pushed can lights. All is not lost, just add lamps and some accent lights and don’t use your cans as much or put them on a dimmer.
Exactly!! This also applies to all the “advice “ on every aspect of YOUR life. Do what feels right for you and THAT will become timeless for YOU.
We have our can lights on a dimmer. Helps the mood a lot.
Hello. Do you have a link for the flower pot that contains the pothos flower?
Thanks for the plant advice I have a really bad track record.
Love the video! Do you have a link to the cute lamp on your kitchen counter?

What is that wonderful color in the background of you! Question do you think that color will work with kitchen cabinets?
It’s Ben Moore Britannia blue. Yes, I think it would be gorgeous in a kitchen!
@ WOW, thank so much for your reply!
Very well said!

I will probably not worry about plants. I chose to have children instead.
