With how well the video is made, I would’ve thought this was a channel with hundreds of thousands of subscribers, only for me to see you made a 1k subs celebration! Your work is amazing, keep it up!
Your video quality is top notch, really hope more people see this. Super Baby and SSJ4 Gogeta are my favorite GT characters so seeing this is pretty cool. Nice job 👍
Repainted a few dbz figures and now working on a baki figure. Glad to see you found Vallejo paints, compared to cheap craft paints the difference will be unbelievable. They are built for this kind of thing
Fantastic job my dude. If I had your talent I would make a Super Baby 2 myself as well since Bandai is dragging their feet on a Masterlise. Please make more videos like this!
Man this looks awesome. I had also bought this bootleg figure because Banpresto hasn't made any of him and I can't afford their rising prices for less shading products. I've been thinking about repainting mine and watching your video has got me pumped to do it now.
@@jons.hobbyroom some of them yes. Like the Ichiban Perfect Cell that's coming out. I missed the previous Cell which I cannot afford to buy now, so I'm so glad they released another one, which I'm pre-ordering just in case. But man it still hurt my wallet.
In my experience it’s possible but it takes a really long time. If you have a heat gun it drastically cuts down the time but you have to be careful not to put the figure too close or it’ll melt. Boiled hot (not while it’s boiling!!) water has always worked best for me cuz I can just leave it in there for like 5 minutes and then come back and pull some parts off, and then put it back in until everything is apart.
*just to be clear it’s BOILED hot water!* don’t put the figure in there while the fire is on! But to answer your question I usually keep it in there for like 2-3 minutes before trying to take a piece off. If it doesn’t come off I’ll throw it back in. Sometimes have to reheat the water. Bootlegs tend to come apart much faster than official figs!

Is it just me or do they also smell kinda nice too?
@@jons.hobbyroom that’s just you bro 🤣
i was so invested in the beginning of the video, but once you put baby vegeta in the pot and had him say stuff in Japanese i lost it laughing
Beautifully crafted work! I really admire such a wonderful paint job and it inspires me to maybe one day try this out on my own. 👍
Fun to watch. Would have liked to see a before/after side by side when it’s done.
Thanks for the feedback! I’ll try to incorporate one for the next video! But in the meantime you check out my short for a quick before and after.

Thanks, means a lot coming from you! And agreed on that front…we beed more GT masterlise for sure, Greatest Saiyan is carrying the series!
@@jons.hobbyroom I would never talk shit about Super 17 again if Bandai would just give us a Masterlise
Don’t make promises you can’t keep!

go for it! and agreed on banpresto's products! although some newer releases have impressed me in the sculpt so that's something at least!

Why Super Baby Vegeta caked up? 1:28
It’s because he’s a martial gyattist

Do you know if it is possible to detach the body parts of the figure using a hair dryer instead of boiling water?

How long should a figure be boiled for?
